First of all the owner has a big attitude and is not very nice I came in the shop to get my trailer ramp door springs replaced and as I was trying to back up the trailer in the shop the owner started yelling and saying you don't know how to back up a trailer It's a single cargo trailer so it's going to swerve from left to right when you back up I was about to turn around and leave as the owner was making me mad but I ended up just getting it done as I needed to use my trailer asap service was slow to get it fixed too and the person who originally does the springs was out so they had to get someone else to do it and that took over 2 hours they finally did get it done but I was not satisfied with the service and the springs ended up breaking not even within a year of being installed I didn't go back to them and complain as I didn't want to deal with the owners attitude again so I went elsewhere for trailer springs I don't recommend this business I'd go somewhere else for your garage door needs and etc read more

Ryan was out this morning to repair the opener on one of the garage doors. He found the problem immediately and fixed it, now it's as good as new. I thought I would not be able to get a technician to my house for a few days but Kathryn was able to schedule somebody for the very next day. Eddie was the technician that arrived at my home. Had them out approximately 2 years ago to fix our garage door. The work was done with no problems and everything was fine. We recently were having some issues and called them again. They came out and said the bolt that they put in was loose and that it needed to be tightened. They then left and then billed me $110. Not ONCE did they mention this on the phone before I had them come out. Also, all they did was tell me the bolt was loose they tighten the bolt (that they installed previously), which I could have done myself. I called and insisted on how it was wrong to be charged the service fee when I was not told about it prior to them coming out and all they did was tighten a bolt. However, now they are saying they replaced the bolt, which is a lie. I offered to pay for the gas for them coming out and he very rudely said find another garage door place. Do not worry I will be after this experience. read more

I have been a customer with Modesto Overhead Door for more than 20 years. They installed the first custom sized overhead garage door with a Liftmaster opener in 2002. Someone backed into the door causing cosmetic damage. The door worked fine but I was not happy with the blemish. MOD sold and installed the replacement. They came out one time to service the door and installed a new motherboard. I stated all that to say I am an established customer. On Thursday, 12/8/22 the opener would not open/close the door. I called for service and was informed there were no open slots for service on Friday and I would have to wait until Monday. I felt that was reasonable. An appointment was made for Monday, 12/12/22, 11:00AM-1:00PM. I was waiting before 11:00AM. At 1:00PM I called. The phone answering representative was short and curt. Offering no explanation or apology stated the Serviceman was installing a spring on another location and would arrive in one hour. That was at 1:15PM. I informed her I would have appreciated notice that they wete running behind. She made no comment. At 2:45PM the Serviceman arrived. He was professional, personable and apologetic. After examining the door he reported the belt was torn and needed to be replaced. I felt that was reasonable. Problem was he did not have a replacement on his truck. After calling the office he was told the belt was in stock but I would need to wait until Thursday for it to be installed. I was never offered any kind of acknowledgement or apology for the extended wait. Time has diminished the importance of Customer Service in our world. I find it sad that myself, as a long time loyal customer, was treated poorly by office staff. The serviceman was very apologetic but stated there was nothing he could do. read more

I had Modesto Overhead Door install a complete new system for my garage door. After they installed it they programmed my car so I wouldn't have to carry the remote that came with the door. When I tried to use the opener in the car it didn't work. When you push it the door opens about 2 inches. The second time a little more, the third time it works. Called and told them about my problem, was told to hold the button longer. DOESN'T WORK. Finally get the owner on the phone and he sent techs out right away. They checked it out told me it is the cars problem. LEXUS says it is the door. The remote works exactly the same way the car does. After the door opens the first time it works perfectly. Leave home come back the same thing! Push it 3 times and it works. Do I live with this problem? NO. NO. I am too old to put up with this. read more

I, recently, made an appointment for Modesto Overhead Door, INC. to come out and check my two garage door opener and key pad. Technicians Carlos and Wilbur called to say they would be a few minutes late, I appreciate common courtesy. They installed new light bulbs, changed the batteries, oiled the garage door tracks, and reset my key pad. They were both so very nice and it worked perfect when they left. A few days later, I noticed one of the garage doors was not working with the new code. I called Deanna to explain my situation. She immediately rescheduled another follow-up appointment at NO charge. Fortunately, they had a cancellation and were able to send out technicians the next day. This time, Rob and Steve were the men who arrived to check my garage door opener. As one of my garage door openers is over 15 years old, I figured it was time to replace the unit. But, Rob and Steve were able to fix the problem at no extra cost. They were, also, very nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and explained that should it happen again, it may be time to get a new motor. They gave me prices that were very reasonable should I need to replace my current garage door opener. My son and his wife, recently, had a home built and Modesto Overhead Door, INC. is the company who installed their three garage door openers and they, also, have been very happy with the services provided.
