0/5 stars is my firm review, I do not recommend this salon in the slightest -- I went in today for a pedicure and a fill and didn't even end up getting my fill because of how terrible my experience was for my pedicure. Let me begin by saying regardless of the service, I still tipped BOTH women that worked on my toes (the initial tech and the tech that had to fix her work) 20% because I'm a firm believer in people being compensated for their time. However, the quality of both pedicures & my service was piss poor. The first tech did a terrible job shaping up my nails, had nail polish all over my skin, chipped my big toe (and hence had to shorten ALL of my nails as a result), flooded my cuticles, and had the GEL POLISH on my nails looking LUMPY. After communicating to her throughout the service the different corrections I wanted and still being dissatisfied, I ended up asking for a different tech to revise her work at the end of her service. Another tech did come and clean up the shape and repainted my nails with the same gel polish. The shape was an improvement from the first, but for whatever reason the polish has bubbled and cracked on my toes -- yet I was serviced TODAY and got gel polish which should cure immediately. I'm not sure if they did not prime and dehydrate my nails correctly, or if their polish is defective -- but my toes still need to be redone. Considering I paid full price + tipped 20% for a deluxe pedicure and STILL need them fixed, I will neverrrrr return and don't recommend you waste your $ or time at their establishment if you care about quality of work and your time. read more

I went and everyone was nice and the service was great. I got them done 2 weeks ago and the polish came off and then i realized my toes. They have completely disconnected from my nail bed half way down my toe and turned yellow. This has never happened to my toes and this was my first time going here. While my first initial review was good. I felt to update. I got my first pedicure at 6 pm at night. By the next morning two were off. I went that evening and had the two fixed, and two days late two more were off. I also want to add that day 3 my feet were no longer soft. I had high hopes for this salon because it had good reviews and it's so close to home, but I think I will be making the trip back to Lil Nail Shop in Richmond Hill to continue my nail services. I asked for a powder dipped manicure with white tips. So I thought it would be the translucent pink base with the white tip. The whole nail definitely turned out pretty white and it doesn't look very good... kind of gave my nails an unhealthy coloring like I lack oxygen or something. I think doing nails is kind of like handwriting-- some people just kind of have bad handwriting no matter how hard they try. A lot of time and effort was spent into doing my nails, but the results just aren't pretty. They're very bulky and unflattering. Also, while my nails were being filed, my finger was cut and blood was drawn. The nail file wasn't thrown away, which makes me worry. If my finger was cut, imagine how many other people's fingers may have been cut, and now we are all sharing the same file. My service was also extremely expensive. At the shop in Richmond Hill, I am charged $35 for the SNS/powder dip polish change and they do a fantastic job every time. At Modish, they charged me $65 for the same service. I suspect that they are charging for a manicure as well, but that wasn't done. No trimming of my cuticles or anything else that goes along with a traditional manicure-- I literally just had the powder taken off and reapplied. The salon is very pretty inside and I do like that they have music videos playing. I might come back for a pedicure at some point out of pure convenience of the location of this salon.. but I frequently get my nails done and I wish I had found a closer place to get them done. However, with this price and quality of work, Modish just isn't that place for me. read more

Although the staff was nice and my eyebrows were neat, my experience was horrendous. I came in wanting individual lashes and an eyebrow wax. I left out with serious burns and eyes partly shut due to super heavy lashes. I was visiting Savannah for a wedding and had to endure this mess. The pain was horrible. I had to take ibuprofen and use A&D ointment to try and sooth the pain. I couldn't even get my makeup done for the wedding. Now, 2 days later, my face is horrible. I have been here twice before and had a good experience. But after today I don't think I will come back. I made an appointment and had to wait a half hour until someone could see me. They asked if I wanted individual lashes or mink lashes. I couldn't remember which one, but I said that I wanted the service that took an hour (which is where they attach the lashes onto your individual lashes, which is why I though that was what I was getting). Finally the girl comes back and asks me again what I want. I said individual because I though that was what I had agreed upon (again, where individual lashes are glued one by one onto your own). She pulls out some lashes and say she has only one length--the shorter length. Which I say okay, fine, I've been waiting a half hour already, what am I gonna do, walk out and say no because they had only one length? Then she starts applying the lashes. She told me to keep my eyes open which I thought was weird because previously I had to close my eyes. I figured maybe she did things differently than previous people that had done my lashes. I didn't think anything of it until it was too late. I realized she was giving me the fake lashes--the type that I could do at home on my own! I was pretty livid. Not only did I get these cheap fakies but one eye was applied differently than the other so now my eyes look crooked. There are too many salons in Pooler to mess with this kind of crap so I will not be going back. read more

