This place was very loud the music is unbelievable. The waitress was so distracted with the music, she took the order wrong. Also the pasteles were old. The door to go to the cook, in the back very dirty. Really you go to have a relaxing time. You can even converse with tje person you with, too too loud.

Stopped in for a quick bite. They have made some nice upgrades including a full bar. The pernil was tender and combined with the garlic sauce it made it very flavorful. Black beans and white rice was nice compliment to the dish. The mixologist served up perfectly mixed Jack sours. My quick bite ended up having me in there for over an hour.

I randomly found this spot for lunch on a cold day. I chose the Sancocho and it tasted authentic. Place was nice and quiet since it just opened for the day. My server was very attentive.

Whenever I get stuck in the "boogie-down" by Yankee Stadium I always try to hit up this place for some good, quick Puerto Rican and Dominican food. I remember when this little hole-in-the-wall simply used to be called, Cuchifritos. I guess it changed owners and is now more Dominican. Whenever you come to the Bronx you know that you can always find decent latin food, however you don't want to go experimenting if you don't know any particular places. Your stomach just might pay the price. Here you can enjoy your food without the fear of the unexpected. I've learned that if you are trying to get your food to-go, getting quicker attention from the people that work the counter might take more than the Spanish you learned in high school. No worries. They will get to you eventually. The service is pretty timely. You can't go wrong with a good cuban sandwich but I normally go for the standard rice and beans with pernil asado. Mix that all together with platanos maduros and I have a meal that makes me a happy man. The food here is pretty authentic and the pernil here is the real deal. To some, having the crunchy skin or what Puerto Ricans call, "chicharron," thrown in there with the rest of the pork might gross them out a bit but that's the way it's supposed to be. That is what makes good pernil great. This is a great place for lunch. We've tried coming here for breakfast before but if you stray from eggs-over-easy and try to get a little daring, you might be regretting it a little later. I tried a typical Dominican specialty called "mangu" once......ONCE. Having breakfast rumblings from down below at 8am on a work day is not a good thing. Like I said, this spot is great for lunch. I wouldn't go taking a date here to impress because it's not exactly the area for romance. Interestingly enough, the nearby Grand Concourse thoroughfare that runs through the Bronx was modeled after the Champs-Élysées that runs through Paris. Before I walked into the establishment I saw two guys in their 50s get into a fistfight on the sidewalk. Thankfully, the area is near several courthouses and a precinct nearby so the fight was quickly quelled in a matter of seconds by police. While this area might be a far cry from Paris, you can safely eat some of the best latin american food you will find anywhere.

I don't think this place deserves such a low rating probably a half a star higher would be ok. First off I came after a Yankke game like most folks to their first time here, I had the chicharrón with rice and beans. Everything was good with the pork being on a little tougher than usual and since the place was being renovated seating was a bit limited. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town to see if they have improved.

Ate at the Molino Rojo 2 hour before a Yankee game. The place was packed. Line out the door for the entire meal. For good reason. The food was good and inexpensive to boot. Latin comfort food abounds. Our meal consisted of 2 beers, 1 pork chops, an order of plantains, an order of beef stew, side order of white rice and beans and an order of coconut juice all for $20. Will definitely be back.

Well, I had decided to go here for my birthday back in 2020 when The Pandemic had happened so, I ate outside, I never made it inside. When Covid happened a lot of changes because I had to scan the QR code on the back to get the menu because to limit contact between others. The service was spot on , they were attentive. Now the food and drinks I had was ice water. A Pina Colada I've never had, but was disappointed because they watered down, I didn't taste any alcohol. I just had cheeseburger and french fries , which I couldn't finished. I also a fish taco which I never had before and it was delicious and I knew that they used fresh grease because of how they looked. I would go back out here for two reasons to check out the inside and for those fish tacos.

The awning keeps you shaded from the sun while you enjoy the open air, which made for a really relaxed and enjoyable afternoon. Cold beer, great bar food, and a laid back vibe -- hard to beat. We're coming back for an MMA fight night and possibly Cinco de Mayo. This place has the right energy for both. Highly recommend checking out happy hour if you haven't already.

It's an interesting mix of classic American bar energy with a Peruvian twist, which makes the menu way more fun than your typical pub. Even though it was packed for the holiday, it never felt overwhelming. Lively, but still comfortable enough to actually enjoy your time. I lucked out and found Broken Skull by Steve Austin here--funny because I'd been searching for it everywhere and almost ordered it online. If you're into craft beer, definitely give it a try. Didn't go for Taco Tuesday this time ($25 unlimited tacos is tempting), but I spotted birria ramen on the menu, which already guarantees I'll be back. Food-wise, the mushroom burger was the star--perfectly cooked, juicy, and rich without being too heavy. And the fries? Crispy, golden, dangerously addictive (and I'm picky about fries). Service was warm and attentive despite the crowd. Overall, a fun, easygoing spot that somehow balances energy and comfort. Definitely coming back.
