I had a follow-up visit from the owner (Luis) a few days after the initial repair, and I can honestly say this company stands out for all the right reasons. He came out to fix an issue with my garage door sensor wiring and took the time to walk me through exactly what was going on. What really impressed me was that he gave me the same honest recommendation his son did about eventually replacing the garage door for safety reasons--no pressure, no upselling, just straightforward advice. That kind of consistency says a lot about how this business is run. Beyond the work itself, he was just a genuinely kind person. We had a nice conversation while he was here, especially about family and how fast kids grow up after seeing me with my young daughter. You can tell he takes pride not only in his work, but in the business he's built and the values he's passed down. He fixed the issue quickly and professionally, and everything has been working perfectly since. It's rare to find a company that is this honest, respectful, and down-to-earth. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again, and I highly recommend them to anyone needing garage door work. read more

Spoke with Luis on the phone, who gave me an instant quote. He and his crew came right on time to take down the old and install the new garage door with new rails, springs and hardware. They finished in about 2.5 hours. In fact, the new door color matches my house better than the original color. The work was impeccable, as is the new door. I'm thoroughly impressed with Luis and his company. I highly recommend A Professional Garage Door Services to anyone looking to replace or repair their garage door. read more

The company has very competitive prices, the technicians are very helpful and know what they are doing. My garage was fixed same day within an hour of the inspection. He even gave me a Veteran discount and a can of their lubricant for the bearings. He showed me how to use it and how often to as well, which I appreciate. Prompt, Professional, and Honest. My garage door spring broke at 7 am. I called A Professional Garage Door Service at 1 pm. Service Techs meet me at my house at 2:30 pm. I called Luis after calling two other companies for an emergency service call. Those companies gave me outrageous rates to even show up on such short notice, Luis however did not only arrive very quickly, once onsite he quickly identified the problem which was an easy fix, and he didn't even charge me for the labor! He is a true gem: an honest and empathetic business owner who doesn't take advantage of his customers who don't know any better! read more

I reached out to this company @11 AM today and they were able to come out between 1-4PM same day. Called me before arriving and within 15-20 mins. Arrived as a team, in a very nice company vehicle and had my garage door fixed at a small cost! Very professional, informative and kind. See details below if interested. We lost power due to a pg&e issue with underground cables in my court.. which caused us to manually have to close garage. What I thought would be simple to get it working back on the track.. WAS NOT & could not fix it ourselves! I tried everything to do it myself, and they went above and beyond what was needed! Thank you, A Professional Garage Door Services! Will absolutely recommend and use you again in the future. read more

My garage door spring decided to snap in half on me this Saturday morning around 8:30am. I called APGDS at 8:40am, Luis and his son arrived by 10am. Luis evaluated the job right away and gave me a price and stuck to it. Luis was very professional, even handled my partially deaf (yelling) father-in-law very well. Luis is a true professional in his craft, very efficient (30 min job), and extremely knowledgeable. He didn't try to over-sell me on any extra products even though one of my garage door panels is slightly cracked. He corrected the hard shutting issue we were having, which I had no idea was even an issue. I would highly recommend his services to anyone in need of garage door services and repairs. My landlord had A Professional Garage Door Service replace panels on our garage because they are faulty and the garage door sounded like it would drop off the rails when you opened it. Luis did an amazing job replacing the panels and making some adjustments to make it like brand new. He also replaced a light bulb that had burned out quite awhile ago. Was looking for a professional to install my wall mount garage motor and add aprings came across Luis saw he had a lot of referrals and boy they weren't kidding he is the best in the business i talked to some installers and wanted to use their own stuff and was told what i had is cheap. Whatever. Until i talked to Luis made me feel like i bought the right motor and explained to me in detail of what he plans to do and replace if he had to but most importantly the estimate that he gave me was spot on if he had to change a part it's because its important or broken and has to be replaced but still won't break your wallet. P.S. I messed up the settings on my garage and the door collapsed he came in the next day (coz his attending his sons graduation but still took my call and scheduled an appointment) and fixed it in 20min. Half of my garage door was hanging out just wanted to elaborate on that. Totally my fault. Wasn't able to take pic of the collapse coz i was exhausted trying to fix it. He was still nice and explained how it happened. Learned my lesson never to touch a professionals work after. Would recommend and not use anyone else after this experience. read more

Luis was by far the best quote we received. He was also extremely professional and clearly cared about the quality of the doors and the job that he did. We had to attach a "dummy door" in front of one bay of our garage that was converted. They were able to figure out how to do it so you can't even tell. We had other companies refuse to even try. We could not give a higher recommendation. read more

Look no further for your garage door needs. I have an 8' 2 car garage door in my home & the cable came loose & broke a roller. My lift master opener & torsion springs are about 20 years old so after talking with Louis on the phone about options, I decided it was time to replace the opener, torsion springs, all the rollers & the cables. I've had my eye on the lift master 98022 side mount & that's exactly what Louis & Carlos installed. These guys are incredibly knowledgeable & discussed all my options & pricing upfront. These guys are super responsive & wasted no time getting the job done. They explained everything they were going to do & had the job done quickly & with quality. Incredible value & professionalism. What else can I say about this business that hasn't been said? Luis had done work on our house a number of years ago and service was top notch. Fast forward to December 2024 and my parents needed service. Luis answered right away and was able to schedule them for the following week (we called the day before Thanksgiving). He called Monday morning to give us an ETA and completed the job quickly. We highly recommend this business. If we have any future work, they will be our first and only call. read more

I had a RV garage door, cable off track and unable to open. Home warranty does not cover. I found A Professional Garage Door on Yelps with 5 Stars reviews and I decided to give them a try. Owner Luis responded fast, sent one specialist over for quote the same day. We received quotes for cable service and new garage door opener installation. Quote price was reasonable and able to install within two days. Ricardo came promptly at 8am. He sprayed, lubricated all parts carefully and installed the new garage door. Job done cleaned, fast and with perfection. Ricardo even set up all my garage remotes and I can open both garage doors with ease. Owner Luis came for inspection and made sure I am happy with the service. Yes. my husband and I both very pleased. Job well done and definitely be recommended. read more

After requesting an estimate to repair a garage door cable, the Diamond Certified company's rep tried to convince me I needed two entire new doors for thousands of dollars. Instead, I searched for a local company and found Luis of A Professional Garage Door. He checked out the garage door, confirmed the problem could be solved by replacing the cable, gave me an extremely fair price and would have done the work right then, had I been available to approve the estimate. Another time was scheduled quickly, and he replaced the cable. He also noticed a broken hinge which he replaced and provided brand new weather stripping as the existing one was worn out. He refused to accept additional payment for the latter two items. Luis is professional, efficient, honest, and kind. Please call him first if you have issues with your garage door. read more

I highly recommend this business. A nail came off our garage door and we needed it fixed urgently. Luis responded quickly and the next day, we had a brand new garage door. His service was professional. He completed everything in less than 2 hours. I trusted his quote, he provided affordable services and everything worked very smoothly. He even went above and beyond to help us push our dead car back into the garage when the service was done AND fixed our garage door opener which he noticed was installed improperly by a different company. I wish I had known about Luis first, and will definitely be contacting again if I need anything else. read more

Absolutely recommend using this company! They are so quick, efficient, and friendly. The springs on my garage door snapped and they were at my house within 36 hours of calling them.
