    Old foundation

Claycon Developers made my project fast. I had problems with my rear foundation. My back yard was just completed the concrete for patio. Clayton helped design the foundation and recommended to open up the flooring inside the house since I was remodeling anyways instead of digging and breaking the newly concreted back yard. The job was done in less than a week after the city permit. Clayton has a great experience and advance planning to keep your project moving ahead of the schedule. Claycon Developers is very fair in pricing. I recommend Claycon Developers to any project as my experience was wonderful and less stress on my end. He is licensed both A and B. The job was done way above the engineer planning and added extra supports to make this foundation last of the life of the entire house. I am glad I went to this engineering company and designs rather than going to concrete company. Clayton knows the job. He is honest and his employees are as well.

Don't be fooled by the tagline that focuses on concrete- Clayton is a great GC and his crew is capable of the whole shebang- I installed a tuff shed office in my backyard and hired them to not only demolish and rebuild another tool shed, but they also finished out the office with drywall, electrical, hardwood flooring, finishing, etc. It is a fabulous ADU that came together within a few weeks! Clayton is very fair priced, and he is professional, down to earth, and is going to help you find the most reasonable solutions to the challenges you face. For instance, he helped us split the electrical so that the heater would not trip the the breaker without spending a ton of extra cash. I will not hesitate to use them again- his whole crew was COVID safe and responsible. I trust them. THANKS, Clayton!

Clayton is a pro. Great communication, and quality work. He rebuilt our foundation to add 400sf of living area, and his team remodeled down there beautifully. They also repiped all the plumbing with brand new copper. Very professional and also very friendly!

I would have given ZERO stars. Don't trust their overall YELP rating. I made that mistake. I feel…read morethe finished work (driveway, pathways, and wall) are reasonably acceptable. This is ONLY because we checked daily work and instructed them to fix mistakes and sloppy work. They spent a lot of their time redoing what should have been completed right the first time. Daily progress (or lack there of) showed us that the owner/project manager (Tevita/Mata) is not a good project manager nor that he gave his crew clear direction on this project. The process after contract signing was horrible...not at all professional. The project took much longer than Tevita initially quoted (over 2 months vs the 2 weeks he originally told us). This resulted in change orders and cost overruns. He also tried to charge me to fix their breakage/mistakes/errors (e.g., fixing the sidewalk his workers broke). His crew was not respectful of our property (we had to live with their mess...it's not a vacant lot). They did not regularly clean up the work site nor organize equipment and materials left onsite. Seeing their lunch garbage (cans, bottles, wrappers, etc.) at the end of their workday was common. This continued even after repeated complaints to Tevita and to his crew. No one on site could to provide straight answers as to that day's work or when specific project goals would be completed. Whenever I would spoke with him, Tevita made excuses, provided misinformation, denied deliverables he previously promised, and deflected from answering direct questions. He has a habit of talking over the customer when asked questions he doesn't like. On at least one occasion, he raised his voice and started yelling to avoid answering questions. If it was not in writing, he'd say it wasn't what we discussed. I have never had such issues when working with professional/reputable companies. Tevita and his crew failed to meet every single deliverable date he set. I found him very difficult to work with. I feel that he does not show proper respect to the customer. Instead he appears to think that the customer, the person paying him, should accept subpar work. I suspect that he may also not fully understand the processes involved with the work being performed. I feel that Tevita and Lamata Concrete are not professional. They didn't use professional equipment and they didn't manage the job site or their onsite work time professionally. Their workers typically started late morning and were gone by early afternoon. Lamata Concrete has major logistical problems. They couldn't get an adequately-sized crew or required materials to the job site at the start of any given day, typically interrupting workflow for hours to go fetch supplies. Had they staged materials and tools at the worksite (where there was ample area to store all materials needed for the entire project) and had his crew worked a full 8 hours per day at the job site, I believe they could have finished weeks ago. They are SLOW...3 weeks for a stamped concrete driveway and pathways. I definitely CANNOT recommend them for a cinder block wall. It took way too long (over 2 months) to complete. I feel like they have never built this type of wall. I regret hiring Lamata Concrete. I CANNOT recommend Lamata Concrete nor would I use them again. They were such a hassle to work with compared to the many other professional/reputable companies I have hired. My opinion...take their negative YELP reviews seriously and ask for references and talk to those references. Tevita's response is a great example of how he makes excuses, provides misinformation, denies promised deliverables, and deflects from addressing the real issue. I find it a bit childish and very unprofessional.

After reading all the positive reviews, I called Leyva Concrete and spoke with Alfredo. He came out, looked at the space and we talked through the process. I made adjustments to the original scope of work, and Alfredo was super-accommodating. His team finished the excavation work that I started, then prepped for the concrete pour. These guys know exactly what they're doing, taking care with the surface finishing and all the cleanup. True craftsmen. I'm so glad I went with the professionals. They're prompt, the communication is great and quality of work is exceptional. Alfredo and this Team at Leyva Concrete are truly amazing!

Alfredo was easy to talk to and was able to answer all of my questions. The quote that he gave me was very competitive and he explained what all the quote entailed. Some of his competitors called me and asked for the dimensions of the work so they could send me a quote. Anyone who chooses to use those vendors is taking the huge risk of getting an incomplete or inaccurate quote because there can be nuances that professionals may recognize that the "typical" homeowner would not. We ended up not using Leyva or any of the other Concrete companies because my wife decided that she liked the idea of framing our concrete driveway with paver stones.

NAB removed all the bad concrete and replaced it with pavers, and on the other side of the court, they added 5 feet of concrete where we had lawn, as well as adding to our existing retaining wall. After the pavers were installed, I noticed something not to my preference with the paver layout. I contacted Nick, our site manager from NAB, and he was very responsive, and arranged for Nate (the company president) to come out right away and discuss the matter, which was resolved that same day to my complete satisfaction. Nick also was happy to arrange for a few other small tasks related to bricks and concrete on our property to be taken care of, and they were - at no added cost. NAB construction was not the lowest bid we got for this work, but I have learned the hard way that going with the lowest price is not always a great idea, and I am glad I went with NAB for this project. I'm very satisfied with the results of this project, and would not hesitate to recommend NAB construction to others.

We wanted a walkway installed so we went back but this time we dealt with someone by the name of Nick Vard. He was very unprofessional and used the terms "outside the scope of work" and asked us to make a "commitment" several times. I went to Brickyard on a Saturday at 8AM per the direction of Nick but when I called him about our selection he never called me back. He blamed us and said they lost money on the job because it took longer than expected. He tried to convince me to use a brick I did not like. And the biggest disappointment was the drainage that they left unfinished. We spent almost $10k but we feel like the job is incomplete. Wish we could recommend them but if they continue working with Nick Vard you should stay away.
