The fence along with the wooden steps took constant upkeep with painting and replacement of boards. At my age, I no longer had the energy to maintain the structure. We used ARP for a bluestone walkway, and to demo and replace our concrete driveway. They did a great job, were fairly priced, and brought a huge team that moved super fast. Alex was also very communicative, and they didn't nickel-and-dime when we added minor things here or there. So we also ended up hiring them to finish our firepit. They did a great job, and the worker on that had a real love of the craft. My big regret is that we didn't use ARP for our entire landscaping project. Half my driveway was dirt and the part that had concrete had asphalt on the side walk that did not descend evenly to the main road. I had ARP Hardscape fill concrete to match the other half and add asphalt to slope down to the main road so that I wouldn't need rubber lifts. They provided one of the two best quotes. But I decided to go with them because Alex the owner was thoughtful about the other aspects of the situation. He suggested to put in a drain under the concrete to fully connect roof drain. After removing enough dirt they found more hard concrete under the dirt so they couldn't put in the drain. His suggestions were thoughtful and he subtracted the cost of the pipes. read more

The ARP Hardscape team did an amazing job of bringing our landscape design (which involved demolition, concrete, shed, and pergola woodwork) to fruition!  We interviewed a few different companies, and we found Alex through our neighbor.  They were readily available, quick and very professional. There were three major parts of our project. - Demolition - we had a bamboo grove and they brought in a bobcat and dug through the earth to pull out all the bamboo rhizomes.  This was a tough project to tackle and we are happy they took the time to prep properly. - Concrete pour/stamping - We are very happy with the new backyard.  Again, they pay attention to details and created an amazing living space. - Shed/Pergola - We debated between a pre-fab unit from a big box store versus a custom shed.  We saw a photo of their work and decided to have everything done at once.  We are so happy we went with them.  The quality of the construction and materials far exceeds the pre-fab units. A few months ago, my husband and I contacted Alex in order to get a quote for our entire front yard, which included the following (might be missing a few here): - Installation of new pavers (for driveway, pathway + stairs) - Installation of new fence - Production & Installation of new railings - New irrigation system - Planting of 65+ plants, which included adding dirt, layers of weed cloth, adding mulch - New pathway with decomposed granite that snaked through our yard As of late November, the project has been completed. Alex was great to work with. He is very knowledgeable about concrete work and drainage systems. Due to drainage issues during heavy rains at my parent's house. I decided to get bids to possibly resolve these issues. I had my property landscaped 2 years ago, but the ugly sidewalk remained. I was looking for someone to redo that, upgrade the stairs in the backyard, and re-sand and re-seal the pavers that were installed with the original landscaping job. Did a good job of placing cement on the sides of my house. But had to constantly cancel and reschedule appointments. Initially scheduled for Wednesday 6/3/20, but had to cancel 1 day prior to placing the cement and asked to reschedule a week later since they were behind on projects. I had taken the day off work for this appointment. Followed up with them a week later and stated they will try to be there Friday 6/12/20, but requested if I can reschedule and wait until Monday if they don't finish another project. They eventually came Saturday 6/13/20. Since they did a good job on the cement, I requested a quote for artificial turf, agreed to meet today (Saturday 8/15/20), they canceled 20 minutes prior to agreed on appointment. My parents drove out to my house 45 minutes away to meet him, since I was at work, but he could not show. Also, a drain cover was not placed on one of the open areas of the cement. Cement was placed on 6/13/20, sent up follow up texts and emails for one, and stated it would be placed. 2 months later there is still none. Cement was good, but lack of keeping agreed on appointments and constant rescheduling caused a 3 star review. read more

I hired Alex, at ARP Hardscape to replace my cement staircases and also do other miscellaneous repairs. One of the jobs was to replace the sprinklers which I thought included replacing the mechanism and all pipes. His crew installed the sprinkler going up the hill. I made several requests that the s[rinkler should be from the top to bottom, watering the entire yard. He ignored fixing the sprinkler system and left the job.
