I've been coming here for over a year and always trusted Manny with my hair. About two months before this appointment, I came in for my usual haircut without realizing Manny wasn't there. Another stylist cut my hair instead, and I was extremely unhappy with the results. I called the salon afterward to express how disappointed I was because my hair wasn't what I had asked for. Because Manny had always done a great job for me in the past, I scheduled another appointment specifically with him, hoping he could fix what had happened. Instead, I left feeling even worse. I only asked for my usual curtain bang trim. Instead, multiple professional hairstylists have since told me that what I received is a straight bang, not a curtain bang. They also pointed out that the bangs are uneven, don't frame my face correctly, are much too thick, and that hair from farther back on my head was pulled forward and cut into the bangs, making them far heavier than they should be. This completely changed the hairstyle I had spent so long growing out. I create content for a living, and my appearance is a major part of my work and how I pay my bills. This haircut has seriously affected my confidence and made it difficult for me to create the content I normally do because I no longer feel like myself. I even went to another local salon for a second opinion, and they confirmed the issues with the haircut and explained that there isn't an easy fix without waiting months for my hair to grow back. To the salon's credit, they did refund me after I reached out, and I appreciate that. However, a refund doesn't give me my hair back or undo the time it will take to grow it out. After everything that happened, I honestly walked away feeling like my concerns weren't taken seriously. I can't say why the haircut turned out the way it did, but after my previous complaint about the first bad haircut, it's hard not to wonder whether that played a role. I truly hope that's not the case, but it's how this experience left me feeling. I never expected to leave a negative review after trusting this salon for over a year. I had gotten a cut here in January and I keep up with my cuts every three months I decided to try this place in January I liked the haircut but my hair was thinning after this cut. I went again in April and I noticed after she was done that she used thinning shears which is okay but I went to dye it after somewhere else and you can see how bad the cut was let me show you. Even if you have something post that the owner doesn't agree, she'll try to blast your comment out stating that it's your fault or you lying. I'm assuming all the positive reviews is all the fake reviews. Update: Yes, giving you a bad review will either change how you do business. Apparently you don't look at the analytics from Yelp, since most of your bad reviews are from these couple of months/this year. I should have looked at the recent reviews as they are terrible... Showed up for our 6PM appointment for our kids haircut before he starts school. Showed up at 5:55 and owner asked if we had a appointment and we said yes at 6PM. We watched as the owner finished up a girls haircut thinking my son would be next. There was this other lady doing a men's haircut. The owner started cleaning and we thought we would be next. So we were waiting and waiting and waiting. It was now 6:25 and nobody said a word to us so we told them we were leaving. The owner said oh sorry she is behind. I went in today for a haircut (a trim, as I repeatedly said) with Danielle. It was my first time here. The staff was nice and the salon looked great. I repeated at least 15 times that I wanted to keep my length and that I just wanted a trim. Danielle kept reassuring me that she was only cutting off a little. I get home, blow dry my hair and half my hair is gone. In the picture I am attaching, my finger shows how long my hair was this morning & then you see how short it was after my cut. I picked this salon because of their COVID compliant policy's. They are currently taking appointments only, you must wait in your car. When you enter your temperature is checked, you're asked to wash your hands and given a throw away cape. I got there around 630 and there were two people ahead of me, Minh was kind enough to take me in as the last client. Not only was she professional but also SO easy to converse with. I wanted my warm Mom&Pop experience back. I was quite pleased with the fast and favorable results I got with mighty lil' Modesto Cuts at the strip mall corner of Prescott and Rumble Roads. I went here today to get a color correction from the owner Minh. I had a lot of growth and tried to dye my own hair at home and it came out pretty uneven and brassy. Minh quoted me for 3-4 hours of color correction and got to work (her quote was completely accurate and she finished in 3.5 hours). She is extremely precise with her color skill. I moved to Modesto not too long ago and desperately needed a haircut after giving birth. I called for an appointment and they were able to accommodate me the same day. Donna was my stylist and listened to my request of a 1/4 inch trim on dry hair, since my hair is wavy/ curly it shrinks up more when it's cut wet. I had my hair colored there. the gal didn't wipe off the excess dye on both sides of my face because she thought it would ruin my makeup. Instead, she wiped on more hair color on both sides of my face, stating it would be easier to come off. I was horrified when I looked at the mirror inside my vehicle.
