    Açaí Bowl
    Rebecca G.

These Açaí bowls are amazing! The food came out quick and the inside of the place looked decent. These photos are from a couple weeks ago so I forget which type of bowl I got, but I do remember the taste and it was great! Would definitely come back :)

Here's the deal : With my Ninja blender on the fritz I needed to find a place for my morning smoothie. Berry Bowls is located in a strip mall between an ihop & Italian restaurant. So it's a small store front that is easy to miss. Upon entering the workers were polite and quick to help with questions or preparing an order. My Smoothie was spot on I asked for a few additions & they quickly accommodated!! There are tables for sitting inside The location wasn't very busy. But it was clear and had fresh ingredients ready to go for Açaí bowls or wraps or smoothies etc... definitely worth checking out !!!

It's always nice to get some healthy food in the middle of a pandemic! If you're anything like me, this crisis has given you the go-ahead to make some really poor eating decisions.. I'm glad I tried this place out instead of going to a fast-food place. I ordered the Veggie Lovers Wrap and a PB Bananna shake, it's simple, tasty food I can feel good about eating. But best of all I actually feel full! Definately glad I gave this place a shot!

Place did not look clean, produce was not fresh. I still ordered a buffalo chicken salad, I couldn't even eat it

It was the first time there, and I was very disappointed. It was frozen burn and other than the fruit on top of it it was tasteless.

Before leaving I asked for napkins, and was ASSURED they were in the bag with my food. I didn't ask for a fork, because who serves a bowl of food without a fork? Service was fine (maybe the little attitude I got with my answer about napkins could be ditched). Didn't stay long enough to asses ambiance, but outdoor tables in sunshine looked good. Food was delicious. Plenty of it. Next time I'll look in the bag to be sure I do have napkins and a fork. I'll go back, but withhold judgment for now.

You can immediately feel how happy and welcoming everyone is the second you walk in. Even the customers were smiling, chatting, and being kind to each other... it just felt like one of those places people genuinely enjoy being in. I ordered the chicken halal over rice and baklava, and I'm already thinking about when I can go back The baklava situation alone deserves its own review because you get four pieces in an order and can mix flavors. I tried the chocolate and pistachio baklava and both were unreal. Their dessert display should honestly come with a warning because everything looks amazing. Huge thank you to Jorge and Saiyu for being so welcoming to me my first time there. I recently moved nearby, so finding a spot with great food and great energy made me ridiculously happy. Ordered takeout since their outdoor seating wasn't up yet and we couldn't dine in with the pup. The place is rather small and more like a quick grab-and-go place than a dine-in restaurant. The menu is pretty basic (platters, pitas, burger, salads) with an extensive selection of middle eastern sweets and some cakes as well. I had the "everything" chicken over rice (platter) and it didn't disappoint. The chicken was flavorful and pretty good. My husband leaned into his usual splurge with a double patty burger and fries. He said the burger was very good (and rather large too) while the fries seemed to be frozen fries rather than fresh. We also had some of the walnut baklava, which was just okay. Didn't hit the mark or seemed super fresh. There seems to be only street parking. There are two machines where you can place your order and pay seamlessly with card / Apple Pay. The food didn't take too long to come out either. Solid spot and would return, but the halal in the TRUE NYC just CANNOT be beat, even when included in the name of the business...
