Modoo donuts, that name always ring a bell to me, when i always drive by this area, 100% of the time this place makes me turn and look, and get curious, the name sounds like voodoo donuts from oregon, but hey i believe this donut shop separates from voodoo and other donut shops around. Finally came here and inside this place is clean! They keep there donuts at back wall just like how dunkin donuts displays theirs. Their donuts looked real good and they appear a little bigger than an average mom and pop donut. Well i stood there not sure what i want, and their donuts don't have names labeled, but they label them with numbers, so i guess you tell the donut guy you want # so and so, but it's better to ask what kind of donut your getting into or maybe you don't have ask, majority you can identify them like glazed, sprinkles,the classics, but a few looks out of the ordinary. I took a bite and they are delicious!!! i got a donut with strawberry frosting on top with sprinkles, and a donut crumb cake. The donuts here are not average, cheap tasting fried ones, like you can get anywhere else, but modoo's are cakey quality made,balanced between bread like and sweet. Only to get there and find out they stopped making those 3 years ago :( the workers weren't even wearing a mask and neither was any Asian customers entering the place. My new favorite donut shop. It's only 12 minutes walking distance from my residence. I have to leave very early in the morning to start my shift. When I'm up and waiting for the bus, Modoo Donuts is there and open waiting for me. I can go inside away from the cold and buy myself hot and ready croissants and blueberry cake donuts. The blueberry cake donuts are my favorite. I never tried them until I found Modoo Donuts. They also have tasty coffee drinks, tea and assortment of soda, milk and juices. They also serve breakfast and lunch menus. I haven't sampled them yet, but I want to. I think I'll try the ham, bacon egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich one day. The owners know their patrons by name and always make you feel welcome. Best donuts and pastry's, friendly atmosphere and good people. Go pay them a visit. read more

Delicious donuts 24/7! What more could anyone ask for? It's also really cheap too. My favorites are the donut holes that taste like cake, custard filled donut holes, and the cronut holes. Interestingly purple inside, with blueberry bits (not whole blueberries,) which means they're possibly permeated with blueberry juice. All in all, love. The chocolate square has a delicious CINNAMON chocolate filling!! wouldn't have known if we hadn't asked about it. It was fire tbh esp if u love that combo which I do. Came in earlier today for some donuts and coffee was greeted by a female employee with a simple what do you want. Ignored it at first but then when we were ordering donuts we asked for a croissant and she was apparently very taken back by this request and started to say that's not a donut that's not a donut very rudely. After being sad that I missed yesterday's national donut day, I decided to stop by this place after reading the reviews. I got the Oreo croinut, French crueller, glazed donuts, and a small coffee. The French cruller, which is probably my favorite type of donut, was excellent! Perfectly fluffy and so soft and doughy inside. I loved it. The glazed donuts, which aren't really my favorite in general, were better than other ones I've tasted. The Oreo croinut (I don't know why they spell it this way instead of "cronut") was pretty good but personally wasn't a huge fan of. I liked the way the bread part of it was fried, it was crunchy outside and fluffy inside. But for my personal taste, it was too much cream filling inside and on top and overbearing. The cream filling thankfully wasn't too sweet and had a good consistency to it but I still wiped off most of the cream to the side. But that's just me, I don't like cream too much in general. I think they suckered me in with their location (close to my work) but most importantly they have a delicious mango smoothie. I am so glad I found this donut shop! Their donuts and fluffy, fresh, and delicious. Their cream puffs are so good, too. All I can hear is the fan blowing, and someone working quietly in the back room. I noticed the bell to ring out the employee, and tapped it a couple times. After waiting there for about 7 minutes now, I figured he didn't hear me, I tapped it again another two times, however, THIS time I hear a man yell angrily(not a good damn sign). After waiting ANOTHER 6-8 minutes, I was headed for the door, when Out comes an older Asian man wearing glasses and some sort of mask.. At this point I'm like wow, really? But me being me, I decide to still give it a shot and just order.. He says "what do you want" And I tell him 1 Dozen. As I'm pointing to what kinds of donuts I want, he is literally grabbing everything I'm telling him NOT to get.. I said "uh, no I don't want that one" and he blatant ignores me and continues. I basically got a half dozen he picked out on his own. Now my wife is standing in the back and reading an article on her phone, and there just so happens to be a damn can of Coca Cola located by her on the counter that was not hers, nor did she grab it. LOVE their blueberry cake donuts! It's a flavor explosion of blueberries, also amply sweet. I'm not a fan of super sweet, but this combo just works. Hands down this is the go-to late night donut shop in town. This place is clean, inviting and most importantly, tasty! I could rant and rave and tell you all my little stories about this joint, but let me give it to you in two words: FREE WIFI. (I may kick myself for spilling the secret) Amazing place to study and the kid behind the counter is always super friendly. You literally want your standard deep fried donut...chocolate covered twist or buttermilk...thick and dense... or the always reliable apple fritter. We were looking for a donut shop that's open late. We found this donut shop on yelp and wanted to try it. We arrived at 1130pm and there's only a tray of donuts available. For being a 24 hour donut shop, it was disappointing to see on a Friday night that only a few donuts were on display. We asked if they are making some but they said that donuts will be available at 4am. If that's the case, they shouldn't advertise as a 24/7 donut shop or know how to keep up with the demands of the customers. I don't recommend going here late at night. read more

I sit here in solace snacking silently on a Boston Cream filled Donut Hole. Modoo Donuts should be more aptly named Moi Doo Donuts, because moi do do Modoo Donuts. Is there anything particularly glorious about Modoo? I have a hard time being objective in this case. As a kid my parents would take me to Dunkin Donuts and we would buy 5 dozen munchkins (Donut Holes). I still remember eating away a donut in a bite. Now you may be thinking, "What happened to Modoo? When did Dunkin come into the mix?" You should be asking, "What happened to Dunkin? When did Modoo come into the mix?" Modoo is clearly a holdover from the Dunkin franchise days. How do I know? LOOK AT THE FONT ON THE SIGN FOR HEAVEN SAKE!! Approximately 15 years ago I was violently stripped of my childhood Donut house. Dunkin was taken away by corporate suits that "knew better". I was heart broken, ravished really. However, God had a plan in those sad moments. 5 years later I met a girl. She invited me to her parents house and on the way I saw a "Donut" sign from my childhood. My heart stirred. My belly rumbled. My mouth watered. My soul was at peace. The first name wasn't right, but the smell was, the plain cake was, the chocolate food cake was. The coffee was ... awful ... oh well. I married that girl a year later and still drive by Modoo once a weak. So, you see, I cannot possibly be objective about such a thing. Although, surprisingly, I do give it 4 stars. FOUR STARS?!!? AFTER THAT STORY SCOTT!!?!? YOU HEARTLESS SON OF A ... WAIT!! There is a reason. THEY ARE ALWAYS OUT OF DONUTS! OUT OF MY PRECIOUS DONUTS! MY MUNCHKINS!! It is rare that I actually GET the donut I go in for. Its infuriating! And, for reasons I cannot fathom, they do not serve Dunkin Donut coffee.
