Beef brisket burrito was amazing! I love picking what I want in my burrito. I like they give you free chips and so many salsa and dipping sauce options. Everything is so fresh and the ladies are always so helpful and nice. Conveniently located and lots of space to eat in. read more

Moe's Southwest Grill - Beef brisket - Tex-Mex Near Me - Hackettstown, New Jersey

For our first time ever trying Moe's I must say I should have checked the reviews first. The one individual working asked if we were picking up I said "no" and instantly got an attitude lol I was ruining her day. The food is really expensive for the portion size you get and it's not great at all. I ordered a burrito with ground beef and instantly regretted it once I saw the scoop of what looked like sloppy Joe in a can go onto the tortilla. My wife got a bowl with chicken which tasted old and dry. The place I will say seemed pretty clean but overall we're definitely not retrying this location. read more

Place sucks, over priced and often dirty. Most times I visited tables weren't clean. Also self serve salsa is always dirty

This is a pretty solid Moe's Southwest Grill they got over here in Hackettstown. I used to think Moe's was the owner's name or something but it turns out that it's an acronym for Musicians Outlaws and Entertainers which makes me like this place even more. Plus that explains the concept menu which includes plenty of buzz words taken from famous pop culture driven situations.   My all time favorite menu item that this place offers has got to be the "Homewrecker" Burrito which gets it's name from an episode of Seinfeld. It's probably the biggest dang Burrito you can Shake Hands with from any of these chain type places.    Last time I was here I ordered the Chicken version of the "Homewrecker" Burrito and it definitely did not disappoint. It was full of Diced Chicken, Seasoned Rice, Black Beans, Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes, Jalapeños, Cilantro, Sour Cream, and Guacamole. I mean it doesn't get any better than that does it?   But wait there's even MORE Moe's with their Free Chips and Salsa Bar. Now it doesn't get any better than that!! Come And Get Your Moe's Munch On!! read more

See all

save your money , this was seriously the worst meal i've ever had. We got the burritos the chicken was disgusting , the place was so dirty, the chips tasted so old. We will never be back. read more

Awful service here I walked in at 8:40pm and they wouldn't serve me online it says they close at 9pm this isn't the first time this has happened either. read more

This Moe's restaurant is pure trash. Dining in at this Moe's location is like trying to get excited to shop at Sears or Kmart in 2018- sad, and full of lament where you ask yourself "Why in the heck did I even walk through this venue's doors?" I absolutely hate witnessing a franchise make the brand seem as if it is dying. That was my overall impression of Moe's Southwest Grill of Hackettstown, NJ. First off, there was no "Welcome to Moe's" greeting at 7PM on a Thursday night. The employees (half of them teenagers) seemed as if they wanted to be somewhere else. No energy whatsoever. The employees that should've been bussing tables were sitting down behind the counter talking about what they wanted to do on their second job. Yeah, really. The food quality of a Homewrecker burrito wasn't bad, yet anything tastes good when you load it up with guacamole, pico de galo, and onions. The chicken was a tad dry tonight, but whatever. The restaurant was absolutely filthy. There were so many tables that had garbage underneath it, on top of chairs, and remains of hot sauce on top of the eating space. The nonchalance of the employees that weren't motivated to buss these tables was just unbelievable. Unsanitary, and disgusting. I honestly can't believe that I turned down the chance to eat the very "fine cuisine" from Taco Bell down the street in comparison to eating in a restaurant pig pen like Moe's. At least Taco Bell is cleaner on the inside. Funeral taps for this Moe's Southwest Grill location will be played at 8:00 PM. RIP to brand standards, as well as to my stomach for the diarrhea that is sure to arrive soon. read more

Moe's Southwest Grill - pay 40 for 2 burritos and they give you 10 chips, cheap ass indians - Tex-Mex Near Me - Hackettstown, New Jersey

The portions are terrible here. The employees make it seem like you're interrupting their personal time when you step in the door. I've really enjoyed the Moe's in paramus, NJ so I wish this one was half decent. Their hours are very odd also. 7pm on a Friday & they'll be closed. read more

Just ordered take out for me and my 3 sons. Spent more than $70 for half empty containers. I won't be ordering from Moe's again.

