They gave me a quote in Spring 2016 and due to a family responsibility, it caused me to push the project to 2017. Out of five quotes he was one of two people who came back out to requote the job. He was the only contractor that sent me a quote when he said he would and showed up on time. Pat and his guys came out and removed all the old debris from my attic and installed spray foam. He even went up and above the original plan and resealed our heating ducts and foamed around our light fixtures and air vents to seal them completely. It's only been about a month so I can't yet speak to the cost savings but I can tell you that we have been able to turn our thermostat up 6 degrees and it's still pretty cold in the house. They also installed a whole house surge protector, which is something my husband has wanted for a while. We are very happy with our decision to use Attic Dr.

Pat stopped by, and I was immediately taken by how passionate he was about the foam technology - a solution I was secretly leaning toward from my own studies. What he said resonated with what I read. Plus, I loved to work with people who are passionate about what they do. Verbal agreement reached. Pat had to delay the scheduled work a couple of times due to jobs at hand, and he had a even bigger job starting right after mine. I got concerned. By the time his team got to me, they had exactly one day to finish the job. I worried if the work quality might suffer. Pat and his team showed up on time in the morning. By the time I got home from work in the afternoon, they were done. I inspected the area, not only did they vacuum the old fiberglass as agreed, and foamed the whole vaulted ceiling, sealing every nook and cranny, they also fixed a major leak in my duct work, and foamed my AC return air plenums to keep from energy loss (duct work was not in the agreement). Ernest, one of the guys climbed under both of my fake gables to reach the real ceiling above them to foam it (I didn't even know about the hidden ceiling). All three of the guys had to have pushed hard to get so much done in one day - and then some. A big smile on Pat's face told me he was proud of what they did. It's been a couple of weeks now, and for the first time since I bought the house, I felt warm air coming out of the vent during 40 degree nights outside. The air was able to reach the 72-75 range I set, and actually stopped blowing regularly throughout the night. I think Pat's foaming of the plenums helped too. How fantastic. My word of advice is be patient, do your own research about the technologies, and work with the right contractors. The ones who responded first did not have my best interest at heart - promoting solutions that were not the best for me simply because that's what they carried. Phone tagging and delays I can handle - that's part of working with people. But when you find those guys who are passionate about getting things done right, stick with them. I'd recommend Pat, Ronnie, and Ernest to everyone (I think it was Ronnie).

I would definitely do this again as our house is so much more comfortable and we are using less energy! My only disappointment is the interior walls. We had Payless blow insulation into the interior walls to help reduce the noise between rooms. It didn't work as well as I hoped. We probably should have installed QuietRock in addition or instead of the interior insulation.

Another reason we've stuck with VanRossun is because unlike other contractors we've worked with or gotten bids from, Clint is a good open communicator about the budget. He's been great about sitting down with us and pricing things out, and then we can sort of trim from there to get what we really need out of our budget. HVAC person came, opened the door to the inside unit - and said "change the filter" - filter that was just changed a few day ago. Then he looked into our temperature screen that wasn't showing temperature we set it to be and basically said: "it's fine". We were in shock. If that's what it takes to be HVAC master in this company - maybe we should all apply. So far, it's $99 for standard dispatch fee. And $208 for "minor troubleshooting or diagnostic on specific part of the system" as states on the receipt. - so I guess looking at the screen and toward direction of the filter cost us $208! We were absolutely confused how we are paying for diagnostic and person didn't even go outside to look at our outside unit. Asked him to do that - got hit with $612 more dollars. So $919.08 and our issues wasn't even fixed, it was "diagnosed". After that we were provided with option change the part ("the cheapest option" for $3110.92, when apparently this part costs $400 everywhere else. Or change outside unit completely to some old-technology unit for 7869.56 just because it's not "new". In comparison, we could've change a whole AC system for cheaper and better units.

They took the time to properly diagnose a difficult water leak underneath the slab and explained what they found and what needed to be done. Rather than just putting a temporary fix in place, they rerouted the hot water lines to service half of the house and replaced the water heater.
