If you're looking for a ton of flavor options, affordable prices, and huge portions, head to Bubbakoo's. We were looking for a fast and easy dinner and grabbed two chicken taco salads. The staff were super friendly and kindly explained the menu options to us, gave us huge scoops of all ingredients, and were patient when we added on a third item at the last minute. I really like this restaurant Jane in general. But this location has definitely been hit or miss for me. The rice will be cold. The toppings are not prepared correctly, they don't put on the correct sauces, etc. I feel like the staff needs to be a bit more mindful of putting everything together cause that's really the whole point of this restaurant. It's very similar to a Qdoba or chipotle. And if you aren't doing that correctly, then people are going to go to the other locations. I've also had issues where I'll order some of the sides like the fries or the chips and again it's very hit or miss for the quantity of food that I'm getting. I just had to write a review about their amazing birria tacos!! They were stuffed with delicious flavorful meat and the outside was grilled to perfection with crusty cheese. The consome that came with it was a bit thicker than others I've had before but it was delicious and tied it all in together. I saw online they're a limited time offering but I hope they never take it off the menu because these tacos alone are I'll keep me going back! When I first walked in, the place smelled amazing and I knew the food would be pretty good. There were a variety of options on the menu including tacos, quesadillas, burritos, bowls, and something I have never heard of, chiwawas and a taco salad. I like how these two menu options I have never heard of makes it a unique Mexican fast food place that differs significantly from others. I was very tempted to get the bbq chicken quesadilla, which was a specialty on the menu, but I ended up ordering the burrito bowl. In the bowl, I ordered carnitas, sour cream, lettuce, pico, corn, pinto beans and shredded cheese. The carnitas were soft, flavorful, and are easy to pull apart when eating. However, the watery residue from the carnitas made my bowl a little soupy which I didn't enjoy. The sour cream on the other hand didn't add much flavor in my bowl, so I would recommend asking for extra. Everything else tasted fresh and delicious. I would totally come back here to try other menu items, especially the quesadilla. I would also love to try the specialty sauces they have on hand. read more

Looked great and was busy. Maybe I just had a bad experience. The first person in the assembly line could not stop adjusting their glasses while wearing gloves and serving food. And the second person had their long hair down. Ended up with a massive piece of hair in my burrito and somehow there was a spider in my bag of chips. The guacamole comes from a weird bag and didn't brown overnight. Nothing tasted fresh and I question the hygiene of the areas we can't see from the counter. read more

If Chipotle and Buffalo Wild Wings had a baby, Bubbakoo's would be it. We came here for lunch on a Sunday and the line was nearly out the door the entire 3 hours we were there, which is a testament to both the popularity of the restaurant and the inefficiency of the staff. (Although, to be fair, the restaurant's grand opening had been 2 days prior, so the staff was probably still adjusting). The menu is similar to Chipotle's and gives you a choice of burrito, tacos, bowl, quesadillas, etc, but with many more options. The number of meats you can choose from is staggering, including sweet chili shrimp and General Tso's Chicken. They also have multiple add-on sauces of varying degrees of spiciness, which is very reminiscent of BWW's menu. Beware: guac, queso, and mango salsa all cost extra! I got a chicken quesadilla which was delicious. The tortilla was so crisp it tasted like it was fried and not grilled. My only complaint was that they didn't ask me what other fillings I wanted, so it was just a chicken and cheese quesadilla with pico and sour cream on the side. I was able to add more flavor with their variety of sauce bottles, including chipotle and mango habenero sauces. My friends got bowls and they said that the rice and beans were too soggy, and that they preferred Chipotle's bowls. The portion sizes were also a lot smaller than Chipotle's but around the same price. Overall, kudos to this Bubbakoo's location for being so popping on their third day of being open, but there is still a lot of room for improvement! read more

The food is mediocre for Tex mex, but the portions are large. The biggest issue is they NEVER get your order right. Don't even add stuff they won't put it on, or they'll forget it. Don't order the queso as aside, you'll pay for it, but never get it. This has happened multiple times. I normally get from Moe's, it has smaller portions, but you get what you order. I don't know if the people at Bubbakoo's don't care, or are just grossly incompetent. Either way the food will taste ok, but don't expect them to be able to read, and then fulfill what you actually want. That is just wishful thinking. read more

