I have trouble walking and the curb in front is very hard for me to get up. Had to push my self off my car to get up. When I got inside and gave the gentleman behind the counter my dry cleaning he walked me out to my car and helped me down the curb. Have used them many times, and will continue to. If I could leave 10 stars I would! Brought in laundry I needed washed and folded in the afternoon last minute. Not only was all the laundry fresh and perfectly folded, but they stayed past close to ensure my laundry was finished that day! Extremely friendly staff as well! Ryan and his team at Modern Cleaners are the best in the entire Northstate! Ryan's a cleaner's cleaner - the guy other dry cleaners call when they need a difficult job done well. He's reasonably priced, impeccable services for cleaning everything from clothes to bedding, drapes, and in my case some wool rugs that needed special handling. I have pretty high expectations in general but Ryan exceeded all of them! My rugs came back pristine! I'm deeply impressed with his professionalism and dedication to his craft! He is a master! I wouldn't hesitate to mail things to him to clean! He's also a great communicator - told me the difficulties of cleaning these rugs and how they are different from the usual ones he cleans, how to care and maintain them, etc. He's a gem! Just started bringing my suits in as I recently moved to Red Bluff and Mike and staff have been amazing helping me w alterations and fixing an error of mine at no charge (I didn't know blazer lapels weren't pressed w a crease unless requested when they came uncreased as this was the first blazer I had ever bought that didn't have a creased lapel) and they took it back and pressed it to a crease at no charge. They've always got a smile and a kind word and have made me feel like family even though I'm new in town. Couldn't say more about the awesome staff and how they've treated me. This is the only cleaner I go to. I hadn't gone to a dry cleaner for at least a decade after moving out this way due to how expensive cleaners are in the bay area. I didn't know that there was such a thing as an inexpensive cleaner. Where I'm from, San Mateo county, the average blouse would cost $20 to $30 to do just a simple hem, and probably 10 to $20 to do just a simple dry clean with nothing special. I decided on Modern cleaners, however, because maybe 3 years ago I needed a rug cleaned. It wasn't large, but it was too large for the average washing machine. I called a cleaner near Raley's in Red Bluff, gave them the dimensions, and they said they had the capacity to clean it and to bring it on over. I was there within about 20 minutes with the rug, and they told me it's too big. I asked why they told me I could bring it over, and then after I gave them the dimensions over the phone, they had no idea. They didn't even know who I spoke to. There were only two women there, and only one was in charge of the phone, and that's who I was face to face with. So I had to do a quick search, so I didn't waste my time lugging this thing around and found Modern cleaners. Not only did they clean it beautifully, but it was so cheap. I actually had to confirm I heard them right when I went to go pick it up days later. Since then, I've used them for everything I need dry cleaned, which isn't much. Usually, I am brining atypical things to dry clean, such as cat beds , vintage handbags, and such . It's almost never I need clothing dry cleaned , but I'm sure they do that amazingly and inexpensively as well. I probably go there no more than twice a year, but each time, I am always shocked how cheap it is. Literally nowhere that I give my money to, am I shocked it out cheap it is. The owner is very nice, personable, and always gives me an amazing deal. It is helpful they are open till 5:30 p.m. since I'm not done working till 5:00 p.m., and I live 20 minutes away. So when I get there I'm just getting there right before they close every time, but most cleaners close before people are done working, which is incredibly stupid and counterproductive since not everyone has a luxury to take time off of work to go to go to a dry cleaners! The extra best part is that no matter what, you can always park right in front. read more

DO NOT BRING IN STRAPLESS GARMENTS!! I brought in my wedding dress (on the dress hanger, btw) and when I picked it up they had hung it on one of the cheap metal hangers. Since the wire hangers can't hold the 'hanging straps' built in to the dress THEY SHOVED SAFETY PINS THROUGH MY WEDDING DRESS. The entire weight of the dress was on these two pins. When I called and spoke to a "Mike" he said that was how they did things and "they'd been in the business a long time." Of note, it was pressed nicely, it just now has holes in it and apparently this is how they handle all strapless dresses. read more

Very helpful and friendly. They do a great job too, usually they are able to get stains out of my clothing.

Brought in a down comforter and two shirts. I asked the service to be rushed and they did a great job. However the girl at the front desk was rude, unhelpful and told us that the shirts weren't done and they weren't supposed to be picked up tomorrow. We asked if she could double check despite what the computer said because we specifically asked for pickup today. She acted like it was an outrageous request and as she walked away to go look, or pretend to look, I saw the shirts two feet away so I called her back and pointed them out. Done tags on, stain free so she grabbed them tossed them on the counter and rang us up without a sorry or smile or anything. As someone who's worked customer service for four years it blows my mind. You're being paid to be nice and you still can't do it? With unemployment where it's at, they could find a decent person for the front desk. read more

We recently had our carpet cleaned and were very pleased with the service. They showed up right on time, did a great job and spent a lot of time in the heavy traffic areas and any pet stained areas, all for the price quoted. They used a powerful truck mounted unit and the cleaning products that left a pleasant smell in the house. We will definitely use them again. read more

I have been coming to get my comforter dry cleaned here for over a year and let me just tell you, not only are the owners SO NICE but so are all of the staff. One time I got my comforter cleaned and literally the next day my dog jumped all over my bed and got my nice clean (white) comforter all dirty!!! Ryan the owner offered to reclean it for me for free. So not only is the customer service and hospitality through the roof, but they always get my comforter so clean and perfect every time! I went and got my sweater hemmed a few weeks ago (did you know they have a tailor there?) I sure didn't! And she did such a great job! Exactly what I asked for. I just dropped off my bridesmaid dress to get pressed before the wedding this weekend, and even though I dropped it off last minute they went out of their way to get it back to me within a few hours so it would be ready. 5 stars for this business who has been in red bluff for over 50 years!!!
