EnviroTek exceeded my expectations in every way. A deck is a major expense and there are a lot of pieces involved -- design, materials, engineering, permits, inspections and construction. Before choosing EnviroTek, I got three bids. Some of the other proposals were extremely expensive, and it wasn't always clear who would actually be doing the work or how much would be subcontracted. EnviroTek was different from the beginning. Sammy, the proprietor, was straightforward, responsive, organized and very easy to work with. He never pressured me or tried to upsell me. His proposal was clear, his pricing was reasonable, and I always knew what I was paying for. There were no unpleasant surprises with the cost and Sammy was always upfront whenever a decision needed to be made. Sammy uses his own crew and has worked with them for years. They showed up every day, worked incredibly hard and clearly took pride in doing the job well. Even my neighbors commented on how impressed they were with them and how consistently they worked. My home is in an HOA, so I couldn't get too creative with the design and everything had to fit the existing architectural style. Even with those limitations, the finished decks and walkway came out beautifully and I am extremely happy with the result. The work was done cleanly and properly and we passed every inspection without any problems.  I was away for a good part of the construction, which could easily have made a project like this stressful, but it wasn't. Sammy kept me updated, regularly sent photos and let me know how things were progressing. I never had to chase anyone down or wonder what was going on. I felt completely comfortable having the work continue while I was away because I knew they cared about my house and were going to do things the right way. And look -- that could have gone sideways real fast. Like, real fast. It didn't. Thank God. Here's the thing about this crew -- and I mean every single person who showed up -- they were just genuinely friendly. Not "we want your money" friendly. Actually friendly. The kind where you don't mind them being at your house for weeks. And on top of being friendly, they actually knew what they were talking about. I asked a lot of questions. Probably too many. Nobody fumbled. Nobody gave me the blank stare. Nobody redirected me to someone else. Just straight, confident answers from people who clearly know their craft. That goes for the construction crew, the painters, and the membrane repair team. All of them. Damn consistent across the board. Now -- I'll be real with you. Their quote came in a little higher than some of the other estimates we were getting. And yeah, I side-eyed it a little at first. But here's the thing -- the other quotes were coming from general contractors. And with something like this, I didn't want a generalist. I wanted a team that actually specializes in this kind of work. And that's exactly what I got. So honestly, the higher quote made complete sense once I thought about it. Gerald from RB Fence came to look at the job and provide an estimate. His quote was very detailed, much more so than any of the others we received, and it was the only quote to include a Split Invoice Addendum form for dividing the cost with our neighbor, enabling us each to pay separately and having the amount of each share clearly documented. (This was particularly important because we agreed on an uneven split.) RB Fence was the only quote that came this way, and it really was a selling point, because it made things easier for us. On the day the work was to be done, the crew arrived on time and immediately got to work. We were surprised by how quickly they got the old fence down and the new one up. We had a very large project that included our Front, Side, and sloping back yard. My wife and I, like a lot of couples I'm certain, have design paralysis with that "I don't know, what do you want?" going back and forth with each other endlessly. Octavio has a great eye, and countless times he broke our deadlock saying, "How about this? I think this would look really nice" and when we followed his suggestions we ended up being incredibly happy with the result! That's a huge benefit that you can't put value on, because it keeps a project moving forward with minimal stress. Whenever we had questions, he always replied to our texts instantly, and one of the things I really appreciated about his company is that we never had to line up any of our own specialty contractors (electrical, plumbing etc) to do work. He has every discipline covered and coordinates the scheduling of all of that. I've worked with contractors before where they would inform you they didn't do a type of work and we would have to contract that effort separately. Octavio is not like that and he'll coordinate it all according to how you'd like it to look, or be done. Big thumbs up on that! Payment schedules are very clearly explained and documented. Our project included payments in "phases of work" down payment, forms completed, rebar completed, Completed concrete, electrical and irrigation/plants completed, final approval completed etc. and there was flexibility in the schedule if we wished, which made it much easier at one point while we were travelling. He's very open to discussing whatever makes things go smoothly. We loved how he gave us a lot of help particularly with trees/plants (types, locations) Octavio is very knowledgeable in that area and we were very pleased when he met us at the nursery multiple times to show and help us select plants and trees. His work crews were always very friendly, hard working and meticulous, and he checked in on them constantly to make sure everything was going according to plan. It's very obvious that he wants to make sure there are no surprises, and that work is progressing according to schedule and plans. It was a great pleasure having Octavio and Pacific Premiere Landscaping transform our home! We would use him again without question and in fact have several other projects in the immediate future that we're in the process of discussing. A lot of people will search hard for the lowest price (I would estimate that Octavio's prices are not the "cheapest", but they are much more than fair, and I would argue that there is a HUGE difference between "lowest price" and "value"; that being the quality and experience of the work done for the money spent, and with that in mind, Pacific Premiere is a tremendous value! They completed this in roughly 8 hours. Fast forward to today and they've just replaced our rear fence (50'). This project required larger kickboards to account for a sloping grade, ivy root removal, and an unwilling neighbor. They guided me through all aspects of the project, neighbor situation, and seamlessly matched the design, height, and flow into our side fence lines. Completed in roughly 6 hours.
