Super Fruit Green Tea, Cheese Foam Black Grape Tea
    Madison W.

The drinks were so yummy and refreshing! I got the Super Fruit Green Tea (orange, lime, lemon, watermelon, and passion fruit) and my bf got the Cheese Foam Black Grape Tea Slush. The fruit tea was perfect for such a hot day and just what I needed! There is plenty of parking outside. When you go in, you just order on a tablet and the drinks come out really fast! It's pretty clean and there's tables and chairs to sit at.

    EMPTY OG MILK TEA

Honestly impressed!! My hubby and I had the cravings!! So we did what we needed to do. We ordered the OG milk tea with golden boba and matcha milk tea. I ordered 70% sweetness which was sweet enough. And I was also surprised by how much boba was in the tea. They knew I was coming or they knew the doordasher was coming to deliver the order for me. Obviously I didn't go in but maybe next time!! We live pretty close! SO GOOD WHAT !

Their reward system need revised. I am a regular here and accumulated up to 53 points in Snackpass. For every 10, you get a "free fruit tea" - I've gone several times and they've let me choose something else besides a fruit tea. 53 points means that I've spent upwards of $100+ dollars here. If the fruit tea is the same price as a milk tea, why shouldn't I be able to exchange for a milk tea? I explained that I've been able to change it before and this time, they were like "well this is the rules." The reward system needs changed.

    Two great drinks

I ordered the avocado with pomelo with aloe Vera which I will not do again. It was pretty good! I will go back to try a less creamier drink. Service was quick and the place was very clean. I really like the covers to their drinks.

Creme Brulee Milk Tea (L) and Mango Pomelo (R)

I first tried Moge Tee when I was visiting the East Coast. I did not realize they also had locations in CA, so was intrigued in checking out this San Diego location once I found out about it. My partner got the Mango Pomelo drink, which tasted pretty good and used fresh ingredients. It was perfect with half sugar. On the other hand, the Crème Brûlée Milk Tea drink I got was underwhelming. The creme brulee was too chunky, while the tea was too watered down. I would like to see more consistency with the drinks here. Although it is a small store, there are a few small tables inside and a couple more outside. There is also a convenient self-ordering kiosk and a large parking lot, which are nice to have.

A spot that my partner and I found after dinner and it was a solid spot for dessert. First impression is that they have a self ordering kiosk which is always a nice touch. Ordering up front is also a suitable option. Note that parking here is quite easy, huge lot and it's free which is nice. Decorations here are pretty nice, good for pictures. Seating is also adequate, 1 big table, outdoor seating, and some indoor seating as well. There's also a bench near the deco which is a nice area to wait for you drinks. Pretty spacious overall. Staff is pretty quick and friendly. Drinks are pretty tasty. I'd say, pretty standard to most boba places. One thing I would highlight are the quality cups. Love the style that most boba spots have adapted and Moge Tee is similar. Their menu is quite extensive but my partner and I decided on their mango pomelo sago and creme brulee milk tea. Drinks came out fairly quick and we were decently impressed. Seems like they use real cuts of the pomelo which added to the taste of the drink. Felt quite refreshing on a cooler night which was a nice touch. The creme brulee is decent quality as well, not too sweet and it was a good compliment to the pomelo sago. Overall, a decent boba shop, very interested in returning to try their other drink options. A solid spot that I'll be returning in the future.

Super Fruit Four Seasons Oolong Tea

I love me a nice, refreshing iced tea on a warm day and Moge Tee hit the spot for me. I ordered an iced four seasons fruit oolong tea with aloe vera and it was super tasty! I really like that they added fresh fruit and the aloe vera bits were tasty. The only downside is that even at 30% sweetness, it was still a bit sweet. I'd definitely come back to try more of their drinks.

"TAKE A SIP, MAKE A WISH" (3.8 stars) ... I wish my boba had better boba pearls - BOBA: good - PRICE: average - SERVICE: quick - AMBIANCE: small, nothing special MANGO POMELO ($7.95) - I love both flavors separately, why not try them together. This was good, a layer of Pomelo, a foamy whip that has a slight cheesy taste, and then a layer of mango. I ordered it with golden boba and yah idk why I order golden boba (never liked it before, won't change now). The texture of them is a little crunchier. This was overall a mix of subtle refreshing and sweet. RECOMMEND They have a lot of offering on their menu but many are caffeinated. Would love to come back and try another to boost up the rating. Until next review....

We came in two hours before closing and they were out of boba. I got the crème brûlée milk tea but it really had no flavor. I did get it 70% sugar, but when I tried the foam alone it tasted like cheese? Overall, I would try something else. The crème brûlée milk tea just tasted like plain milk tea for me (Mind you I usually get drinks 25% sweet and still taste the flavor). They do have a wide variety of fresh fruit smoothies. The fresh fruit are in cups ready to be blended. Next time I stop by I will be trying one of those!

