55.00 for these ugly nails that had to be drilled off because he couldn't (owner follow a pic go elsewhere

Had a pic of the nails I wanted she says my nails are too small for design which def not.then argues with me making herself look like a fool in front of her clients def not how a business woman should act. Plenty of other salons in area do yourself a favor and go there I only went because I known them for a long time and she's gonna charge me 55 for these !! Now I gotta go elsewhere to fix them bad customer service

I got my nails done for Disney and they did an amazing job she was gentle and also was really nice. It game me a good video the overall decor too it was pretty and stylish.

Definitely a place to go for good nails, cheaper than downtown Savannah and worth it. The staff was super nice and did a great job. My mani and pedi was $86 in total, a little up there but I'll definitely be going again! Ask for Steve, he's so sweet and really gentle!

This is my first time at Modish and I'm super happy with my visit. I showed Hannah a Pinterest pin and she did an AMAZING job at recreating. Loved the atmosphere and great vibe. For more info these costed me 73! Loved it.

I had high hopes for this salon because it had good reviews and it's so close to home, but I think I will be making the trip back to Lil Nail Shop in Richmond Hill to continue my nail services. I asked for a powder dipped manicure with white tips. So I thought it would be the translucent pink base with the white tip. The whole nail definitely turned out pretty white and it doesn't look very good... kind of gave my nails an unhealthy coloring like I lack oxygen or something. I think doing nails is kind of like handwriting-- some people just kind of have bad handwriting no matter how hard they try. A lot of time and effort was spent into doing my nails, but the results just aren't pretty. They're very bulky and unflattering. Also, while my nails were being filed, my finger was cut and blood was drawn. The nail file wasn't thrown away, which makes me worry. If my finger was cut, imagine how many other people's fingers may have been cut, and now we are all sharing the same file. My service was also extremely expensive. At the shop in Richmond Hill, I am charged $35 for the SNS/powder dip polish change and they do a fantastic job every time. At Modish, they charged me $65 for the same service. I suspect that they are charging for a manicure as well, but that wasn't done. No trimming of my cuticles or anything else that goes along with a traditional manicure-- I literally just had the powder taken off and reapplied. The salon is very pretty inside and I do like that they have music videos playing. I might come back for a pedicure at some point out of pure convenience of the location of this salon.. but I frequently get my nails done and I wish I had found a closer place to get them done. However, with this price and quality of work, Modish just isn't that place for me.

Trying to cover the burns with makeup.

Although the staff was nice and my eyebrows were neat, my experience was horrendous. I came in wanting individual lashes and an eyebrow wax. I left out with serious burns and eyes partly shut due to super heavy lashes. I was visiting Savannah for a wedding and had to endure this mess. The pain was horrible. I had to take ibuprofen and use A&D ointment to try and sooth the pain. I couldn't even get my makeup done for the wedding. Now, 2 days later, my face is horrible. I have scars above both of my eyelids and there is still pain. I would not allow them to do this again. Worst experience ever! No discount was provided. I paid full price plus tip.

I have been going here for several months about every two weeks and have not been unhappy yet. I get the gel nail polish and a pedicure each time. The price point is great and the staff is extremely professional. They don't pressure you into upgrading and are easy to talk with and understand. The designs have been spot on. They also offer a punch card and on my fifth visit I got 25% off. They are not over crowded most of the time and do not rush your services to get the next customer. My daughters love coming with me and they are great with kids! Love this salon and highly recommend!

Deluxe Pedicure with gel polish

As I walked in I was immediately greeted. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant. She explained each pedicure option to me. I selected the deluxe pedicure with gel polish and hot wax. I was offered a complimentary cocktail, I enjoyed that as well. The salon was very peaceful & quite. Couldn't ask for better service. I will defiantly be a returning customer!

You can see the difference between the nail that the manager fixed and the other (better nail)
Mary W.

TL;DR: Overall decent and clean salon. Don't let the manager do your nails, he's terrible. This is a decent nail salon. I chose it because it's only two mins from my house. For the most part it is very clean and the staff is usually pretty friendly and will do my nails the way that I asked. The reason the I'm giving them three stars is for two reasons: 1. The manager doesn't really do a good job. On the two unfortunate occasions that he had to do my nails, he has disappointed me. The first time he argued with me that there was no such thing as gel powder and that there was only acrylic powder. I explained to him several times that I had always gotten gel powder at their salon. He got an attitude and did my nails with acrylic powder. I figure he got that way because they were packed and he didn't feel like walking a few feet and getting the gel powder. I was very disappointed and almost did not return. 2. I will include a picture for this one. But I had to get my thumb nail fixed and because my normal guy had to leave early, I was stuck with the manager again. I now get the SNS dip instead of gel or acrylic powder. So he fixes my nail, and I'm no nail tech nor have I ever gone to cosmetology school, but I have been getting my nails done long enough to know when they're being done right and wrong. He put the tip on my thumb and so far so good. Then when the time came to dip my finger in the SNS powder, he didn't! He brushed it on like it was acrylic or gel powder. Needless to say, this effected the look and shape of the nail. It looks totally different from my other thumb and fingers. This guy is not very good and should stick to managing and managing only. On a positive note: Lee is amazing! And if you're unfamiliar with SNS, it's much healthier for your nails than acrylic or gel powder. You just dip your finger and go!