For the love of god don't go here. The cheapest thing you can get is $13 and I was given the lowest amount of protein I have ever been given and I spend loads on chipotle usually. Chipotle in Chester gives better portions for $9. read more

The homewrecker jr is a smaller burrito than the standard that comes with guacamole. The homewrecker costs 10.99. The jr. Burrito costs 8.99. The cashier wanted to charge me 11.16 for a JR burrito, she said the guacamole costs extra. That is a lie, the guac comes with the burrito. They do not know their own menu. The other attendant said sorry i changed the price in the computer but not on the sign. He has no intention of changing the sign since they both are sitting on their phones doing nothing now. That kind of business practice is illegal. Do not buy from this restaurant. read more

Moe's Southwest Grill - Lies are whats in this photo - Tex-Mex Near Me - Hackettstown, New Jersey

The portion control is crazy you're not getting your moneys worth its nowhere near the quality it was when it first opened I honestly think it has something to do with the fact that there doesn't seem to be workers anymore it looks like the owners are running it and you gotta spend money to make money cheeping out is only going to ruin the experience read more

Extremely friendly and giving folk work here. The restaurant is never that busy and seems sort staffed as it is the same people I see every time. They have given my son a free cookie and juice a few times when going there and have been very accommodating to some of our orders. I've seen them closed on days they should be open, but I attribute that to the sort staff and lack of customers. The food is consistent and on par with what you'd expect from a Moe's. read more

Place is filthy and disgusting.. every table was filthy, floor filthy and counter tops filthy Air conditioning not on in the middle of July Beverage dispenser serving flat soda Ice was in a container in the open air. Place should be shut down read more

Kids coming no wearing masks coughing and sneezing in front the people who prepare the food.

Staff always friendly but just can't get over how bad they are with their meat portions. It's so bad!! Worst I've ever seen honestly. I would avoid this place and go elsewhere that actually gives you the right amount of protein. read more

So good! And they made me a massive salad without the tortilla shell and it was great. The avocado was perfect, the salsa spiced proper, and the meat was actually meaty! I'll go back frequently. It's the best $10 salad you can find and huge. read more

They delivered s catering order for my daughter's bridal shower this weekend. Staff was polite & professional. Food was fresh, hot and plentiful. I would definitely use them again. read more

The food was bland and messed with my belly all night. Everything was dry, the pinto beans were undercooked, and mostly everything looked like it had been there for a long time. I went in around 12:30 yesterday, Monday. The trays for the food smelled like wet nasty dog and the place just looked so dirty. I didn't even finish my food it was so gross. I have eaten at this Moe's before several months ago and it was not so bad but jeez I regret going yesterday. I will not be going back at all for fear that I will get food poisoning. Also the guy at the register, I think he was the manager or owner, kept my change. Ignored me when I tried to say something about it. It was only 19¢ but I just find that completely unprofessional. I usually leave my change in the tip jar at any establishment but he just didn't gaf. There are definitely better authentic Mexican restaurants in town. read more

Good food and well made yummy quesadillas. Customer service isn't always their specialty, but the food and location is ideal for a treat of ordering to go and takeout as a nice option. They offer free chips and a little salsa bar which is nice. The john costocan quesadilla is my go too. Very delicious. read more

Quesadilla was decent sized. The amount of chips was a little lacking and the restaurant was on the warm side but otherwise the food was hot fresh and good. They did not do the standard welcome to moe's that you get at most moe's restaurants read more

I ordered the steak quesadilla and it was horrible. The steak tasted absolutely rancid and fake. Do not come here or order from this place. They serve you old disgusting food. Also it was 11 dollars to add the steak and you definitely don't get your money worth from this. read more

This location has only been open for months and its filthy. Booth seats are broken when you sit down they come up from the back. The area where the food is displayed looks like it hasnt been cleaned in a week. Food was room temp. not warm. Rice looks like its been sitting there for days. Service was horrible. Workers at the counter had no personality and not friendly. I tried the chicken bowl. $10 . Same price i would pay at Chipotle and it is a 1/4 of the food. Hope I dont get sick after eating here. read more

About a year or so ago , Moe's stopped allowing you to order your food and pay for it in the restaurant If you wished to take advantage of Moe's Monday discount Now you have to place your order and pay on line. when I used this new method, they would never honor their Moe's Monday discount. Recently they have been sending emails with $3 off orders of $10 or more. When I have tried to use this discount, I have been told there's an error and I have no discount. I have contacted the company there times and have been told basically "Sorry." If you don't mind dealing with a company that totally lacks integrity, then this is the restaurant for you read more

If I could give this Moe's no stars, I would. This is without a doubt the worst Moe's on the planet. The problem is I love Moe's. So I keep giving this location another try, and it always disappoints me. A normal Moe's burrito will fill me up so much that I can barely eat the whole thing. This locations burritos are so small if you don't get extra meat, that I could definitely eat 2. Everything you ask for is also going to be extra. There is a billboard on 46 in great Meadows advertising "burrito Monday " FOR THIS LOCATION, AND THEY DON'T DO BURRITO MONDAY!!!!!!! I also agree w previous comments, if you go in there for dinner the meat always looks old and dried out. That would most definitely be because it has been out all day. So gross. This location is a huge embarrassment to the chain. read more

