First time here and overall, I had a great experience! The customer service was excellent, and the staff especially our waiter was very friendly and personable. Everyone was welcoming, and the lakeside dining made for a beautiful atmosphere. The food was just okay. I had the chicken tacos, but they were pretty bland and could have used more seasoning, especially the black beans. The highlight for me was definitely the line dancing! My girlfriends and I had such a blast. I'd come back for the atmosphere and dancing! read more

10/10 recommend From the views - to the hospitality, our experience at Lola's was fab! Came here because we're in the area. They have a large but awkward parking lot so valet is required - no charge, just of course to tip. We arrived on a Sunday around noon and IT WAS BUSY. The host was trying to seat guests and their two phones were ringing off the hook, but they did a good job managing the physical guests waiting And the calls. When we arrived, they ran out of outdoor seating but accommodated my husband and I at a four top table on the outside deck and even brought over an umbrella without us needing to ask. We ordered drinks, the empanaditas and the guac and chicharron. Everything was super delicious! We will definitely be back! Thank you, Lola's, for a wonderful experience - lunch with a STUNNING view! read more

Pure chaos. Bad food. Sure, we were a large party (12 people) but out of 12 dishes, they completely forgot 3 of them (despite the waiters having electronic ordering devices). So we reminded them, waited another half hour, and only 2 dishes were brought. Of the dishes that arrived, the food was mostly just ordinary tex-mex mess. Some steak dishes had tiny minced pieces of steak that seemed...old....and some had large fresh juicy pieces. It's awkward to be sitting next to someone, and you both have steak fajitas, and theirs is terrible. Margarita tower drink was way too sweet - bad proportions, way too much orange liquer, made them taste like hurricanes or fruit punch. Really a garbage experience, all around. read more

We had reservations but still had to wait for a table. Luckily we were seated outside since that view throws you right into vacation mode. The server took forever for each step of the process. Taking our order, getting drinks, getting table side chips, water refills, etc. Being that we had little kids who were hungry didnt make it any faster. They got the kids meals. They hated the chicken nuggets and were not fans of the cheese quesidilla either. They forgot to bring ketchup for the fries and also had to be reminded two times for side dipping sauces. I ordered the chicken burrito bowl since i didnt see that on the menu. Just a heads up, they still make it even if its not on the restaurant menu. It was a large portion size but tasteless. Like I honestly wanted to leave and get me some chipotle. Luckily we got some hot sauce on the side that made this plate less dry and bland. The other guests also felt like the food needed some pizazz. The drinks are pretty good as were the views of the lake. But go there for that only since the food needs some help. read more

Great vibes overlooking Lake Hopatcong! We love sitting on the upstairs deck outside. Lots of TVs inside if you're looking to watch sports. The food is decent but not the best Mexican I've had. Same for the drinks. Last time we went I got the bang bang shrimp tacos, good flavor wish they were a little crispier. Also the site of beans contain very little beans and mostly just liquid. Our waitress was friendly. Parking is valet only. read more

Very nice views of Lake Hopatcong, especially if you are sitting on the outside deck. Our server was appropriately attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Finally, the food was good...better than I expected it would be. The vegetable quesadilla was loaded with crunchy vegetables and tasty cheese and my steak fajita dish had adequate meat, peppers and avacado. read more

We stopped by for dinner a few days ago. Couldn't find the place as Google was confused with Lake side ave n lakeside rd. But we eventually found restaurant. Was a rainy day. Am sure it must be nice in the summer as it's on the lake. Nice restaurant friendly staff. Valet parking. Driveway is v steep. We had the Cesar salad n queso fundido de birria. Cesar salad was v tasty n a big portion for 2 to share. Loved the queso fundido de birria. Tasted really good. Had the king pargo Frito which was fried red snapper n was so delicious n crispy. Also got the filet pargo lobster cream sauce. Fish wasn't cooked well but the sauce was good. Not that appealing. Lobster sauce would have tasted better w the whole fried fish. Topped it off w churros - half caramel n half chocolate which was good. Not sure if I will come back. read more

