My car was towed to this shop against my instruction to tow it to my body shop of my choice. They work with tow truck drivers to receive cars and charge for storage and tow fees. The people that answer the phones are nasty. The tow tow truck drivers prey on distraught people after accidents and send their cars to this shop. read more

My car was towed to their lot on a Friday they deliberately kept my car over the weekend to over charge me in "storage fees" which is according to Peter. Peter is very unprofessional he basically told me they rip off insurance companies by adding fees onto your bill read more

All I can say is that this place is the best! Up front and honest, our car looks great. A drunk driver hit us, and did a lot of damage to our 2016 Nissan. My car has been there for six weeks after it was towed following a relatively minor accident in downtown Philly. Still NO word on estimated repair date or amount. Do not let this company tow your car from an accident site in Philly. They will be first on the scene but don't be fooled by their apparent good service on the scene. It won't last. Whomever gave this establishment more than one star are just as dishonest as the people that work there! Kelly is a horrible liar. It's been 5 months and my vehicle still not repaired. The check from my insurance company has been cashed months ago! She makes promises that are never kept. While there on two separate occasions an unsatisfied customer was in the lobby complaining about the service! I should have read reviews prior to using their service. If you're reading this, please save yourself from the headache and frustration. The people working the front come off as very kind and compassionate, however it's all a hoax to get your business. Their service is awful! They kept my car for two months for a minor fender bender and when I got my car back I had scratches and small dents that were not there when I dropped my car off. The lot where they hold your car anyone can walk through and cars are tightly packed together. They also did not complete the job. They replaced my front bumper, but left my grill still cracked. I have been calling them for months to at least get them to replace my grill and I keep getting the run around. It's extremely frustrating! I will NEVER recommend them to anyone! Specifically asked if I would have to pay for the two and was informed that I did not have to. One day later I call to check in and now I have to pay $400 to get my cosmetics damage car back. KEEP AWAY - Shady as they come. Towed my vehicle to their shop after a minor accident. Manager Pete was all friendly until I told him I was taking it to another body shop that I was familiar with. My wife stopped by to sign so they could release it to the tow driver and he gave her a hard time. Then after I talked to him on the phone, he said all was OK. He told both my wife in person and me on the phone that there were no further charges and it was good be picked up. The the next day when I called to let them know the tow was on the way Pete suddenly decided I owed him $950 for towing my vehicle 50 yards and storing it for 3 days - all because he was pissed off that I did not give him my business. Even the towing company I used to move the car warned me as soon as I told them where to pick up that they are completely shady. Now that my vehicle has been retrieved, it appears they may have intentionally damaged it further - there is damage that was not there after the accident. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. As stated in another review....My car was towed there after an accident in Center City and they have been nothing but a hassle to deal with. They made paperwork a nightmare and even gave my insurance company hassle when trying to remove my vehicle from their lot, after I granted the insurance company permission. They definitely seem to want the astronomical fees for as long as they can obtain them. Unfortunately for me, my accident was on a Thursday night and they would not release my car on Friday even after all paperwork was accounted for. It's bad when an auto insurance company knows a specific wreck yard due to their inability to be easy to work with. If I, or anyone I know, sees a tow company linked to them in the future, we will be calling elsewhere for service. read more

Zero stars! I had an accident a couple months ago and I had it towed to this place. I regret that decision. They damaged parts of the car where it was perfectly fine before. The insurance company paid them so they didn't care. They expect me to pay out of pocket elsewhere because they don't know how to fix the damages they made. Will report to BBB! read more