Gave them one last try just thinking maybe last time was a fluke. I call in to make an appointment for a dip manicure (the manicure is included with dip for $50). They ask who I want to see, I tell them, and they say that they cannot make appointments for either of the two people I asked for. Okay, why ask? I go anyway. I arrive and the nice front desk woman removes the top coat of my nails and asks who I want to see and I said anyone but Veronica.. guess who I get seated with. Veronica. Now, I think because I got kind of an elaborate gel polish before from her and had a bad experience, that maybe since it's dip and a single color that I may have a better experience. No. I paid $60 for my set. The price menu says coffin is $5 so I understand that but why the other $5? I didn't get them cut, nothing crazy and again no manicure which is supposed to be included? I was rushed because despite calling to ask about availability they still offered to provide me service. I have been going here for several months about every two weeks and have not been unhappy yet. I get the gel nail polish and a pedicure each time. The price point is great and the staff is extremely professional. They don't pressure you into upgrading and are easy to talk with and understand. The designs have been spot on. They also offer a punch card and on my fifth visit I got 25% off. They are not over crowded most of the time and do not rush your services to get the next customer. Hands-down the worst nail place I've ever been to. The lady that did my nails was beyond incompetent. First she tried to pry my acrylic tips off with another acrylic nail and when that didn't work she started drilling my dip polish off at the highest speed possible. When she was done removing all of the dip in the most unprofessional lazy way ever I was left with ridges in my nails and remains of the polish in my hair, on my purse, and all over my nail. The manicure I requested was her sticking my hands in a bowl of water for 5 seconds and cutting some cuticles. Half the time she was on her phone and not even acknowledging me but I'm not surprised since half of the people that work there were on their phones or were kicking back in a chair without their shoes on. She left black specs all over my nails from her nasty brush she used to remove the nail dust and when I told her that there were black specs all over the nails she just painted over it. TL;DR: Overall decent and clean salon. Don't let the manager do your nails, he's terrible. This is a decent nail salon. I chose it because it's only two mins from my house. For the most part it is very clean and the staff is usually pretty friendly and will do my nails the way that I asked. The reason the I'm giving them three stars is for two reasons: 1. The manager doesn't really do a good job. On the two unfortunate occasions that he had to do my nails, he has disappointed me. The first time he argued with me that there was no such thing as gel powder and that there was only acrylic powder. I explained to him several times that I had always gotten gel powder at their salon. He got an attitude and did my nails with acrylic powder. I figure he got that way because they were packed and he didn't feel like walking a few feet and getting the gel powder. I was very disappointed and almost did not return. 2. I will include a picture for this one. But I had to get my thumb nail fixed and because my normal guy had to leave early, I was stuck with the manager again. I now get the SNS dip instead of gel or acrylic powder. So he fixes my nail, and I'm no nail tech nor have I ever gone to cosmetology school, but I have been getting my nails done long enough to know when they're being done right and wrong. He put the tip on my thumb and so far so good. Then when the time came to dip my finger in the SNS powder, he didn't! He brushed it on like it was acrylic or gel powder. Needless to say, this effected the look and shape of the nail. It looks totally different from my other thumb and fingers. This guy is not very good and should stick to managing and managing only. On a positive note: Lee is amazing! And if you're unfamiliar with SNS, it's much healthier for your nails than acrylic or gel powder. You just dip your finger and go! read more

