I cannot speak highly enough about the entire staff and crew at Disaster Solution/Illinois Restoration Services! Back in mid-January 2023, my dishwasher sprung a leak. The leak caused damage to my whole main floor and sent me and my family to a rental home for several months. Disaster Solution was recommended to me by my insurance company, USAA, and I am so happy I contacted them. They arrived quickly after I reported the damage and got straight to work on water mitigation. The first team to arrive was extremely friendly, empathetic and communicative. I had a full house - two toddlers, 3 dogs, a cat and I work from home (plus 20 or so plants that needed to be relocated). The lead of this crew was JB (Jeremy B). He was sensitive to all of this and incredibly patient as I worked to reorganize and rearrange my home. Once I got myself organized, him and the crew boxed up the rest of my belongings, wrapped my furniture and took it off to storage for me. After water mitigation was completed, I was contacted by my project manager, Mark. Mark - is - the - BEST. He was extremely thorough, provided ongoing updates and promptly returned calls (or just answered them immediately). I never experienced a delayed response or frustrating moment with Mark and his crew. They always arrived on time, usually had answers to my questions and, if they didn't, I'd hear back within 24 hours. All in all, my little disaster took 5 months to fix. The insurance sometimes dragged, the materials took some time to arrive, but I always knew that if I had a concern that I could simply call my estimator or project manager and they would walk me through the process or provide me with an estimated timeline. I'll never forget - the first time Mark was telling me what his email address was he joked and said "it's not @disaster-solution(S) with an (S), it's @distaster-solution.com because there's ONLY ONE SOLUTION". I still roll my eyes at this joke, but, he was absolutely correct... from start to finish, it felt like one solid, cohesive solution. I am forever grateful to this crew! (A special shout out to Dave who worked tirelessly to fix my home and had to listen to my toddlers screaming while doing so.) read more

I would highly recommend Illinois Restoration Services for any residential damage mitigation and restoration. We experienced significant water damage this winter to our second floor master bedroom which is above our garage. Illinois Restoration Services responded quickly to assess the full scope of the damage and put in place a plan of action to address all of the work needed to mitigate the wall and ceiling damage and to do the rebuilding and finishing needed. All of the work was performed very professionally, efficiently with excellent communication to us as the project progressed. The work crews were timely and the work was performed with great attention to the detail needed which left our room and garage as good as new. Also, it was very helpful that Jim Sharp and his Office Manager helped us navigate through any and all issues with our insurance claim. Thank you, job well done! read more

My basement recently flooded and my insurance company provided me the info. for Disaster Solution. I must say, I was and am so very impressed with the professionalism and attention I received, throughout the entire process. Even more impressive, the owner, Steve personally came to our home to inspect the damage and recommend the work that would be needed to get us back to "normal". As you can imagine, it was a very stressful time but Disaster Solution came in and took care of everything. Their Project Manager, Mark is professional, courteous, helpful and funny! Such a great experience all the way around and because of this, I felt compelled to write this review............which I'm not really a big "review" person. If you find yourself in a bad situation where you need some real "pros" to help you restore your home or business, I would highly recommend Disaster Solutions. read more

We used Illinois Restoration Services to finish our basement. Since we were starting from scratch we needed some design help, which they were able to give us. They worked on our timeline (we spread the project out over a year), the crew was great and cleaned up after themselves, and even more importantly, I trusted them in my home. The basement turned out better than we imagined. There were a few minor concerns along the way, which they fixed to our satisfaction immediately. The VP (Jeremy Lohrens) was on site checking in weekly, if not daily. We get numerous compliments on the finishes and we are thrilled with the end result. read more

We had a sewer backup on Thanksgiving weekend. Jim S. was at the house within an hour of my call and his crew arrived shortly thereafter. The mitigation work was done quickly and professionally. The IRS crew were hard working and polite, and did a fantastic job making our home comfortable and habitable while we waited for the insurance claims adjuster. Jim, Jeremy and Julie were a pleasure to work with while navigating the back and forth process of the insurance claim. Our family could not be happier with the attention to detail, concern and compassion from the entire IRS team during this time. read more

Excellent service throughout and finished result exceeded expectations. Two baths and kitchen were completely rebuilt - drywall replacement, flooring, cabinets, painting -- everything to make me whole again after a water disaster in an upstairs bathroom (middle of the night) necessitated the complete gutting of all the areas that got soaked. My insurer, USAA, recommended them, and after getting estimates from other companies, their pricing and professionalism put them way ahead. A pleasure to work with everyone involved. read more

Illinois Restoration Services provided amazing support for our roof issue. The insurance company was not supportive but IRS was there to step in and make things right! They helped us get everything lined up, a full new roof, internal repairs, and carpet cleaning after the work was done. The team at IRS was right by my side every step of the way and I appreciate all the time that they spent on our claim. It's good to know that there are still companies that put the customer first. read more

Jeremy and Illinois Restoration took our horrible situation and made it right. Thank heavens I called them when I first realized the disaster going on in my home. I was always kept in the loop and Jeremy made sure the insurance company did not take advantage of us. The quality of work was excellent. Some of my neighbors were not as lucky. Two of them needed Illinois Restoration to come in and complete sub par work of other companies. read more