Large Thai tea - 30% sweetness, 100% ice

Yay for another tea boba place! Was craving that Thai tea and luckily came up in my Yelp search and they are located in Mission Valley! Hidden in the Friars Mission center shopping center, they are a short walk from Ralph's and across the driveway from Subway. I looked at their menu in the Yelp pics, but didn't see Thai tea in their menu. I took a chance and still visited Moge. Luckily they do have Thai tea available it's just not listed on the menu. When I inquired, they said they have lots of drinks that are not listed on the menu. Well, that kinda sucks... how are you supposed to know what you can order?!? They have three different sizes, medium, large and plus...which is huge! Kiosk ordering available. It was not packed each time I visited which is nice, so I don't have to wait long for my drink. They use a simple syrup as their sweetener so it can be adjusted. I ordered my tea with 30% sweetness which was perfect. Not overly sweet and strong a Thai tea taste. Worker bees in the back making tea orders as they come in. My order was made quickly, I didn't have to wait long at all. Shop is super clean and open. 2025: 47

    Pandan waffle

It was my second time here and the drinks are okay. We came here to wait for a friend, but she ended up flaking LOL. My friend ordered a mango pomelo slush and we shared a pandan waffle. I forgot the name of my drink, but it was pretty! The waffle had more coconut than I like, but overall it was pretty good.

    Yogurt Mango Tea Slush
    Sharon H.

I ordered the yogurt mango tea slush and it had a strong yogurt/ tart flavor. I personally enjoyed it but if you don't enjoy strong tart flavors, I would not recommend this drink. I also couldn't really taste the mango flavor. I would recommend 50% sweetness because the drink still felt pretty sweet to me at 50%. The slush texture was more watered down than icy. It's similar to HeyTea's mango coconut boom texture but it's not as silky. Service was fine/ ambiance was chill. No complaints at all!

i got the honeydew slush and it was the worst boba ive gotten in so long: it was like boba in water. threw it away. they dont have wifi for customers either. bathroom doesnt work either... skip

Luckily, after driving around for a few minutes, I was able to find free parking not too far away, so it ended up working out pretty well. I stopped by here with a friend because we were craving something sweet after dinner, and honestly this place was such a cute little find. The lady working was incredibly sweet and welcoming from the moment we walked in, which made the experience even better. They had a really good variety of yogurt flavors and toppings to choose from, and everything looked fresh and well stocked. I ended up trying a couple different flavors with fruit and candy toppings, and everything tasted super yummy. The yogurt itself was really creamy and flavorful without being overly sweet, which I liked a lot. The shop was clean, organized, and had a really relaxed atmosphere overall. Even though it was fairly busy when we came in, it still felt comfortable and the service stayed friendly the whole time. See pic of my 32oz Hydro Flask (she did top it off after explaining that she knew the cups weren't a full 32 ounces -of course I had to question the size first). When I asked about it, the owner seemed to know that their cups are smaller than the advertised amount but because, according to her, that's how it was marketed to them by the supplier, they didn't change it. Again, this is problematic to me. If you know the supplier is short changing you, and my guess is because you went with the cheapest cup (which may also mean inferior plastic for unwitting consumers), why in the world wouldn't you remeasure and advertise it correctly??!!! You've lost my trust in exchange for a quick buck. I'd prefer honesty. 3) Worst offense... within 30 minutes of drinking, I started feeling unwell and getting bloated. Clearly indicates to me that they either didn't disclose some mysterious ingredient or there was a problem with their sanitation somewhere -unfortunately I didn't watch her make it. Prior to this happening and me now stuck on the couch in pain, I was going to give them an extra star for quick service. It's a little shop in a small strip mall, clean enough in the table areas but unsure about the back. I didn't check reviews before walking in because somebody nearby had recommended it to me -a stranger, and I figured how bad can a boba shop be, obviously MY mistake. Gotta check YELP before I go anywhere. Had I read previous reviews, especially the one star recently about using chemicals in the same sink they make drinks from with TAP water, I would have never entered. On top of this, the taste was one of the worst milk teas I've ever had. Tasted like milk powder than real milk. AVOID!!

The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Parking was another pleasant surprise. I originally drove past thinking I'd have to search for street parking, but they actually have a shared lot. It made stopping in a lot easier than I expected. I ordered the On Cloud 9, which is a jasmine green milk tea with cheese foam and brown sugar boba. The drink itself was enjoyable. The jasmine wasn't overpowering, which let the cheese foam stand out without completely taking over the drink. I also liked that the sweetness of the brown sugar boba balanced the slight saltiness from the foam. Flavor-wise, I'd say it held its own against other boba shops in San Diego. The only thing that held it back was the boba. It had almost no chew left. Instead of adding texture, it kind of disappeared after one bite because it was so soft. Boba is one of those toppings that can completely change a drink. Even with that, I'd still come back. The menu has way too many interesting drinks to judge the shop off one order. If the boba had been fresher, this easily could've been one of those drinks I'd order again. I think next time I'd branch out and try something from their Limited Series instead.

