Such a friendly and welcoming staff here at Modern Age Dentistry! When I first pulled up I wasn't sure if I had arrived at the right place. They turned a little house into a dentist office and it's genius. It doesn't have that stale traditional feeling most dentist offices have, partially because of the layout of the dentist office being in a home and partially because the staff is personable it makes you feel like you've been going there for ages. Dr. Saeghi is great at telling you exactly what's going on with your teeth and how he's going to fix them. They offer easy financing and give you their professional opinion as to what should be most priority. MAD is the only dentist I will go to from here on out. read more

Scheduled a visit, left work early, not an easy feat, and arrived 5 minutes before appointment . The dr made me wait one hour to see him. No apology. He spent two minutes with me max, and was perturbed to give me a consult as if I was bothering him, the dentist had a bedside manner of a dirt clod. I have not felt so buttered up for an inflated quote for dental work in quite awhile... Sigh... One more dental ripoff artist. Insisting on extra work, unnecessary, and unneeded. I have quotes from two other dentists and his was over $2,000 higher! Sometimes I pay for the pleasant demeanor of doctors and I'm ok with that, when I don't feel gouged. RUN away read more

I love Dr Saeghi, Mindy and the rest of the girls (including Princess!) here. I first went to see Dr. Saeghi for check ups when we were hunting for a new dentist after the one we had in vta made my daughter cry in fear. My daughter loves going in to Dr. Saeghi, I also finished replacing all of my old metal fillings which is a huge relief to have the mercury out of my mouth! And we now go in for our regular cleanings and are looking into Invisalign Teen for my daughter here. I highly recommend this office! read more

I came to the office for x/rays, cleaning and a few problem teeth. I was a little hesitant entering the dentistry because the outside looked like someone's home, but once I did, it completely felt like a dentist office. The dog was a nice added touch also ;) the front desk staff was incredibly friendly, the dental hygienist was fun to talk to & even the physician was very friendly. What a NIGHTMARE! I bought the whitening package, and they would not do a thing until I got a filling replaced. And wisdom teeth removed. ( I was at my normal dentist the week before and nothing was said about either) it's a scam! They want to find things wrong so they can fix it themselves when the things dont even need to be fixed. Stay away from here. The visit started out very well but then the dentist began to pressure me to replace all my fillings at once when I was having no trouble with them. He decided I needed 13 crowns and I could pay him $13,000 on a credit card with 26% interest which he would arrange for me. When I said no, I got lectured about how I had to take care of my teeth and put my health first. I told him I was currently unemployed and not about to go into debt. Also mentioned I still had hospital bills to pay. He said, Oh don't bother to pay those. I left after one visit, but feel sorry for folks who believe such non-sense and don't see what they're getting into. read more

I never change dentists if I can help it, but I'm old enough to have had care from several over the years. They've all been good, but I would say Dr. Saeghi is the best yet. My family has been seeing Dr. Saeghi and his staff for as long as Modern Age Dentistry has been in Ojai. We trust him absolutely on all aspects of dental care. I had a chipped tooth fixed, new fillings and replacement filings. I've had new crowns and crown replacements with no pain, accurate color matching and careful fitting. They now have a crown-making machine that produces the crown while you wait. No temporary crown or second visit to fit the permanent. Most recently, I was fitted for a night guard to prevent my teeth from wear while I sleep. Dr. Saeghi spent a lot of time making sure it fit well in my mouth. It is reassuring that he spends extra time to ensure the filling, crown, or night guard is perfectly comfortable. The dental hygienists are excellent. After the cleaning, they give a thorough explanation of the areas that need work and review techniques so that I'm confident I can continue the care at home. read more

