Good BBQ! I visited here with my daughter. When we pulled up to this restaurant the decor reminded me of my great grandparents back porch when I was a kid. Moe's is very unique, fun, no frills type of establishment, making it clear they are here to make BBQ and make it well. There are only BBQ options on the menu and unlike other BBQ places that tend to offer many sauces to pick from. They only offer 2 sauces: red or white. Again making it clear that they are focused on what they do best- good smoked meat- with no need to drown it in sauces. There is a service window where you place your order and they call your name when your order is ready. The staff are friendly and very helpful in explaining items and making suggestions... no pomp, no frills. My daughter had 4 ribs, Collard greens, Mac n Cheese, with Banana Pudding. I had the Smoked Wings, Mac n cheese, Brunswick stew, Mississippi mud pudding, and added 4 ribs. The smoked wings were big, juicy, and full of smoked flavor. Mac n cheese was homemade and fresh from the oven. I had never had Brunswick Stew before and it was surprisingly hearty and flavorful. The overall price and value of the food was good and we had plenty of left overs to share. The service was pleasant and accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

I ordered the fried shrimp plate with baked beans and mac and cheese as my sides. I also had a spoonful of marinated slaw that came with my shrimp and everything was excellent! The mac was a tad dry but still tasted good. The beans and marinated slaw were my favorite out of everything. My friend ordered the burnt ends plate and it was amazing. We stopped by to pick up some dinner to take back to our hotel. The inside looked so welcoming and very well themed with signs, stickers and photos all over the walls. We ordered burnt ends, and while okay, they looked and tasted nothing like any burnt ends I have had. I'm not a BBQ connoisseur, but I googled and burnt ends aren't cubed and drenched in watered down BBQ sauce. This meal was a means to an end. read more

I stopped in this spot during my short visit to Destin. I'm not a seafood gal and most of the popular restaurants were seafood best which makes sense for your beach town. When i arrived there was someone ordering take out. I ordered my food, paid and then you sit down. They have a little sink right outside to wash your hands which was cool.. The staff were super friendly and very welcoming. I ordered the turkey BBQ sandwich, potato salad and baked beans. That meal was delicious. Everything was nicely seasoned and not salty. I ate every last drop of my food. The portions were fair and the prices were very reasonable. I had intentions of returning to this spot before I returned home but didn't get a chance. Had to shout this out because it was that good!!! Stopped by Moe's BBQ in Destin and everything just hit. The food was unreal, like the kind where you stop mid-bite and just sit there for a second...but honestly what made it stand out even more was the experience. Tim went above and beyond. We DoorDashed our order, so we expected it to arrive a little less than piping hot, but still wanted to give this spot a try! We got the chicken tender platter with mac & cheese and potato salad. The mac & cheese was pretty dry and lacked seasoning, and the tenders were on the tough side. The potato salad, though, was actually really good! We also tried the rack of ribs. They had decent flavor, but didn't fall off the bone like we'd hoped. The smoked chicken ended up being the best thing we ordered, juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The biggest letdown was the banana pudding. If you're from the South and expect classic banana pudding with layers of Nilla wafers, this one might not hit the mark. It tasted more like whipped cream with just a single cookie on top. Overall, not a bad experience, but definitely room for improvement, especially with the sides and desserts. read more

This place for us, it was ok at best! We've tried so many Bbq places and enough to know really good food when we eat it! The service was ok. The dining room was decent but the flies were bothersome at the time we ate our dinner. They have a small but somewhat roomy dining room with picnic tables and some tables and chairs. Destin Vacation must for BBQ! 2nd time eating here and trying to get caught up on reviews. We ate the first night and I was so hungry. I ordered platter with baked beans, potato casserole and Broccoli cheese casserole! The Broccoli had just came out of oven and was delicious! They have specials ,so be sure and look for those. Husband had chicken and they were nice enough to take off bone. Side was slaw. Now let's talk Sweet Tea! Sooo good. Not everyplace has good tea. Some taste like the bottom of instant but not here. Then......and I know your thinking that was enough food for a over weight older person.... then we had Pudding. Free from a coupon. Amazing! We were the first ones to dine on a Friday morning at 11AM and there were 4 other tables there with us. We've been to the other Moe's location but I think this one is newer. We ordered the chicken platter and brisket platter. The chicken platter was so much food, bang for your buck! The brisket was amazing. Everything was sooooo good. Mac and cheese, potato salad and hush puppies were our sides. Get the Mac & cheese, it will change your life! This location is massive. Lots of indoor seating for the Florida heat! We got a bit of everything from chicken, ribs, wings, brisket and pulled pork. The ribs bit back, wings were good but I believe they are deep fried - no smokey taste. Chicken and brisket were good. Sides.... well really did not like any of them. Mac n Cheese ... where was the cheese and was cold. Green fried tomatoes... not tasty ... not really a side that I can say we liked. It's a crazy looking hole n the wall type building that has had 9 successful years n the very tough and fickle restaurant business. The guys at the order window genuinely want to make sure u r happy with what u ordered! They start buy selling u a $5 Harvey Wallbanger which is basically a spiked milkshake! Came by late on a Sunday night and the place was empty. It was about an hour before closing and I had no idea what I wanted, just that I wanted a good taste of it all. It's a cute little shack, although there is a fair amount of seating inside. Decided to get the pulled pork sandwich which comes with two sides -- picked up the boudin balls and the mac and cheese. It's a lot of food for the cost. I was so hungry and left so stuffed. The mac and cheese was super creamy, the boudin balls weren't spicy, but there were flavorful, and the pulled pork sandwich had the sauce mixed in (my favorite) and was absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. By the time I left, I had eaten everything since I didn't have a fridge in my hotel room and didn't want it to go to waste, but I was super bummed I didn't have room for corn bread, so I ordered three slices to go. You guys (and gals) the threw the slices into the skillet and lightly browned the slices. If I could picture what heaven looks like, I'm pretty sure there would be mounds of this corn bread. So the service was the best. I came in with my 2 kids and we were all tired from being on the beach and they were absolutely amazing guys working there. The brisket was a little tough, the mac and cheese (which is what the kids had was lacking) Just all around the food wasn't that great. Umm when this place first came to town it was awesome. We always go to 98 BBQ which is phenomenal but decided to come back and yikes it was not good. The sides were limited and just ok, not a lot of flavor. The BBQ was meh, the ribs had a weird taste, the Turkey had no taste, I'm not sure if it cuz they were closing.
