The idea is a limited menu (pizza, salad and drinks) with several sizes. You choose the item and size and you get to pick all the different additions. Choose from 1 to 6 different greens for the salad, and similar choices of cheese for the pizza. There's a choice of sauces, meats, vegetables (even roasted cauliflower or asparagus) and several kinds of peppers. ETC! My husband and I usually split the medium size salad and medium size pizza. Usually the line is pretty long but the crew does a great job at working together to get people helped quickly. Their lemonade is so yummy and their chocolate milk shake is to die for. Tremendous restaurant.... ingenious concept. Total fan of the build- your -own construct. Makes sense since so many people like myself suffer from food allergies. One night visiting family in Bremerton we thought we'd give this a try. I haven't eaten pizza in years due to health issues with gluten. Well guess what ? They have a gluten free crust! I ordered online and it was fast and easy. Got the gluten free crust with olive oil, veggies and grilled chicken. As an afterthought, I added non-dairy cheese. My dining companion ordered regular crust, red sauce, artichokes, mozzarella, and mushrooms --wow. The price paid online was about half the cost of a comparable size pizza from the typical chain competitors ! Then when I arrived to pick it up, it had just come out of the oven. The taste was incredible. Last time in my life I had pizza this good and this fresh was when I was living in southern Italy ! Too bad we don't have MOD back home, but I'll either have to start up one of these franchises myself or just come on back to Washington ! A great concept and a pretty decent execution. This is like the Chipotle of pizza, where you get to pick your sauces, toppings, add-ons, etc. as you go down the line. The crust is thin for sure, depending on the day, it's anywhere between cracker thin and soft in the middle, crispy/crunchy on the crusts. The prices aren't bad for what you get, it's on par with Chipotle/Qdoba/other places with the similar line concept. This location is generally pretty busy so they will rush you along the line, so the first time you feel like you forgot 10 things you may have wanted and already want to go back again to try again lol. They are also pretty sparse with certain toppings so don't be afraid to ask for more. More than once they only put 3 little pieces of Canadian bacon on my entire pizza, which is a little annoying. Also, they have sauces at the end for when your pizza comes out, so make sure to take advantage of that, and you can always ask for a sauce on the side in a cup instead of on the pizza. My daughter doesn't like their cheesy garlic sticks, she usually loves these other places, but my husband says they put raw garlic on them and that's probably why she doesn't like them. So, unless your kid likes raw garlic, those aren't exactly a kid option, which sucks because she doesn't need a whole mini pizza. Either way, we have tried their regular size, my husband has had the mega (the bigger one is still the same size, it's just 2 crusts put together) and we have had the salad. Honestly, the pizza is great but their salads are probably my favorite thing here. They come out awesome every time! So this is definitely a good go-to pizza place, especially for a quick option. It's much more than Costco pizza or anything like that, but it's much more customizable and definitely a lot healthier! Started by Seattle locals in 2008 as a made to order pizza joint, MOD has grown exponentially, both in number of locations and quality. Their business style is fun, unique, and successful. I first tried MOD in 2013 at a location in Lynnwood. I was pleased by the food, but not blown away. Three years later, this location at The Trails has perfected exactly what MOD is all about. Ingredients, execution, and service provided by the staff is stellar every single time I visit this Silverdale location. I even visited four times in a seven day period, because the pizza was so good, I couldn't stop throwing my money at it. Additionally, the hunger satisfaction ratio to dollars spent is a better value than next door competitors Jersey Mike's and Chipotle, although both offer some tasty eats that are definitely worth a try. Ultimately, I am delighted that there is now a MOD in Kitsap County that is being ran by a team of people who know what they're doing. Pro tip: Always get the mega. I have to say I was kind of skeptical about this place when I first heard about it from my coworker. They told me it was very affordable and really delicious. He also told me you can add whatever you like and it's still the same price! I had to see it for myself. I decided to order it to go online, and it said it would take 15 mins, but in my head I thought it would actually take 20+ minutes. Once I took a bite out of my pizza, a whole explosion of flavor hit my mouth; it had mega dough, garlic rub, white sauce, Gorgonzola, mozzarella, Canadian bacon, grilled chicken, mild Italian sausage, pepperoni, spicy chicken sausage, arugula, cilantro, green bell peppers, jalapeños, mama lil peppers, mushrooms, red onion, roasted broccoli, roasted red peppers, spinach, pesto sauce, and Sri-ancha. This place has some good pizza! It's a nice breath of fresh air for this town and for all pizza restaurants in general. Loved the decor and loved the friendly staff! This is the type of place I would bring a large group of people. Trust me, they have the seating for it. My only gripe, which keep in mind I'm searching for one amongst all the greatness, is the crust of the pizza is a little bit different from what one would expect. They don't really do thick crust pizza, but rather stack two thin crusts atop one another and call it double layered. Which it technically is, I was just expecting something different. But all the ingredients tasted fresh. The crust, even though it was not what I expected, was not bad. We ordered online and therefore did not get to experience watching our pizza get made. What we did encounter though was witnessing them pull the pizza out from on top of the pizza oven (probably to keep it warm). I thought it was a bit weird considering I'm not sure how often a place thats out of sight like that would get regular cleaning. Hopefully they invest in heatlamps of something else other than storing our food on top of an oven underneath a wall. But I wouldn't let something like that deter anyone from trying this place. By far the best pizza I have ever tasted. First time there I had the Caspian without Gargonzola. I also got a salad with lemon lime dressing that was amazing. The second time through I tried the gluten free crust that I just wanted to try for trying sake. The employee immediately asked if it was an allergy and if they needed to change their gloves. Although I don't have a gluten allergy their attention to this detail, to me, is amazing. AND, it doesn't taste like cardboard!! We also tried the Mega pizza and I was pretty amazed that it was AMAZING, (normally not a cheese fan), but this stuffed crust pizza doesn't disappoint. They give a 15% military discount which is awesome for the area. The line IS long, but they are a well oiled machine and pump out amazing pizzas in no time, and there is adequate seating that there isn't a wait for. The second time through here, there was a lot more personalization allowed to us so I think they are getting into their groove.