The experience at Lola's was awesome, waterfront property, with excellent service and good food. Parking looks a little intimidating; but they have valet. Ordered the snapper, it was fried a little to hard for me but you can tell good flavor. The drinks were hitting! Side note, not restaurant related but if you're sitting outside later in the evening the bugs do get more aggressive. read more

Been wanting to check Lola's out for years- and finally got the pleasure this past weekend. There was a short wait even with a reservation but nothing too crazy. Atmosphere is fun and light overlooking a the beautiful lake! Our server was friendly and helpful with menu choices. My strawberry margarita was made perfectly. We got a few apps to split and entrees and not a single bad thing to be said. Excited to come back when the weathers a little nicer. read more

Lola's now has a new location in Elizabeth, New Jersey and the places is absolutely beautiful. It is accommodating to large parties. It has about several bars. It has outdoor seating. It has valet parking, but the food itself is mediocre. We had the grilled octopus for appetizers, which was overcooked. The yuca with chicharron was soft and soggy I also had the cheese pupusa's and they were just OK. I The (Curtido) cabbage topping that goes along with it and the tomato sauce, missed the mark completely if you are a foodie or know authentic Salvadorian food There's a lot of other places that you can visit. The horchata, Rosa Jamaica and tamarind juice were extremely too sweet that we had to water them down. The only thing that was good was the skirt steak. The rice seems to be pre boiled out of a bag and the beans were smoked flavor as if they were starting to burn but The wait staff is super nice. read more

I was here with my family during the summer. We had nachos as an appetizer & Margaritas as drinks. For my meal I had Carne Asada Tacos with Yellow Rice & Beans. The ambiance was really energetic & al fresco. The staff were very friendly. read more

Five stars aren't enough! From the moment we walked in, the service at Lola's was incredibly warm and welcoming -- everyone went out of their way to make us feel like family. The decor is beautiful and thoughtful, striking the perfect balance between cozy and stylish. The food? out of this world. The flavors are bold, fresh, and completely authentic. You can taste the love and tradition. portions huge! Can't wait to come back! read more

I really enjoy the vibe at Lola's. A friend of mine lives quite close and I've been there a few times. It is always enjoyable. The food is fresh and consistent. The service is always friendly and you can bring your dog! Don't sleep on this place, it doesn't disappoint. read more

This is a fantastic summer spot! Lake front with phenomenal views. Got the nachos with steak. Not bad- steak was a pinch over cooked but generally very tasty. My husband got grilled octopus... very good!! Both food choices were form the appetizer menu. Portions were very generous. Service was good.. I liked that he let us eat in peace and didn't rush us. read more

This place was so good. My friends and I did a lake day and decided to try out Lola's. I have been eyeing this location for a while and glad I visited. I didn't make any reservations and they were very accommodating to my party of 4. The views of the lake were breathtaking and the service was great! I ordered the shrimp tacos on a corn tortilla and it was so flavorful and the drinks were strong and tasty. Definitely recommend after a lake day. Also they do have valet which seemed mandatory which is something that stood out to me which is why I give it a 4. read more

The service was very friendly. The location is on lake Hopatcong so it's a hot spot in the summer. We went mid winter so it's a bit of a different atmosphere. However the food was very good and the layout is plenty and nice. Enjoy. read more

This is a pretty happenin' place, with great lakefront views and a festive atmosphere. We came on a warm Saturday night around 6:15pm and unsurprisingly, it was busy - we were told that it would probably be a 20-30 min wait for an outdoor table but they seated us within 10 minutes. There are two floors with outside seating on both levels. There was a DJ spinning music on a boardwalk of the marina - the music was very loud so if you're trying to have a conversation I would recommend sitting indoors. But if you're into a clubby atmosphere and don't mind splitting your eardrums, then party hearty! The food is OK and unmemorable, and looked better than it tasted. Service was lovely however. It's a nice spot for a drink, if you just want to groove and hang, with some bites and breezy views. Parking was really tight so it was valet only. There is a 3% charge if paying by credit card. read more