Let me start by saying, like probably a lot of people, i hate going to the dentist. So I always wait to the last possible moment to go and obviously I get in trouble for not going to my scheduled cleanings. I decided to try them out because they are conveniently close to my work and they were flexible enough to schedule my cleanings during my lunch break. So really no excuses right? First impression, it feels so homely like you're walking into a house. At arrival you are immediately greeted by the ladies at the front, with a warm smile. Samantha and Leslie are the sweetest and they are so knowledgeable regarding insurance questions which confuses me so much so I'm so grateful for their expertise. Regarding the hygienist, like previously mentioned I'm generally not a fan of, but the two that I've seen at this office have been so carrying and most importantly sensitive to my needs as well as making sure I feel comfortable. I've had the best experience here. They are flexible with they're appointments, they notify me when there's last minute openings, they send me text reminders. DR. IS WIERD!!! I've been going here a while now. Everytime I come thier is a completely new staff. I find this to be an unprofessional alarm. The staff have always been professional, courtious, and comfortable.(even though they are always different people) I think they go thru so many people because of the Doctor! Last couple of visits they really try to force you to get questionable treatment... I'll find a better Dentist.... My sister was visiting me from out of town and had an emergency dental situation come up. Dr. Saeghi's office was the closest dentist office so we went there hoping her problem would be properly addressed. Dr. Saeghi and his staff were kind and knowledgeable and took good care of my sister. My sister, who has unfortunately had many dental issues and been to numerous dentists, said Dr. Saeghi was the best dentist she had ever seen!! After that visit several years ago I left my dentist so I could start going to Dr. Saeghi. I have never regretted that decision. I've been seeing Dr. Saeghi for about a year and a half now and my dental health is better than ever. He is really cool and always makes me feel comfortable and at ease. This doctor really knows his stuff! I had a very serious infected tooth and he insisted I have it pulled out immediately, which I did. I feel he saved my life. My previous dentist in Santa Barbara said he recommended I remove the tooth but never inform me how infected it was. Office staff doesn't get any nicer. Wow I immediately felt like family. read more

This place really is the gift that keeps on giving. After calling the office two months in a row to ask to be taken off their mailing list for their come-on postcards, I was told by Sidney that I had to call the local post office. She could take me off the list at the office, but the post office is in charge of sending out the postcards. I called the post office and asked about this. Of course, they have nothing to do with their mailings, and without giving out their name, the gentleman I spoke with seemed to know who I was talking about. It's to bad when people don't want to believe what a dentist or hygienist diagnosis their periodontal or dental stage is. I recognize that most people cannot read x-rays or feel when something is going wrong with a tooth or gums because there is no pain, no obvious sign or symptom. It's sad that some people that have gone to this office are so quick to try to lay the blame of their own lack of care for their mouth either at home and/or getting in for cleaning visits with a hygienist. I have had nothing but the best and most thorough care ever with Dr. Saeghi and his wonderful staff. I will never go anywhere else. I am aware that Dr. Saeghi is always staffed with the most caring of people. Unless you have walked in his shoes maybe you shouldn't throw stones for seeing new faces when you come in sometimes. After all, didn't you know he has more than one office in more than one location where good, hardworking, caring people that Dr. Saeghi trusts to be at any one of his offices. Awful experience! I went there to inquire about deep gum cleaning not practiced at my regular dentist where I was already in treatment and told the dr. there so. They were not interested in offering the cleaning only unless I did an enormous amount of dental work with them which I never inquired about. The office offered that I take out a care credit for the huge bill proposed for all the work they would do (ignoring I was already in treatment at my dentist!) Found them rude and pushy and not at all interested in what the patient was asking.... Will NEVER go back! read more

If there were less than one star, I would give it. I went to see Dr. Saeghi on his $99 special, which included x-rays, an exam, and a cleaning. I went because I had a sore tooth, which Dr. Saeghi said he could find no evidence of. He did, however, say that all my fillings needed to be replaced. On to the cleaning. The technician told me I had gum disease, and she could not clean my teeth. Neither Dr. Saeghi nor the 3 other dentists I've seen since my visit with Dr. Saeghi said anything about gum disease. My sore tooth? A cracked tooth with an absess. The tooth was extracted a month ago, and I'm pain free. And, really? Dr. Saeghi couldn't see this? My gums remain in excellent condition. As if this weren't enough, we got on their postcard advertising program. Despite six or seven calls to request being taken off their lists, I got the following responses: 1) We can't take you off the list. It's handled by the local post office. I called the local post office, and this simply isn't true. It's handled by Dr. Saeghi's office. 2) I will take you off the list. Didn't happen. It's been over a year and a half, and we moved out of the area 5 months ago. These monthly reminders of the bad experience at this office are like a jab in the eye. I informed the new office manager today that if we get one more postcard, I will report them to the California Department of Consumer Affairs for harassment. read more