Now usually I don't do these but this has been one heck of a morning. So I am going to take my time to explain why I am very displeased with the lack of customer service at this business. My car was towed here after a wreck. I was told by insurance company to CALL and give my VERBAL consent to release my vehicle. When I called a lady picked up the phone and told me they could not release my car to my insurance company unless I personally came and signed a release consent form. I explained to them that I worked during their hours of business and if possible could they accommodate my situation. The receptionist/ rep. told me she is their every morning to open up at 7:30 so that I could sign and get any of my belongings and to call her back with a day I could come. I called back Tuesday, 5/16 and confirmed with her that we would meet at 7:30 Wednesday at 7:30 am. Initially, I was still irritated but I woke up at 5:00 am and tackled the Septa transportation system to make sure I got there at 7:30 am in order for me to still make it to where I work at Bristol. I did this while still lugging my very active 4 year old boy around in order to get him to daycare since I just recently moved here from GA and I am a Single mom. Once again, mind you , I had todo this all on Septa and I just moved here from Georgia. Of course, the rep was late, which means I was 1 and a half hour late to work as a result. But even so it would have been worth it I could do as I was told, which was, sign away consent for my car to be picked up by my insurance company and obtain some of my belongings. But wait get this... I signed the the consent paper and low and behold when she goes to look for my car in their hand written system, my insurance company had already tooken the car to there affiliates in New Jersey. I cried on the train to work. Totally embarrassing but forget it. I literally wasted 5 hours of my life for nothing! I repeat Nothing! And on top of that I lost $50 in wages I could have earned with my employer. Not to mention now, I will have to travel on Septa AGAIN to obtain the items from my car I was told I could retrieve this morning. But I'm sure this company does not care because my insurance company will cut them a check regardless. I am just disgusted with the lack of customer service since I assume this company does not care since they probably make descent enough money towing peoples car to not uphold themselves to ensuring everyone of their clients or customers receives a quality of service. No one called to tell me my car had been picked and I can't blame my insurance carrier because they told me I could simply just call and give verbal consent. The mis-information provided was a totally lack of consideration. And to think no one called to say don't come it's been moved.Then I called to speak with the manager and the same lady answered the phone and told me he was busy. I'm waiting for a my call back. I could go on and on but i'll just leave this here. A simple sorry would mean the most at this point even though this was a big inconvenience in this thing called LIFE for me. UPDATE: 3:38 5/17/17 So I recently spoke with the owner, Pete. He told me he would reimburse me for my lost wages but then went on to tell a lie. He did apologize for the lack of communication but went on to say how he was the reason I did not have to pay charges. He claimed the insurance company said it was "my fault" and weren't going to pay him. I have full coverage, uninsured motorist and roadside assistance. Don't add insult to injury by lying or just not admitting your wrong so you can cover yourself. So I called back to let him know I he was lying. He wasn't there but the lady who told the wrong info. to begin with called back. Talking to me like I was beneath her of course and basically said it was my fault and my insurance companies fault AGAIN when she is the one who screwed up. She even admitted she screwed up when she told me my tags were tags were out of state which is why the rule did not apply. Learn how to say sorry and mean it with no excuses. Would not recommend doing business with the Upper Darby, PA location at 7027 West Chester Pike. My insurance company got the run around for a whole week, while they kept on hiking up their storage fees. Items stolen from my car within less that 12 hours of retrieving my personal property. Additional damages done to the interior of my car that did not pertain to the accident. Professional not, trustworthy definitely not, go with a more reputable company like AAA. read more

Please do not go here, my car looks ok on the outside, but when I went to the dealership to get a final check on my vehicle ALL of the things Modern Auto Crafters was to repair did not get repaired properly, and although they had my vehicle for 4 weeks they did not do a good job AT ALL!!!!!! The family that owns the shop is very nice, however, I WOULD NEVER EVER recommend them for a job not even a paint job, as my vehicles paint chipped 1 week after, and this does not even cover the internal damage to my car. read more

I had the worst experience and truly disappointed! My auto was sent there because the tow driver arrived at the scene of the accident. He was not called! Due to the shock and needed to go to the doctor I let him take the auto to his shop. After speaking with my insurance company I decided not to allow this place to handle my repairs. Although was told would absorb deductible I became less impressed. When auto was to be picked up it was a charge of $1100 for 4 days and then was told unable to get since no pickup after 4;00.. so now another day! The business moved to 39 Mill Lane in Upper Darby and I received nothing but poor service from this company. They took 2 1/2 months to fix my vehicle. Every week for 5 weeks I was told "Oh Ms Garcia I apologize your car will be ready by next week. All it needs is to be painted. You will see. You will be so happy with the results." They finally returned my car to me with unrepaired scratches and misalignment/axle issues. On top of a draft coming from the passenger door. My car is a 2014 Nissan Altima for godsakes! The owner Peter promised to fix the issues two weeks ago. Yesterday, he didn't answer his cell phone! I tried to be patient but I see I have get my attorney and the BBB involved. I was recently involved in an automobile accident and had my truck towed. They took my car in and estimated that it would take 5 to 6 days, which seamed reasonable with the amount of work that my truck needed. I had my truck back in 4 days. As for the results, it looks like new. Great service. read more
