I can't believe I've never stopped here before! I came for a business meeting, and this place was recommended -- what a great choice. You can design your own pizza right on the spot with whatever toppings you want. It's kind of like making a Subway sandwich, but for pizza -- and it's absolutely delightful. Lately, the quality of the pies out of this location have been on point, so we've been ordering more frequently. Placed an order on Saturday evening for 3 pies, plus cheesy garlic sticks, plus the choc chip pie for dessert. Deliver was organized thru the Mod app, and it turns out they use DoorDash. Order placed thru the app, time is confirmed and all seems to be going well. Tracking the status of the order, I see there's a little blip on the radar - looks like the time has been pushed out by about 10 min or so. Then I get a call from Mod, and when I open the line to answer, they hang up. Already in touch with the doordasher, I ask if Mod was trying to call me or reach me about the order. Doordasher says no, I'm here now, no one has said anything, and don't worry I'll keep you up to date on anything. I said OK and did not call Mod back, cause doordasher was there and telling me she was handling it (whatever it was). Fast fwd a few minutes, doordasher tells me, oh yeah, seems like they were trying to reach you about the choc chip cookie - none available. You can pursue your refund thru DoorDash. Oh and I'm on my way at ok bye I searched through the mod app to see if I could find an itemized receipt (nope), any area where I could send a message to the Mod team (nope), or send an email or other written inquiry (nope again). I decided to wait for the delivery to see if there was an itemized and corrected receipt for my order included with the delivery, nope again. After inspecting the pies, I called the Mod we had placed the order from and got routed to national call center for Mod. They were helpful and took my information and assured me that someone would be in touch with me soon. Checked my email this morning (Monday) and didn't find anything except for an invite to complete a Mod survey. Filled it out, and said to myself, it's ok to wait to see how this plays out. I'm betting folks just need to get into the office and review what took place over the wknd ... ... and I was right! A few minutes after I completed the survey, I received a refund notification via email for the missing dessert item! I checked the amounts, found them to be accurate, and mentally congratulated the leadership team on keeping on top of issues like this - further confirming this location is one I want to keep doing business with. Imagine my surprise when I get a vmail a few hours later from the General Manager (Robb) who called to apologize for the disconnect over the weekend and to share that he had issued a FULL REFUND for the entire order, to make things right. WOW! What an incredible experience - I was not asking or seeking a full refund - just to be refunded what didn't make it into my order, but this team took it a step further to dazzle and delight this customer - and it is greatly appreciated. Pizza is one of our favorite family meals and there are plenty of options out there, but we'll stick with Mod - because of customer service like this. And tbh, their pies are just darned good. Hubs got the Meaty Masterpiece (loved it ), and the rest of us got customized pies (so amazing ) and the garlic sticks were GOLD. I definitely enjoy MOD pizza regularly. The pizza is always delicious and you pick your own toppings so you make it your own. Pizza is more individual sized but still can be shared or have left overs. They do offer a good amount of vegetable options as well as a vegetarian "sausage". Salads are great too and come in different sizes. At times the line is pretty long so I prefer to use the app to order so I can customize and have it ready for pick up. Overall the interior is clean and staff friendly. I always make sure to check my pizza before I leave because there has a been a few times a topping is missing. They offered to fix right away. Parking is tricky due to the closeness of spots and multiple restaurants in a small space so I prefer to park a little further away. Try the no-name cake for sure if you visit! read more

Everytime they make my pizza perfect exaclty how I want it, it tastes good. Out of the countless times ive gone theres only ever been once that it tasted a little off & I just assumed there was a slight quality issue that day it was close to closing time anyways, happened with the lemonade once too, but it was also close to being finished so I assumed it was bc it was close to empty. Overall great place to eat in at, generally quiet & has outdoor seating. Some indoor seats do really need to be replaced but thats not anyones fault. What seems like the manager of the place, has a little accent, recognized me after only like 3x of going to that store once a week, it was nice. Some days we come in it seems like hes one of the few people who know what theyre actually doing, assuming theyre training new people. Ive been in that position and its not an easy job, but he improvises, adjusts, and works very hard all while maintaining great quality, even when he is the only one who knows what theyre doing, he does his best to make sure that burden isnt put onto the customers and is always one of the first ones you see helping customers. Its good to see involved management that is actually apart of the team they lead, theres very few good ones like that anymore. I cant say anything about working under the guy, but from a customers perspective, this guy needs a raise! read more