Can always use fall out meat and scoop with taco chips 1.shredded pork "Carnitas". 1 Quesadillas with shredded chicken 1 side boneless chicken wings All meals homemade easy to add lettuce / salsa / guacamole / pico etc.... The do charge extra for usual items Homemade salsa very yummy and while delivery served on side it's delicious! Other items while excellent portions needed some flavor... the beef . Chicken. Carnitas all good & fresh just needed some help during cooking process . Even w/ lengthy delivery food was surprisingly warm. Shout out DoorDash!! Boneless wings offer variety of sauces when order I went traditional buffalo sauce. Sauce was good not overly smothered. Wings themselves were dry ( over cooked ). The base of hard shell chips were a great compliment to allow scooping to taco etc meals etc...but they were stale. I'm chalking this up to getting caught in late day " delivery hell". Before covid I'd get food from here once a week. We haven't been eating out as much but m we decided to order pickup from here. Instead of using those third party apps I downloaded the bubbakoos app. Placed the pick uorder which was scheduled to be picked up about an hr after placing. I said ok they are busy so it is what it is. I get there at the "supposed" pick up time and was told I needed to wait another 30min. Like are you friggin kidding me. I wanted to cancel but was told to call back the following day to get my refund. I ended up waiting another 30min to get my food. Needless to say I will never be going back there again. I get it's a pandemic and all but set accurate times for crying out loud. People don't want to be hanging out waiting to pickup food. Can't wait until chipotle opens up in the ledgewood mall Update: ok so I was alittle upset and probably shouldn't have been so harsh about the service. Let's chock it up to having a bad day. Decided to finally stop by this place. My husband got the rice bowl. He wasn't super impressed. It was pretty small for the price and 80% rice. I had the quesadilla which I actually really liked- very filling good flavors. I liked the queso a lot. The price was on the higher side. I probably wouldn't return based on that and also the cleanliness. The girl working had her hair in her face and kept pushing it back while prepping our food. Also another girl touched a rag that was by the toppings which looked dirty? The staff needs to be informed of things like this while working with food. read more

This has to be the worst Bubbakoo's, I won't order from here again! It was 8pm on Saturday night and myself and my son decided to order food and they are pretty close to my house, ordered through the app and paid, said food would be ready in about 20 min. I got there about 8:30, the order was ready, staff looked like they were cleaning up for the night and I grabbed my order and headed home. I opened my order and something smelled off, a burnt smell, so I opened the taco and the meat was burnt and looked like they scraped it off off the bottom of the tray. Completely inedible! My son went to eat his food and had the same issue, the meat was dry and burnt. I called Bubbakoo's and they were closing in about 8 minutes, spoke to a man named Cesar who said they would remake the order and deliver it to me. He then told me to hold on, 6 minutes went by and he never came back to the phone. I hung up and called back, hoping it was an oversight but no answer. I again tried calling back, again no answer so I left a message figuring they'd call me back and we'd get our dinner. No call ever came, nor did any food! At around 10:15 pm I left a message explaining the situation and asking for a return call the following day... no call back! I called at 3:54pm on Sunday and I was told I could come in then and get my food remade?!?! I will never return and asked for a refund. I was told I would get it returned to me in 3-5 business days... smh! Poor customer service and even worse food... if I could give zero stars I would! read more