From the very beginning, I was blown away by the level of care and attention I received. The owner, Le, personally answered my call and guided me through the menu with a level of detail and warmth that immediately put me at ease. I have specific safety needs and allergies, and she handled everything with such grace and professionalism. She was clear, direct, and supported me through every action of the process without ever overwhelming me. What I deeply appreciated out most was how naturally she accommodated my needs. There wasn't a moment where I felt like an inconvenience. Instead, I felt genuinely cared for. Le's passion for her craft is unmistakable. She shared how she has studied flavors extensively, traveling to Vietnam and Taiwan to deepen her understanding of traditional techniques and flavor profiles. That dedication shines through in every sip. She explained how she carefully develops her own recipes, blending cultural influences with precision and creativity. Even the boba itself is made fresh every morning, which makes a huge difference. I can taste the quality, texture, and freshness immediately. I started with the taro milk tea (with almond milk due to my allergies), and it was absolutely phenomenal. The drink was luxuriously creamy with a silky, smooth texture that coated the palate in the most satisfying way. The taro flavor was rich and earthy with a subtle nuttiness, balanced by a gentle sweetness that never became overpowering. Just when it seemed like it might lean too sweet, the creaminess would round everything out perfectly, creating a beautifully harmonious flavor profile. Adding the boba elevated the experience even more. The pearls were soft yet chewy, with just the right amount of bounce, and carried a delicate sweetness that complemented the drink rather than competing with it. It was, without question, the best taro milk tea I've ever had. Next, I tried the "Over the Rainbow," and it was just as impressive in a completely different way. This drink was bright, vibrant, and incredibly refreshing. The tartness of the lemonade provided a crisp, zesty backbone, while the popping boba added bursts of sweetness that danced across the tongue. Each sip was layered and dynamic, cool, tangy, sweet, and slightly effervescent in feeling. Visually, it was stunning as well, with beautiful, shifting colors that made the experience feel almost magical. It was as much a feast for the eyes as it was for the taste buds. Both drinks were so good that I drank them down almost immediately! I didn't even think to take a photo! I even found myself savoring the melted ice afterward just to enjoy every last trace of flavor, which shares a lot about the quality and balance of the drinks. To top it all off, Analise, who helped me at checkout, was equally kind and accommodating. She continued the same level of care and attentiveness, making sure my safety needs were respected and that I felt comfortable throughout the entire experience. Boba Monkey has truly set a new standard for me. Between the exceptional quality of the drinks, the depth of flavor, the cultural authenticity, and the genuine kindness of the staff, this place is in a league of its own. If I could give them a billion stars, I absolutely would. Best drinks, best boba, and one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.

Compared to the name of the spot, the interior felt like it belonged to a night time sushi spot. I'm not sure if they are allowed to repaint the interior, but changing the black/dark blue walls to something more bright would open up the space a little more-- it is a small place, but felt even smaller with the design choice. The menu was organized, but it seems like they were out of a few items in the morning as they didn't have mini pearls--only regular. And for some reason, you couldn't change the sweetness level on the drink...or maybe it just related to the drink I chose? Not sure, it was my first time there. The worker was nice & patient. Although for not having many people in the shop, I hope they could take the time to perfect their boba. It was VERY clumpy and not good-- texturally and taste wise. It didn't have that rich brown sugar taste and it was very gooey and chewy (not in a good way). They did give a good amount of boba, but I feel most people would toss it out because of the bad quality. Which would be a waste of money. To drink, I chose the Hokkaido Milk Tea with Pearls. I wanted to do 50 or 75% sweet but I guess since this is a caramel noted milk tea, it isn't possible. I think the tea was ok. I would order something else next time. My friend had the Okinawa Milk Tea with Pearls, I'm unsure if they asked for a certain sweetness level or not. They said the tea was good, but the pearls weren't good. Something to note, I charged the drinks on my card and rather than saying Sayaka Tea, it said Sharetea...interesting. I wonder if they rebranded themselves or ?? Each drinks were around ~$7-8 ish! I'll give them another try, I hope the boba will be better the next time around and I'll be allowed to change the sweetness. If not, I'll be heading a little further down the street as this tea spot may not be for me!

In fact, we came back twice. It actually would've been three times if our first visit had worked out. We arrived before the posted closing time, but the employee told us they were already closed. Maybe the hours listed were incorrect, but it was a little confusing. Other than that small hiccup, we had a great experience. The drinks were consistently good, the location was convenient, and we'll definitely stop by again the next time we're in San Diego.

It's a good place to sit and talk. It was $16.17 for both drinks. Strawberry Yakult (3.5/5) - I got this with less ice and 75% sweetness. It had a tangy, slightly sour flavor because of the Yakult. The strawberry flavor isn't very strong. Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie (4.5/5) - I liked this one a lot more! The yogurt flavor wasn't too strong, and the strawberry flavor was nice. I liked how there was strawberry purée on the sides of the cup. I got crystal boba in both drinks. It was nice and chewy. I'd recommend this place.