Reading past reviews in the months after they opened, it sounds like they definitely had problems and that's a reflection of management. The more recent reviews, except for one, seem to show that there must have been a change in the management for the better. I've eaten at three MODs now, and this one is my favorite. The one by Tucson Mall on Wetmore and the the one on Broadway and Wilmot are good enough and an average MOD Pizza. I like this location better because the lighting is a little bit brighter and better, and they have better seating, booths for one thing that the other two stores do not have, and a better floor plan with more open seating. The atmosphere is just more comfortable. We had good service, we beat a big rush, but it seems like everyone was served in good time. I had a mega dough crust, which I liked, and my wife had the cauliflower crust, which I also tasted, and it is surprisingly good. It is just another crust, and I mean that as a compliment because there was nothing off-tasting and the texture was good. Instead of something strange, it is worthy to consider just another crust option. There was a review that complained about meager portion sizes, even when asked for more. Sounds like a rookie employee problem. Nevertheless, there was no problem with that for us as there were plenty of toppings spread on our pizzas. I even asked for a bit more mozzarella and I got it. This location serves "for here" orders on these white plastic plates as opposed to the metal trays with the parchment paper. It's a nice upgrade. Even though this is 4 minutes farther than the one we usually frequent, I'm making this my go-to MOD from now on. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. I love Mod Pizza and decided to give location a shot. We have the app which has worked great for the Oracle and Thornydale locations... not so much for this location. Got there about 5 minutes before the suggested pick up time. Ended up waiting 15 minutes past the pick-up time. Which would have been ok, but they were super unpleasant when they brought it out almost shoving it into my open car window. We got the pizzas with our requested sauce that was smooshed into the pizza, instead of on the side. When Covid first happened, we were ordering weekly from the Oracle location. Not once did I get my sauce smooshed into the food. What a way to say you don't care.... the mozzarella cheese was scarce and the pizza wasn't cut through. It tasted ok. This was my first time eating at any MOD pizza, and I had high expectations. Friends are always raving about them. I ordered via the app and requested curbside pickup. I love it when a restaurant offers this for those of us who are high risk. I arrived at 5:30 pm on a weekend, and they were very busy. I was lucky that someone near the door left, because parking was scarce. I was surprised they didn't have reserved parking for pick-up orders. For curbside, you call the number they have posted. It was easy and they picked up quickly. I got my food very quickly, too. Speed is definitely a perfected skill here! In all, service was great. I expected thin crust with charred edges, which is what I got. The thin crust is a bit to crispy for my taste (this is just personal preference), so next time I would get the thicker crust. I got a red sauce pizza with mild sausage, mushrooms, and roasted garlic, and garlic cheese bread. The two main reasons for my low rating is that there was almost no cheese on the pizza. There was one piece with no cheese at all. Second, the garlic wasn't roasted it was practically raw. Roasted garlic is soft and golden and sweet. This barely had heat touch it and wasn't soft. The sausage was delicious, it had a fair amount of toppings, and I really enjoyed the cheese bread. I'm hoping this was an off day, I plan to try it again. read more

I've always liked MOD. You can build your own pizza and have it just the way you like. We stopped in for a lunch. It was two of us. We each had a mini pizza and a salad, plus a small drink. $40. Wowza! Overall, this is an average place to eat. Their salads are just ok. Some of my pieces of salad were wilted. My pizza was yummy, though! I do like their drink bar, and that you could opt for an adult beverage if that suits your mood. Overall, I would return when I'm in the mood to build my own pizza. We love this place - you can customize your pizza any way you want - while you watch them build it ! We like sausage, pepperoni, beef, bacon - for meats. We like mushrooms, black olives, tomatoes, garlic, green peppers. A well built up pie ! Don't forget one of the "no name" cakes by the register. Look like "Ding Dongs", but better ! I got the smallest size pizza they had, with pepperoni, mozzarella, feta, and green peppers. Shana prepared it flawlessly, and suggested the Red Velvet cake. MOD - "Made on Demand"- the problem being that during our last two visits it has been "Made on Delay". The amount of time that customers are having to wait in line to place and receive their orders is a reflection of systemic problems behind the counter. This most recent visit, the customer in front of us indicated that they had been standing in the same place in line for 15 minutes. No movement! We opted to depart the restaurant and eat somewhere else. That decision was made because the three of us have all endured this issue on separate visits to this location. During one of my prior visits, we were fortunate to arrive at a time that allowed for our group to order first. We then proceeded to watch the line build and folks were waiting 15 - 30 minutes to place their order. The body language from our vantage point was quite telling! Clearly disgruntled by the wait. I see two recent reviews with similar complaints from July and September. It is my hope that you can get this service glitch fixed. I've enjoyed many a pizza at your Broadway location with no hiccups. Rita Ranch just happens to be closer to our home & we'd like it to meet or exceed our experiences at the Broadway store. read more

Toppings are a mess, strewn across the area and cross contamination between toppings is unavoidable with the lack of cleanliness. A pizza I ate had sausage on it and it was supposed to be vegetarian. Pizza did not taste good and got worse with the meat discovery. Wait time was excessive- especially after we lucked out with only 3-4 people in front of us. It got slammed afterwards and the wait must have been 30 minutes or more. Totally turned off by this and will not be returning. read more

We love Mod Pizza because for a reasonable price each member of our family can get exactly what they want. This location was definitely having some timing issues when they very first opened, probably due to lack of experience, but they got it together very quickly. The first visit and the second we waited over 20 minutes past our order time, but since then every visit has been great. Maybe a few minutes past our order time at most since we have always ordered ahead. I think the second long wait time they messed up one of our pizzas so they remade it and sent us home with an extra!! The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and everyone seems to be following the Covid guidelines. Recently opened at this location. Service was fairly quick and workers were friendly. I had the margherita pizza, spouse had the meat pizza and child has the cheese garlic bread. I enjoyed my pizza but did notice they forgot to add the fresh basil after I received the pizza. My spouse said his pizza was good. The cheese garlic bread was good too, although next time I may tell them to go easy on the garlic as it was a little too much for me. Would have given them 5 stars, but the cross contamination that happened while I was there caused the 4 stars. I love their pizza and I have never noticed this while at the Broadway store. They use the same utensils in multiple containers. So if you were allergic to tomatoes or peppers or garlic, too bad. One of the workers was preparing a pizza for the guest ahead of us and she used her glove to rub garlic and oil into the customers crust. She then moved on to our pizza and stuck her gloved hand into what we wanted, never changing her glove. I, thankfully am not allergic to anything, but my daughter has severe food allergies.