Food and service, service by far the worst experience I've had in over a year in any restaurant. Waitress rushed us when we got there then we decided it made sense, If we were gonna eat to have the margarita tower .we didn't see the margarita tower until after we finished eating and it was ordered at the beginning of the when our order went in till . The fact that she didn't recognize, we finished eating and still said I'm sorry and finally brought it out is beyond crappy service, that's about how much I seen our waitress, when she finally did make a round to the table, came, She apologized and said it only be another two minutes, which took another 15 minutes. She finally brought it over. I should've just said no take it back. food also was mid to bad, I had the octopus and the empanadas. The empanadas are supposed to have meat and in them, All they really had was potato, and they were dry as hell , the octopus, was rubbery so it wasn't cooked right , I didn't even bother to finish neither of the meals so finally, we decided to just finish up the tower of margaritas, entering back into the same cycle of crappy service didn't see the waitress again for another 40 minutes. I finally had enough and decided to just stand up and awkwardly just stand there next to my table, which took another 10 minutes all in all almost 15 minutes waiting for a check after we had finished our meal before she finally came down and said is everything OK? Absolutely the worst experience. I don't understand the hype and I will not go back to this place ever! read more

We were pretty disappointed overall. The chicken in the enchiladas burrito was chopped up in cubes and not flavorful. Birria tacos were just ok. The coconut mojito tasted somewhat bitter, not what I was expecting. The classic margarita was probably the best thing we had. The first time we went a couple of years ago, we enjoyed it overall but really missed the mark this time around we won't be coming back unfortunately. read more

Wanted to grab a quick drink with water views and Lola's was the first place that came to mind. Located right on the water, you're able to valet park your car or pull up to the dock on your boat. The place was packed but we were seated immediately outside and had the best view of the lake. Our server was friendly and quick with our margarita order. I tried the passion fruit and my date had the mango, while on the sweet side, it was tasty and had a kick! We wanted to quickly nosh on something and decided to try the chicken fajita quesadillas, which were delish. Give this place a shot if you're looking for awesome views, an upbeat environment and tasty Tex-Mex. Lola's has an extensive drink and food menu with happy hour options, and I can't wait to come back! read more

It's a really cute place right in the lake. They make the experience super convenient starting from vallet parking your car or your boat! Sit outside n enjoy the most remarkable views. Most of the food is good, the servers are nice, the beers are cold and they are really friendly and accommodating to large groups and families. We actually went twice in 1 week. Quac is great, kids menu a good value, all the tacos are perfect and the salads provide healthy options like the vegan ceviche green salad can add grilled shrimp for a healthy protein. Marvelous place from the get go. There's friendly valet parking when you go down the very steep roller coaster hill to the dock. The restaurant has outside + inside dining with beautiful views of the steel blue lake which was rippling in anticipation of a thunderstorm. The waitstaff is genuinely friendly. Our waiter, Randy was great. Super red sangria that packed a punch. I had to follow it with Mexican cafe con leche to sober up. My lunch companion had Salmon a la isla de mujeres. He said it was good with a teryaki like sauce + rice with vegetables. I had his blackened grilled corn on the cob which was fabulous! I had the tacos Camaron which were deliciosos. The guacamole was good, but not picante (there's hot sauce on the table if you want to perk it up). Radishes were in the guacamole which was an interesting feature. An A+ dining experience! read more

Cannot beat this location - Lola's sits directly on the lake and they have tons of outdoor seating. It's a perfect place to enjoy lunch or even a drink during the summer. The food is just okay, but I think the views make up for that. Not bad food by any means, just not the best quality Mexican food. Tacos and rice felt pretty basic and bland. Drinks also made up for this - my coconut mojito was very strong and very refreshing. For drinks, views and some light bites you simply cannot go wrong. read more

I'm actually sitting here at the restaurant writing this. Ugh! If it wasn't on the water it wouldn't make it! Placed my order at the bar with a bartender who didn't understand English. She had to have another person ask me again what I wanted. Not her fault she was put in that position. Drink is so so. Food came. So greasy! I asked for utensils. None at the bar. They had to ask someone to bring some from the back I've been living on the lake over a year. First and last time coming here. A splinter from top of bar fell in my drink. Place is a dive. And it's 93 degrees out so if you are looking for a view with some AC forget it. Open air. I'm just happy I came by myself because if I would have brought family and friends it'd be embarrassing. read more

