This place has some real deal stuff, and you will more than likely buy more than what you originally ordered. If you are like me, and you eat with your eyes, you will easily spend over $50 on your first visit and all visits to come. Since I work close to hear, I usually call in my cold cut order and come to pick up in the afternoon. Be prepared to wait if you walk-in, as people usually stock up on all their Italian specialty favorites. From pasta to sausage, to candy to appetizers for your weekend get-together. The walls are littered with pictures and memories of years past and make great use of your waiting time by taking a peak at it all. This is a neighborhood staple that isn't going anywhere!

Staubitz Market is one of those places that makes you appreciate old New York. I love coming here…read morefor the quality of the meat, the knowledgeable and friendly staff, and especially the old-fashioned atmosphere. It feels like a Brooklyn institution, with a history and character that you simply don't find in many places anymore. In a city that changes so quickly, Staubitz is a real treasure, and I hope it remains part of the neighborhood for generations to come. I also want to encourage everyone to support Staubitz (and the other small businesses on Court Street) right now. Our stupid and dishonest government recently reduced Court Street to one lane for cars (and the city blatantly lied by saying businesses on Court Street asked for this). The changes have suddenly made it extremely difficult for customers and deliveries, putting additional pressure on neighborhood businesses like this. Court Street has become a horrible mess. These longtime local businesses need our support. Now is a particularly good time to shop there.

Also wondering whether the chicken is still well sourced....wings I bought on Saturday were larger than usual and made me wonder...... smaller is better, antibiotics-wise. Service was nice but it took about 20 minutes for our sandwiches to be done, which I felt was a bit long. Would be a great spot to hang out with friends on a sunny day!

In the New New York late night options are limited but Hana Food remains consistent in churning out quality and tasty food regardless of the time of day. You decide what you want and how you simply or complexly you want it made and leave the rest up to the masters on the other side of the counter. I switch up my order based on my mood but I'm especially a fan of the combination of the El Mexicano.
