Food was excellent! Got the chicken tenders and French fry combo, only $10 bucks! Good deal for good food. Tasted fresh and watched him bread the chicken after we ordered. The guy behind the corner was so nice and friendly, very helpful and offered us a fork and water while we waited and ate our pie that we bought. hey this place is the truth. i ordered the chicken sandwich and found that it was one of the tastiest sandwhiches ive had. I over ate it was so good. also the cookies are to die for, the customer service was insanely good despite what was going on outside, the guy was awesome and was warm and inviting. they have integrity both in their cooking standards and in their face to face interactions. This place is my favorite pizza place. I'm so lucky to live near by. There quality ingredients make other pizza places taste subpar . I love coming here. The people that work there are always super nice and easy to talk to. Some times when I'm just walking by I will get a high five or a hey buddy how are you. So glad they are in my neighborhood. I haven't had any problems with service and they seem to be on the up and up with keeping everything clean. And they have a ton of things to order I sometimes forget they have more then pizza . Idk how many stars a place can get but I'd give this place a A+with all the starts. The only thing that bums me out is that there not open later. This was an incredibly good pizza, order by a friend for lunch. It was so good I had to go check it out myself. I arrived 7 minutes later to find the restaurant closed locked dark and all tables on chairs. CLOSED 2 phone calls later to unhelpful employees claiming the manager would be in later or tomorrow, and not speaking English (despite 5 minute conversations in English), still refusing to refund my $30 charge. These guys just remodelled and changed names from Veracio's to Modena Pizza. Let me tell you. I cannot say enough great things about these guys. Not only do they make the best pizza on 6th Street, their service is great, and they are stand up guys! I reviewed them before under their old restaurant name, and I keep raving about them to everyone! Now they are open even later than before. It used to be 3am closing. Now they close at 5am! Who does that??? They make our whole building look good. Their prices didn't go up either, and the quality of their food is the same. They did not cut corners on their food just because they remodelled. I applaud that! Yeah, maybe I am a little biased, but no, these guys do make the best toasted subs hands down. Pizza was great as was the Cheese Calzone ( I added mushrooms, anchovies, bell peppers, and spinach). Caesar Salad also a hit. The Pizza and Calzone tasted fresh, arrived hot, and were not greasy. Let me set the scene for you... 2am, New Year's Day, needed some late night food. So of course our first instinct is PIZZA. The place was packed and I am assuming that was due to it being New Years played a big part in that. We ordered a whole pizza as well as a slice of cheese because we were being impatient. As far as 2 am pizza goes, this place is legit, and sits atop Seniores and other late night pizza as far as slices go. They let you customize on top of it. Got the hawaiian then added chicken, they drizzled extra cheese and it comes out melty delicious. This is the best pizza I've had since I've been living on this coast. I stopped in randomly while I was in the area, and had a slice of pepperoni as is. The crust was crispier than I was expecting (used to a soft crust). The sauce to cheese balance was almost perfect (most places here seem to favor cheese flavor as far as I can tell). I don't like it when the bread is too thick, and theres barely any cheese or when theres an overwhelming amount pepperoni, Every time I order here I am quite pleased with my pizza.