I go in all the time and they are very nice and friendly! They almost always remember my order and they got to know me and make me feel welcome! read more

Newly opened. Very clean. Very friendly service. It's smaller - so for lunch it might get crowded. We had the nachos and the burrito bowl. The burrito bowl was excellent with jalapeño honey chicken and guacamole. They also had great unsweetened iced tea! read more

Wow.... I just called them to let them know that I got sick after eating there yesterday. I think it was either bad queso or bad steak. Spoke to the manager and his response was "OK". If you were going to be in business have a heart. Learn to talk to your customers. Or don't be in business. read more

Every single time I come here I hope they finally get it right and yet, every single time, they fail miserably. The meat is almost always dry and they give you the tiniest serving, as if they only cooked one batch for the whole day and have to ration it out. Service is sub par at best. You'll find no smiles and no greetings here. The least your staff could do is know what ingredients come with the standard bowl, burrito or taco on your menu; Not stand there and ask what I want while hastily throwing in the wrong ingredients (cause you were in a rush and not listening) and hope I add extras so you can up-charge me on already overpriced food. As if that wasn't bad enough, all I got were blank stares when I asked for the lime wedges that were supposed to be included with my meal. To which the Manager shuffles over and aggressively points at what were clearly lemon wedges by the salsas. "Oh, We don't have those here." was his response when I had to reiterate "LIMES not LEMONS"... (Apparently management has no idea the difference between a lemon and a lime...) In all seriousness, save your money and go to Taco Bell across the street or go to literally any other Moe's if you must. Two thumbs way tf down. read more

Not my favorite Moe's location, but we've never had any issues with quality, quantity, etc. Always just what I expect food-wise. They don't participate in deals much and it's one of the less-friendly locations but nothing deal-breaking I guess. read more

Wish the food was as good as the cute names for the food. Only the chips and salsa bar was good. Chicken is bland, sauce on one of the bowls was terrible, and the toppings (other than beans and rice) were sparing. Oh... and under my table was filthy. Won't come back here. read more

I've never actually eaten in the store, I've only taken food to go, but it's always been pretty good! I do feel like the quality was a little better when the store first opened than it was recently. read more

Did not use gloves to give me my food. Without telling my friend and I, they gave us the wrong order then snatched it off our table while we were getting our drinks. The rice is stale. The pulled pork is over seasoned. They have an underage child working the counter. The manager or owner legit farted while walking past us and the nasty lady looked like she was going to kill me. read more

Decided to give Moe's a second chance and walked out regretting it, the quality of food just isn't there and the cost for a single burrito, filled mostly with rice, some chips and a drink was almost $13.00. For half that price you can get better quality food at Burger King or Wendy's. Don't waste you money or spoil your system eating this crap! read more

I gave in to my kids and said we will give it another try. Bad mistake. A worker and manager (owner?) were outside smoking as we walked into the restaurant. There were two other workers inside. The other workers took our order and started to make our food. Other customers came in so the guys taking their smoke break came inside to help out. They reeked of smoke. They didn't wash their hands at all. One put on gloves to start making food then would hand the food to the other guy to bag it. It was gross. If you must smoke don't do it in front of your store so I have to smell it to walk inside and wash your hands after you take your break. I hope you wash after your bathroom break. read more

Very disappointed in the quality and the service there. I thought they're trying to compete with Chipotle. I probably could have got a better burrito at a flea market. Overload you with rice and beans with only two and three pieces of meat. I watched one server whip her nose with her gloves on then with her same hand grab the shredded cheese and sprinkled it on someone's burrito. That was it for me. I won't be back. Dis...Gus ...Sting!! read more

I have to agree with the other reviewers. I actually really do enjoy Moe's. They have another location in Flemington and Branchburg that are great. I have no idea what went wrong with this one. Hopefully the management reads these reviews and gets the picture that it's not Moe's that's bad, it's this location. read more

This was my first time trying this restaurant, never had Moe's before. The food was disgusting. It looks like it's been sitting there all day and the place was very dirty. The person barely gave me any meat in my bowl so I ate a lot of rice and cheese basically. My stomach started hurting soon after. Never again read more

Second time I ordered online from Moe's and they messed up my order. Sucks because I really enjoy it and have to now physically go in to monitor what they're putting into my stack/burrito. Though that reading an online sheet would be easier but clearly it's not. Probably will never order online again. read more
