A spot that my partner and I found after dinner and it was a solid spot for dessert. First impression is that they have a self ordering kiosk which is always a nice touch. Ordering up front is also a suitable option. Note that parking here is quite easy, huge lot and it's free which is nice. Decorations here are pretty nice, good for pictures. Seating is also adequate, 1 big table, outdoor seating, and some indoor seating as well. There's also a bench near the deco which is a nice area to wait for you drinks. Pretty spacious overall. Staff is pretty quick and friendly. Drinks are pretty tasty. I'd say, pretty standard to most boba places. One thing I would highlight are the quality cups. Love the style that most boba spots have adapted and Moge Tee is similar. Their menu is quite extensive but my partner and I decided on their mango pomelo sago and creme brulee milk tea. Drinks came out fairly quick and we were decently impressed. Seems like they use real cuts of the pomelo which added to the taste of the drink. Felt quite refreshing on a cooler night which was a nice touch. The creme brulee is decent quality as well, not too sweet and it was a good compliment to the pomelo sago. I first tried Moge Tee when I was visiting the East Coast. I did not realize they also had locations in CA, so was intrigued in checking out this San Diego location once I found out about it. My partner got the Mango Pomelo drink, which tasted pretty good and used fresh ingredients. It was perfect with half sugar. On the other hand, the Crème Brûlée Milk Tea drink I got was underwhelming. The creme brulee was too chunky, while the tea was too watered down. I would like to see more consistency with the drinks here. We came in two hours before closing and they were out of boba. I got the crème brûlée milk tea but it really had no flavor. I did get it 70% sugar, but when I tried the foam alone it tasted like cheese? Overall, I would try something else. The crème brûlée milk tea just tasted like plain milk tea for me (Mind you I usually get drinks 25% sweet and still taste the flavor). They do have a wide variety of fresh fruit smoothies. Honestly, to me, this place doesn't look too appealing. But I was in the area so I decided to give it a try. They have a pretty good menu with a few bites as well. The worker was so nice and she explained to me all of the different teas and which had the most caffeine to the lowest. So that was really nice to hear. She also gave me samples of some and even the toppings. I was actually really happy to see that they had mochi as a topping. My mom had the green tea milk tea with Boba 50% sweet. That was very good. I got an along type of tea with the mochi 50% as well. They were both really good, I could taste the tea, which is what I like when I drink them. Yay for another tea boba place! Was craving that Thai tea and luckily came up in my Yelp search and they are located in Mission Valley! Hidden in the Friars Mission center shopping center, they are a short walk from Ralph's and across the driveway from Subway. I looked at their menu in the Yelp pics, but didn't see Thai tea in their menu. I took a chance and still visited Moge. Luckily they do have Thai tea available it's just not listed on the menu. They have vegan-friendly options but no non-dairy substitutes which would be a game changer. The sweetness is also adjustable. I don't like mine too sweet so I opted for 30% sweetness which was perfect. The fruit teas are my favorite. Tastes refreshing and with real fruit chunks. Great to have on a hot day! I ordered the yogurt mango tea slush and it had a strong yogurt/ tart flavor. I personally enjoyed it but if you don't enjoy strong tart flavors, I would not recommend this drink. I also couldn't really taste the mango flavor. I would recommend 50% sweetness because the drink still felt pretty sweet to me at 50%. The slush texture was more watered down than icy. The pandan bubble waffles are light and delectable too. One thing to improve is lid quality--the latch open option often falls apart, and dont try stabbing your boba straw into the alternative entry because you will likely break the whole lid. The boba was alright just super chewy, but definitely not enough of a portion for the cup size. The macaron tasted a bit old like it has been in that freezer for a while, which it could had been as it was the only flavor left out of the 5 - the matcha does not taste like anything let alone matcha and the macaron part tastes a bit hard / stale. I've see the tea shop on the number of times I'd been in the plaza to grocery shop but never had the chance to come in. It was pretty late at night so it was a calm setting, the cashier was friendly and greeted us and answered my question on the sweetness of their matcha. I ended up ordering the iced uji matcha with cheese foam, I don't remember having to choose my sweetness but I could choose the amount of ice. Bryan on the other hand got a Thai tea with oreo mixed in, weirdo, he chose his level of sweetness and ice. I really really liked my matcha, it was so tasty and not at all sweet, I wished I mixed the cheese foam in but I left it to the end like a little treat. I hadn't seen this place in the plaza before. I would've preferred ordering from someone behind the counter, but doing it through a screen was a new experience for me. I ordered a super fruit green tea with golden boba and lychee jelly. I took 30% sugar level because I wanted to reduce my overall sugar intake. That seems to have been a mistake since the lemons and lime slices made the drink incredibly sour/tart. Plus, the ratio of boba jelly to liquid is way off. What's different about this place is there are 2 ordering systems that show their drinks and you order and pay thru the system which gives you a number. I personally like when someone can talk with me and tell me about the drinks. They do have many types of drinks and a few desserts. There is a girl there but she's pretty quiet just waits for the order and makes it. Price is pretty normal about 6-7.00. The cup does have a lid with a top that you can close it without the straw. The place is clean nothing stands out. I purchased super fruit black tea with golden boba that you pay extra. It was good just seemed more sugar flavor juice than black tea but still good. Place was cute inside, you can order drinks on the touchscreen monitors. Mango Mochi: I do not remember the description, but this one was also tasty but not as good as the Mango Pomelo. I do think this has a little bit of the cheese foam, but it needed more.
