I first used this company about 5 years ago when my garage door came off the tracks, so it was basically an emergency during normal business hours. I was told that there was an opening later that day, and the technician showed up on time. I was charged $250 for getting the door back in alignment which took about 10 minutes. I thought the price was high but at least my garage door was fixed and no longer stuck open. Fast forward five years and the door had a similar issue. I called NorCal again but got a recorded message saying that they would be out of town until the following week. So I called someone else. The new company I called came out later the same day as well, and quickly fixed my garage door along with tightening the springs and lubrication of the moving parts. A full tuneup. The charge was only $150, and it being 5 years later my suspicion of paying a premium previously was obvious. Even though this company does acceptable work you can expect to pay a lot more than the average price of the competition, so do yourself a favor and call Best Overhead Door lol BTW the idea that the drive was responsible for the high price is curious since this company is actually MUCH CLOSER than the other company that charges $100 less. Five stars are not enough for Paul! Paul has repaired my garage door twice in the last 10 years. I use it like a front door so it opens and closes quite a bit. Paul repaired an electric gate for me too! It's been working great ever since he repaired it. The top panel on our garage door cracked and bent, and the rivets holding the center supports to the panel popped, making the door inoperable. I called Paul and left a message late in the day, and received a call back shortly. I walked him through the situation, and he was able to make it out the next day around noon. He quickly analyzed the cause of the problem, recommended an economical repair, and also tuned up the overall door operation. He and Brandon did a great job, and the door now operates smoothly, and very quietly. He provided some tips for maintaining both doors, and avoiding future issues. Had an unexpected garage door issue! Yelped garage door repairs TURLOCK & NOR-CAL came up so PAUL was the first one I called. He answered right away, showed up within the hour and diagnosed the problem right away and was able to fix the issue. This business is very unprofessional. He came out to my house took one look at the garage door machine and said I need to replace everything and it'll cost me $1600+!!! He didnt touch a thing in efforts to fix something and had the nerve to charge me $45. This is ridiculous he was rude and couldnt even speak properly on the phone. I called Mid Valley Garage and the guy fixed the prob in less than 10 minutes and only charged me $60! I DO NOT RECOMMEND NORCAL OVERHEAD DOORS AT ALL unless you wanna get tricked into paying for a service you never received. read more