I give this place five stars because of three very important reasons. 1) the staff was very friendly. No attitude whatsoever to do my nails the way I asked. I have been to many nail salons looking for a place where I wouldn't feel as if they are gossiping in front of me. I found it here. 2) he did exactly what I asked and it turned out amazing. I got a pink and white fill in. 3) not only did he do what I asked, he went above and beyond to pay attention to detail about my nails. I have gone here a few times and loved it but I went last week and I am so dissatisfied with my visit. I got the same pedicure I always get which normally takes about forty-five minutes to an hour. The girl doing them did a good job but a lady she knew sat down beside me and I could tell my girl was rushing to get to her. She finished my pedicure in thirty minutes... I also wanted my SNS taken off my fingernails and a cut down so she put my fingers in a bowl to soak them off. I sat there for twenty minutes soaking my fingernails while she worked on the lady's feet next to me. I understand the soaking process but normally they soak then buff, soak then buff, for a faster result. She finally got up to look at my nails which were basically all the way soaked off and wanted me to put them back in the soak!! I asked if she could just buff them off with the machine and she did. I ended up leaving before she could cut them down because I was so angry about the whole ordeal. Made me feel like an unvalued customer and that is not the service I have come to expect from this place.. Such a waste of money. read more

Recently moved to this area from Nashville, TN and was looking for a new nail salon. Was referred to Modish by current customers. Having been in many "big city" salons, I was VERY impressed. Modish is extremely clean, all white and very stylish decor. Beautiful light fixtures. If you have all white flooring, you MUST be very, very clean! The owners, Mun and his wife, are extremely friendly and beyond hospitable. Offer of drinks of choice and anything to ensure your time in the salon is a superb experience. I was surprised the tools are "one time use" in sterile packaging - most salons do not do this due to costs. Very nice! Was very happy with the services and the five star customer service. I've come here plenty of times and never have I left unsatisfied, until Saturday. I came into Modish around 12/1-ish. I've worked in a nail salon and I know how busy it gets on a Saturday, not only that but the quality of Modish and their workers are always superb, so I didn't mind waiting. However, if I knew that I would be waiting an hour and paying $41 dollars to have crooked nails, cotton stuck under gel polish and painful ridges in my nails, I wouldn't have stayed. The guy that did my nails, looked like he knew what he was doing, until he started to shape my nails and cut the plastic tips (along with my natural nail and skin underneath, which was very painful). I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but, I shouldn't have. Mon, did let me come back in the next day for him to fix them and they turned out a lot better and a lot nicer than the day before when I left. But, today I had three nails pop off clean and one nail bleeding for awhile nonstop. I'm not one to complain and never to leave a review about this, but it wasn't worth my time and definitely not worth my money. My only advice for Modish, is to educate your workers in how to do nails/acrylics and to make sure they know what they're doing. This was the one experience that I learned to call in before and make an appointment with someone that actually knows what they're doing. After living in Savannah for a year I have finally found my go to nail salon! I guess they are fairly new, and the inside is nice. All white decor, they have a good amount of polishes, organic regular polishes (no extra cost!) and of course gel polishes. I am always greeted and helped right away which has not Been the case for me at a lot of places in Pooler. The Deluxe pedi ($36 vs standard $26) is amazing! They use this stuff that goes in the water that is like jelly bubbles...hard to explain but t feels great. There are 10 pedicure chairs. The service is always great and I love my acrylic nails. Yin does my pedicures and she is great! They have a nail bar set up so multiple people can get manis next to each other. Highly recommended!!! read more

Thought that i was walking into luxury, VERY unprofessional business that I thought WAS WORTH my time, SITTING here for 30 minutes inside of water FOR A PEDICURE they had two other people waiting inside of water waiting to get pedicures and the guy walked away and started doing someones finger nails. My husband got up and asked the people after sitting for 30 minutes how long will it be and they said between 35-40 minutes. I think not!! Not even salons in town of savannah or anyone else will have you sitting, no one asked if we needed anything to drink or nothing. They gave me a drink menu to not even come back and ask if i wanted anything. I wiped my feet off and walked out of the door. Very unprofessional business!!! I had a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed at Modish salon today oct 11th, 2019. The lady that waxed my brows failed to tell me that she waxed off half of my right eyebrow. She penciled it back in and said nothing about her mistake. I got home and washed my face and saw half of my right eyebrow missing. I went back to the salon and she apparently ran to the back to hid. Spoke with Elise who offered to draw it back on. No apologies at all. My skin is burnt where she took it off at. Do not have your eyebrows waxed there. She was so unprofessional.