Just didn't love this burrito spot. Workers are super friendly which is why I have the 3 stars. But the service is pretty slow compared to comparable burrito places, the food wasn't as flavorful either. Usually just get the curly fries for my kids but had the chicken salad and really tasted like nothing. I know, weird. But it's worth a try to anyone thinking of trying it. We've been here a couple of times, and every order was missing items or had stuff in it that was not ordered/wanted. It's like they just toss whatever random ingredients into each item. At least they have all been random vegetarian ingredients. But most of the people in our group ended up eating only a few bites of their food because they contained stuff they just don't like. (As I type, I'm eating a burrito that was supposed to have grilled veggies, but has veggie patty instead. It is also missing sour cream and cheese; last week, it was nachos that was supposed to have guac, but had grilled veggies, and also contained two kinds of beans. First time here and if I could give six stars I would. The place is nice inside only wish there was more seating. Staff is super nice and helpful. The food is fantastic and you get a lot for the price. Way better than other places like this. I had a bowl with ghost pepper chicken. Was really good. I also had the ghost pepper sauce while yummy could be a lot hotter. The bowl was topped off with guacamole which was nice. I also had a rice ball. Omg I could eat 20 of those things. My friends and I order from here a few times a month and I'd say for the most part, they get the order right. They've messed up a few times but nothing all that bad. Until last night that is. We ordered 3 Burritos and not one of them were correct and the portions were smaller than usual. They left out all the sauces on all of the burritos. We were in the mood for some spicy food, not bland burritos. My friends ordered sour cream one theirs too, one of them had a tiny amount on one end of the burrito, the other none. For 12-15 dollars per burrito, it's pretty annoying for them to mess up the order this badly. Also, not one of the burritos was marked again. I've talked to them before about this multiple times in the past and was told this would be something they would remember to do for now on. I ordered a chicken bowl and added all of my favorite toppings, standard pico de gallo, corn salsa, lettuce and jalapeños. If I had noticed the grilled veggies I would have added that as well. There was a slight mix up with my order when the cashier placed my order in someone else's to-go bag and the person picking up almost walked out the door with my chicken bowl. But the minor crisis was averted when my eyes darted towards the cashier, then to the bag, then back to the girl who prepared my order and back to the bag while I fumbled for the words, "did you just put my order in his bag?" The quick acting line prep girl caught the mistake and sorted out the orders and everyone lived happily ever after. At least this story has a happy ending. Also, the food was pretty delicious, I added medium salsa and a few splashes of Bubbakoo's Habanero sauce which truthfully tasted faintly like good ole Tabasco. I recommend checking out Bubbakoo's Burritos. Update: changing my review to 2 stars because of the poor service. I brought my boyfriend to try Bubbakoo's and it was such a horrible experience. We left after waiting in line for 20 minutes without even having our order taken. I understand it can be hectic at lunch on a weekend but the line management was frustrating. After waiting about 5 minutes to get to the front of the line, the girl prepping the food asked if we could wait because she had a large order to fill. The line cook/additional prep guy watched the girl throw food shrimp on the grill and stood around while she started the orders. I was baffled by the lack of attention to the growing line. I waited patiently until she was done with that large phone order and then she proceeded to start on a different phone order. At this point the line was about 6 people deep and she still hadn't taken our order. The cashier actually left, did a thorough job wiping down the restaurant, came back and stood around watching the 2 people prep. There was a person in the back bringing out station fillings but he never helped move the line. We left completely frustrated. I doubt we'll be back. We have been going to this location since it opened. We always order online for pickup because of the convenience. We always did their surveys and always gave them compliments. Food is delicious, portions are better compared to their competitors. Customer service was great and always on time. BUT....they changed their staffing. I had at least 3 different bad experiences with them now. The latest one: ordered online, got to the store, one staff told me she was currently making it, I gave them some time, 10 mins later I come back and the same person told me they had completely skipped my order. Placed an order with this restaurant at 6:00 PM yesterday with a delivery time of 7:30. The delivery never happened and I couldn't get anyone on the phone. Finally, at 9:00 PM I was able to call the store where I placed the order and spoke with a manager named Jerry. Well this guy informs me that they are overwhelmed and asked me if I still wanted the order. They charged me $25.00+ dollars for my order so I asked that the order be cancelled and refund the money they charged me. They said they would. Still waiting for the refund. This is a bad business and should be avoided. They promise you but can't follow through. The manager Jerry should look for a new job, maybe bullshit artist. read more

The place was filthy. They took a knife out of disgusting water to cut my chicken. Then i couldnt even eat my quesadilla because it was drenched in grease to the point where it was dripping all over the table as you can tell in the photo. My Burritodilla, supposed to have Hibbachi Steak in it, not sure what it was, could not make out from the lone half teaspoonful. Beans? Corn? Plenty of that. Cheese? Nope, none. Nothing holding it together, had to add my own when I got it home. Half the items I selected for my meal were not there. I have read the other negative reviews and the manager response,, that it is hard to get help. This place was not busy tonight, no excuses.
