She took her time with me and was very helpful when it came to figuring out which size to go with as well as how the design should be positioned on my skin. She even suggested adding the green behind the letters which I'm glad I said yes to cause it turned out better than what I had originally thought of. The owl's eyes have incredible depth, and the delicate linework and shading throughout the face, feathers, leaves, and mandarins are beautiful. He even incorporated a meaningful date I requested at the last minute, which I love. The session lasted approximately seven hours, including much-appreciated breaks. Since it was my first tattoo, Simon regularly checked on how I was feeling and whether I was experiencing any pain. The lines are uneven, the thickness is inconsistent, and the geometric elements are crooked and poorly aligned. The shading is patchy and inconsistent, with areas that look unfinished and overworked. There are multiple OBVIOUS imperfections that should have been addressed before considering the tattoo finished. What made the experience even worse was the artist's attitude when I returned to discuss the possibility of a retouch. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. He also made insulting comments about the amount of tip I gave him. A tip is at the customer's discretion and should never be used as a reason to insult or disrespect a customer. I paid for a permanent piece of artwork and expected professionalism, attention to detail, and basic respect. Instead, I was left with a tattoo that I'm unhappy with, an uncomfortable experience, and the possibility of having to spend even more money with another artist to correct the work. I would not recommend getting a polynesian tattoo here, the reason I came back to this spot is because of Gary, he did me a solid for doing a tiny dragon behind my ear. And for the artist that said he could have charged me more, but instead gave me a discount, buddy..... look at your work! This does not cost $2,000. I would have been more happy to get turned down and I mean, come on, if this ain't your forte and can't do these types of design, then just say so! I could have gone somewhere else and find an artist that is actually specializing in Polynesian tattoo.