A basic white polish.

This lovely salon is tucked away in old Pooler off of HWY 80 & 5 minutes from the I95 exit. I've…read morebeen to their Savannah location for years and have always enjoyed my visits. But there is something about this new space that feels cozy. Let's start with there is lots of parking... it's located off a busy street but is quiet when inside. When you first enter you are greeted with a open space with a small retro seating area to the left, check in desk and to the right. The entire right wall you are greeted by floor to ceiling floral wallpaper done in grays, black and pink. Plus all the stylist stations. This location also features a aesthetician Morgan who give amazing facials and a selection of other services, including waxing's, micro needling, lashes and even back facials. I first met Morgan during Christmas after discovering her from IG. I had a Dermaplane facial which ended up being more then just a Dermaplane. It consisted of not only a Dermaplane, but also a 2 types of mask, cleanse, exfoliation, hot steam, red light treatment and a face, shoulder and arm massage. Yes, you did not read that wrong. You get a massage.‍ For this visit I received a anti-aging facial. Which is similar to a signature facial and you get all the same bells and whistles, but the mask when dried makes you look like you could be featured in a Halloween movie... lol. It helps with fine lines & firming the skin. I highly recommend it. I also had a schedule hair appointment with Rachel who I love. When I first met her my hair was basically fried from over processing and from making it every color under the sun. Since then my hair is a healthy vanilla blonde and I love that she is straight with me and isn't afraid to tell me no when it isn't best for my hair. All the stylist during my visit were friendly and it reminded me of a close group of friends that worked together. Easy going, light fun vibe. Everyone gave each other pointers and offer helped and there was a easy going no judgement feeling the whole time I was there. I highly recommend trying out their newer location here in Pooler. I still love their old location in Savannah but after experiencing this cozy, quieter location. I can say yes Pooler is cooler. Lol

Sandi was super adorable and sweet with gentle hands. She was definitely trying to make my experience a good one. I got a shampoo cut and style. I must say the shampoo basins were the most comfortable I've ever been in, so no after neck pain which was a plus. She cut my hair first then shampooed and blew dry my hair. My only problem was I wanted more layers which I asked for after she was done because the layers were long and they just fell flat. She did try her best to accommodate my request and added a bit more but you only see them on the ends. I'm thankful I got a decent cut. $70+ is pricey but I guess nowadays it's the going rate.

I ended up paying over 70.00 when I had to come home and redo everything piece by piece and straighten it . I could have did what they did my self . Super unhappy and feel like I gave away money. They also were rushing to be done with me as they had appointments coming in. Def felt like a bother, instead of them telling me they just couldn't do my hair .

I like my haircut. I am satisfied, but I wouldn't recommend it or go back because of the culture…read moreand the level of care I felt like I received. Details below First, about me: 1) My hair is straight and notably thick for fine hair. 2) This was my 1st time trying a salon that isn't like $65+/ women's cut. I have taken my probable bias into account while creating this review. I saw Niki (spelling = ?) for a women's haircut. I wanted to trim off several inches to armpit-ish length + soften the edges. Haircut was good. I must mention I witnessed the 2 present hairdressers complaining *in front of clients* about the lack of stylists in the area to hire, and they joked - for a duration that has me convinced it *totally wasn't* a joke - that they'd hire anyone who claims to be a hairstylist just as long as they knew basic color theory. Yikes. So obvs that's big turnoff to a new client + worth mentioning, but the experience was just unsatisfactory overall. Here's the deal. I've talked to so many bubbly hairdressers who are passionate about their work. And I get that a salon is like a family. That's great! But if I'm your family's dinner guest, I expect the host to introduce themself/-selves, maybe offer water/beverage, check in about water temperature, ask about myself, keep conversations with family co-hosts positive and professional, speak of your family to guests with dignity, and, idk, help me feel welcomed throughout? Cool. These expectations - though some were possibly too much - weren't met at Parkway Salon. Nor were some other basic things I'd expect- like an atmosphere where I'm comfortable speaking up or asking for clarification, for a heavy-handed hairdresser to look in my general direction while brushing, for hairdressers to be positive but maybe not carelessly dancing while snipping away, to be asked if I want a receipt, and maybe even to be asked if I want to schedule a next appointment. I could tell Niki was trying to be nice at the beginning and at the very end, though. And, again, I still like my haircut. Maybe the negative atmosphere was from the other client present, or maybe mornings are just rough here.
