I began receiving eyelash extensions from Jolie in early September after my nail tech at Tina's Nails said how great Jolie was. I have thick, very curly lashes and I have a difficult time wearing false lashes because my own curly lashes tend to lift them up. I began receiving extensions from Jolie every two weeks. During the first few visits Jolie installed soft natural looking lashes that blended very well with mine. After a while the quality of her lashes changed. The lashes were obviously fake. They were very thick and stiff. By early November the extensions started coming off in clumps. At first I thought Jolie was also using a different glue, because poor quality glue and poor quality extensions will obviously not last. I asked Jolie about the quality during a mid November visit. Jolie doesn't speak English and her daughter interprets for her. She gave a non-response and her daughter walked away. Jolie installed the same low quality lashes. Within 2 days the extensions were coming off in clumps. There were visible "empty" spots on both eyes. As I looked at one of the empty areas I noticed my own lashes were SUPER short. I want to emphasize this: My lashes WERE NOT SPARSE OR BARE. They were all the same REALLY SHORT LENGTH. My first thought was, "Why would she cut my lashes and not tell me?" If she couldn't install extensions on curly lashes she should have explained her process. Just to be absolutely sure I texted Jolie and asked, "When you were installing my extensions, did you cut my natural lashes?" Jolie responded, "No, we never cut any lashes because our job is to remove the old extensions (this never happened. She would put new extensions on top of the old ones.), and put on new ones. So we don't cut your real eyelashes." When I explained what I was seeing on my eyes Jolie then said, "Dear Customer, it's because your lashes were "unhealthy". Apparently, unhealthy lashes trim themselves evenly across both eyes. The funny thing is my eyelashes have now fully grown out since I've stopped going to Jolie. Again, there was never any thinning of the lashes, only shortening. I try not to leave reviews when I'm angry because I want to be fair to the business while letting cooler heads prevail. The last text message I sent to Jolie was in November. I will never do business with Jolie again. Her lack of accountability and low quality installment service is horrible. All she had to do was own up to cutting my lashes and agree to use quality products moving forward. I cannot stand people who cannot stand on their own business. I am also now soured in regards to the nail shop where Jolie is located. The ladies are nice, but a business owner should be careful who they allow to do business in their shop, because Jolie's shoddy business practices can be seen as a reflection of the larger business. read more

Awful place. She cancelled on me then requested I pay for more because my next day off was 4 days later. I work 3 days in a row sometimes 6 horrible attitude. And when I started going there a year ago it was 55 cash or charge now it's 75 cash only and her attitude is awful and mean! read more

It is horrible morning right now. I went to the shop with morning appt. She had a customer before me and I went inside the room after waiting 20 min. While I was filling out the form she called her husband to translate what she wants to say to me. She doesn't speak English at all. Ok. Eventually she rejected me because I sneezed a couple of times and she suspected me as a person who has Corona virus infection. What a ridiculous situation. I explained I don't have any symptoms of flu and no allergies at all but she didn't want to provide the service to me. Even other customers who were there didn't really understand how she thought and that much cautious on the virus. How come she works?? Sneezing a couple times doesn't mean that I have flu or Corona virus!!!! Anyone can sneeze at any time. After we argued, she accepted me but I already felt so bad and I didn't want her. I asked the paper that I filled out my personal information back. She said no and ripped off the paper in front of me. CRAZY LADY. SHE DIDN'T EVEN SAY SORRY TO ME HOW THIS HAPPEN. and her obsession of virus is ridiculously crazy. I don't know why she is working to see people. Jolie does an excellent job with my eye lashes! She uses good quality on the eye lash extensions, does an exceptional job on customer service, and makes sure that every strand is on to perfection. She is an amazing lash artist! I felt completely relaxed while getting my beautiful fluffy lashes. She understood exactly what I wanted and delivered. Jolie is kind and so pretty. She doesn't speak much English but is patient so please show her the same kindness and patience. I got medium volume lashes and they survived the Las Vegas heat and a few swim sessions. I'll be be back to get a fill in about 2.5-3 weeks. I've hardly lost any lashes in the mean time and my eyes are not irritated at all. I literally wake up looking like a doll. Very disappointed with my lashes. Her first set was great, but when I went in for a fill, she did them very thin and not even. I wanted the same (cat eye) they looked so thin and ugly. I asked why they were different she said they could be falling out fast because of things I'm doing ‍ so disappointed in this service. And she won't fix her mistakes. I've gotten my lashes done at many places in Modesto and never have I had a better experience during the process and the result of having them on for weeks! They feel like your natural lashes when you feel them and they're not stiff to the touch like other places I've been to. Jolie is very attentive towards you and does whatever she can to make you feel more comfortable during the process, she even puts on this amazing smelling hand sanitizer right before she does your lashes and her hands smell so good during the whole 1 1/2 hours she did mine. It feels like an aromatherapy session too lol!! With proper care, I've had my last fill appt 3 1/2 weeks ago and they still looked bomb! Ive so glad I've found her because I'm picky when it comes to self care and especially when you're paying so she's worth every penny of mine.
