I chose APM because it is a fully licensed, well-established family owned and operated business that has all five-star consumer ratings with Yelp and Google. Also, in researching potential companies I determined that APM's cost for their service was very reasonable. I dealt directly with the owner Brett Keller who was extremely accommodating with regard to setting up an appointment date for the test that would work for me. At the scheduled time and day (Friday) Brett met me at the property driving his work truck. It was in pristine condition and when Brett retrieved his equipment from the enclosed truck bed, I noticed that everything was clean, well-organized, and properly secured. Brett then sampled the suspect material and explained to me that the sample would be submitted to an independent lab for analysis, which was standard procedure done to ensure the integrity of the results. He said that because the lab wasn't operational over the weekend, I would not get the results of the analysis until approximately 4:00 p.m. the following Monday. Brett then unhurriedly detailed to me what the abatement process would entail should asbestos be present and I elected to have APM handle the work. The following Monday at approximately 1:00 p.m. I received from Brett an email containing a complete chain of custody document tracking the acquisition of the sample and its submission to the lab as well as the results of the analysis. Fortunately, the analysis was negative for the presence of asbestos. I was completely satisfied with APM's high-quality service and give it my strongest recommendation.

Thankfully Callin called me back right away, and said he could start work on my house in a few days. This was huge for me, because I had a tight deadline to meet to try and move into the new house. Imagine how happy I was to not only have Callin's team get the work done by the time I needed it to get done, but how great the work turned out to be, and the price was very reasonable. He and his team did such a good job, that I then enlisted them to take carpet out of the basement and put in Laminate flooring which also turned out great (and again, reasonable pricing). I would HIGHLY recommend Callin and their team, and I look forward to using their services again in the future.

Their store-room is beautiful and will make you want to re-do every part of your home! Matt and his team aren't just GOOD, they're GREAT. It's a passion. You can tell by Matt's consistency in genuinely wanting to do right by customers. They're Above and beyond -helpful, insightful, informative, caring, respectful, hardworking, really cares about the quality of his work. I'm glad true integrity in companies still exist. He will offer assistance from picking out the right flooring/color- answer any questions about concerns, as well as provide solutions-usually fixed by himself because he's so handy. The outcome was far beyond what I could have ever dreamed. Before seeing my home, and only hearing my needs via phone, Matt suggested 2 options. We picked one of his suggestions, again he hasn't seen my home yet/ IT IS PERFECT! Look at these results! Also- for someone with big OCD- shout out to the very hardworking young men on his team that worked tirelessly to ensure the flooring lined up perfectly straight- I don't know how, because some of my walls are wonky- but the flooring is laid perfectly. Omg they even fixed the squeaks that were driving my family nuts! This particular home project was my favorite thus far- stress free. No issues before, during, or after- just seamless. Why would you go to a place that doesn't actually care about YOU, or your home to install a floor? When you can have Floors4u do it and treat you like family. See the beauty- lighting changes depending on natural vs- artificial light- it pulls all the colors, browns creams, grays that surround my home. I am in love!

I had a fairly serious electrical problem that required the replacement of the disconnect at the electric meter. Price looked high to me at first, but in researching the issue, the $2,575 was on the lower side for such work. Still, I decided to get a few more quotes. What a mistake. Of the 12 electricians I contacted only 6 returned my call. Four didn't show up, one told me my entire system was shot and needed to be replaced, and one just played games. I contacted Jay on May 19. He fit me in his busy scheduled for May 20 and 21. It was about an 8 hour job over two days. The work is professional. My disconnect was an old "fuse type" that was badly rusted and a fire hazard. Some wires were hanging unnoticed and could have been an electrocution hazard. Jay handled the project with professionalism, knowledge, and found the right electrician to handle the job. I don't mind paying what is a fair price for an excellent job.

I ended up scheduling the installation just before Christmas, thanks to an unusually warm winter. The entire process was smooth and efficient: I chose the finish, got on the schedule (they were booked about a month out), and waited for installation day. On the day of the install, the team worked quickly and professionally. I was able to work from home without any disruption -- they were that unobtrusive. The only minor downside was the smell from the chemicals, which is expected with epoxy but worth noting. I worked next to the garage, and the smell was intense. Now, over seven months later, I couldn't be happier. The floors still look great, are easy to clean, and most importantly, they're not slippery at all. I would absolutely recommend Windy City Coating to family and friends.

Let me start by saying this - I don't make a habit of leaving reviews unless there's something…read moreextraordinarily good or bad about an experience. I've already used them 3 times, all positive experiences, which is what brought me here to confidently say that I'll be referring them to anyone else in the area as well. I first brought them into my home for what I saw as a relatively straightforward patch and paint after some water damage from a leaky roof. They gave me an estimate, which was lower than the other 2. I approved it and they came in the next day, identified the actual issue, removed the drywall, stopped the issue, put in another custom cut piece of drywall, sealed it up again with tape and paste, then sanded it down to make it look literally seamless with the rest of the ceiling. Anyone else would have charged at least double (based on other experiences I've had) but the communication was there from the beginning and I could tell that they weren't giving me the runaround. The transparency was surprising and greatly appreciated. That gave me the confidence to have them come back another time to replace some windows that had been cracked from rocks being kicked up from the alleyway over time, both paned glass as well as some square/cubes replaced. Bob, the owner, said he wasn't a glazer, but had a good contact that was also reasonably priced and knocked out that job in 1 day. After that, I gave him a call about some of the mason work that I was having done because at this point, I realized that Bob was trustworthy and transparent, and I felt like getting a 2nd opinion on what work had been done so far and what still needed to be done. I've even met someone else in the neighborhood who's house I visited and I was complimenting her new deck. Turns out that she had her deck rebuilt by JOB1 ! That's what brings me to this review, which I hope is enough detail to describe why JOB1 is so different than many other contractors these days. Bob and his crew are transparent, trustworthy, thorough, professional, and fair. That's a tough combination these days from what I've found, and for that, I HIGHLY recommend JOB1 for your home improvement needs, big or small !