3 stars at best and wouldn't go out of my way to come back. Ambiance and location are a 10 since it's right on lake hopatcong. You can pull up with your boat and you're right on the water. This place has beautiful decorations both inside and out and indoor/outdoor seating as well as two floors. Staff was friendly for the most part minus a woman who was helping people park and yelling at people. We had reservations and were seated after a bit of a wait. Ordered a classic margarita and a strawberry margarita which didn't taste like there was much alcohol in it at all. Also my boyfriend's margarita glass came like an inch below the top of the glass which was strange but we didn't want to complain. They bring chips and salsa for the table. chips were pretty tasteless and needed salt. The salsa was good. We ordered the nachos with beef for an appetizer. Waiter got the order wrong and brought us nachos with steak. Again we didn't complain and just ate it and paid the extra. Nachos were okay but nothing to write home about and the plate was not full. Finally we ordered the steak fajitas and the chicken fajitas. Again they were just okay. We ordered 2 chicken fingers and fries for the kids as well which were good. We skipped dessert although it looked delicious. The bill was about $172. Overall wouldn't come back. You overpay for bland, okay food because of the location. Many other spots in the same area that definitely beat this place out for sure. Also parking is valet so be prepared to tip the valet after paying for an overpriced meal. read more

This place is gorgeous! I found this place via instagram and it instantly became my favorite summer spots. Bit of a drive but if you are in the mood you'll be in for a treat. The drinks are amazing, food is delicious and service is on point. If you're lucky to find an outdoor table at the upper deck - than that will make your day. On sunday's they have a Mariacho band, which are pretty good. One of the best mexican place I have been and not to pricey for the location. They even will sell you a margarita to go, which you can enjoy by the deck as the boats go by. Great location! read more

I was so excited to try this place just because of the location. It being on a beautiful lake with a beautiful view just to get disappointed on getting mediocre food for a very expensive price. 3.5 stars overall. Lola's was packed on Saturday night, and they don't take reservations, but I was surprised that our party of 6 only had to wait 5 minutes. We got the margarita tower which seemed like a good option for a group, but I think a regular margarita would've been better. The chips and salsa were ok. Serving portions were pretty large. My Enchilada style burrito with chicken was just ok, not very hot or flavorful. The Churrasquito combo (steak and chicken enchilada) was better. Amazing views! Great service by Jordy! Everything was delicious. Especially the skirt steak!

My family came here for a group lunch on a Wednesday afternoon in late June. We were a large group of 9 adults, 3 kids, so we made reservations. when we were running late we called them and they told us it was no problem- whew! The portions are huge so make sure you order things to share family style. We enjoyed the fajita platters, appetizers, and entrées- especially the grilled meats and cheese in a large cauldron. We also left with a good leftover portion for lunch. the view is awesome by the water and the wait staff were attentive and quick when we needed extra napkins and plates. The drinks were nicely made, and not too sweet to our surprise. We will definitely stop by again as a midway point when we head to the Poconos! read more

First time having lunch at Lola's & we enjoyed sitting lake side on a beautiful fall day. The food was tasty & our server Edwin was efficient & very personable. The Street Style corn appetizer serving was delicious if not pricey at $17.00. We also enjoyed our steak Fajitas & bang bang shrimp Tacos. Returned after a positive first visit but not sure I'll go back again. On their website, it says they offer happy hour Monday to Friday 12-6pm with drink including beer and food specials. However when I arrived on a Wednesday around 4:30pm, I was told the food specials ended at 4pm and only drinks were on happy hour until 6pm, but not beer as mentioned online were available at the happy hour price. Highly disappointed that they offered false advertising on their website that they would not honor. Overall food was tasty but don't think it's worth their high prices even with the lake view and it was extremely busy with a crowded parking lot and lacking service once it gets busy. read more
