Whenever a pizza craving hits or when I'm looking to treat myself for a quick lunch, this is one of my favorite spots and I've never been disappointed. I love how MOD offers a variety of their combinations, which you can order as is, or customize your own by adding as many other toppings as you wish. Either way, it's less than $9.00 for the standard 11-inch! Typically, I'll build upon their "Jasper" which includes mushrooms and spicy chicken sausage. Simple but delicious! However, for the days I'm looking for a heftier base, I'll choose the "Mad Dog" topped with sausage, pepperoni and ground beef. To these, I like to add black olives, green pepper, red onion and chopped garlic at minimum. The peppers and onions provide some crunch while the sprinkles of garlic really take the flavor up a notch. They also mix up their menu with featured specialty pizzas for a limited time, which can get pretty creative! One of my favorites was their Diego, which had chorizo, roasted corn, red onion and cilantro. I loved the southern flair, pop of the roasted corn and the spicy smoky chorizo. If you're in the mood for a salad, MOD's concept remains the same... choose from over 30 ingredients to mix into a bed of greens. Their salad container may look small, but they stuff a ton of toppings into a single serving. Service here has always been friendly and relatively quick. It's amazing how quickly they assemble a pizza, throw it in the oven, and serve it within just 10 minutes or so. To save a bit of time, you can also order online and pick it up when ready. As delicious as the pizzas are, I usually have a couple slices left over for a small snack or part of my lunch the next day. That's another plus of MOD... two servings in one! read more

We like Mod Pizza because each of us can customize our Pizzas per our liking. The thin crispy pizza crusts are one of my favorite. Another reason this is a place I prefer is : for a vegetarian pizza the customization and possibilities are numerous. In my experience, the take outs haven't been as good but in-store experience. I have to say , I've been coming to this location for the past 3 years and I can honestly say I don't remember them pissing me off one time lol. If we're busy and the kids are hungry this is our go to place . We know that it will be fast , it will be right and it will be GOOD! Employees are always super friendly and helpful , which is seemingly hard to find it seems these days . The people that run this store have done a great job with picking the employees they hire . They did greet us when we came in but the place was filthy! All tables were dirty, garbage overflowing, Ranch and garbage all over by floor near drink station. The Sammamish location is probably the worst one I've ever been to. I arrived at the pick up time and after a couple minutes the Oven guy told me it wasn't even started yet! The two bearded guys at the counter just chuckled and laughed it off, like Who Cares?? So now I've waited an additional "20mins" I finally get my order, I had ordered Extra Bell Pepper, Extra Onion, Diced Tomato, and Shredded Basil.. There were NO BELL PEPPERS, NO TOMATOES, NO BASIL. There is construction on NE 8th ST and 228th Ave. If you order a salad online, they will put it in the fridge until the customer arrives. They did not; they left it on the shelf with other pizzas. I came after 45 minutes because of the construction, and he could not find it. It was on the shelf when he did, and I told him about it. He told me," Umm I'm sorry". This is unacceptable as I have come in the past and they have it inside a fridge. They don't even try. read more

People working here have worse reading skills than a new born baby, because they simply can't get the ingredients in an order right. The last six times I ordered from them online, they always managed to eff it up completely. Take for example, today. I ordered a pizza with salami, and when I picked it up, there was none. There was also pineapple on the pizza which I didn't ask for. I asked them to remake my order. The woman I spoke with was very nonchalant about the fact that they wasted my time and money. I love that MOD has fresh ingredients and deliciously fast food. This particular location has nice open seating, especially in the summer. What I do not love, nor understand, is the lack of reusable cups for beverages along with the lack of recycle and compost containers. I understand that city-ordinances, building landlords, and city ordinances determine what can be saved from the landfill. However, since plates are available for those who dine in, clearly MOD has a dishwasher. Single use plastics are costly - for both the business and the environment. This didn't used to be my favorite Mod Pizza but it is now. Over the last couple years the staff they've hired have been so much friendlier than they were when they first opened. Last night I went to Mod Pizza is Sammamish for a quick treat. There were more folks behind the counter than ordering in store. It appeared to be total chaos but not that many orders. The line went well and folks were rushed but friendly. No one seemed to know what was happening. There seemed to be a new hire handing out the finished pizza's. she seemed to need a lot of help but had no supervision or assistance from the crew. After waiting and seeing folks that ordered pizza's after me get theirs I stepped forward was asked my name I gave it and got a pizza. I took the pizza home. It didn't look right but I took a bite. Super spicey. Not My Pizza. I called and told folks there what happened and asked if my pizza was still there. I was told no, but I could drive back and order another pizza and not have to pay again. I drove back and tried to explain that by giving me someone else's pizza they gave another person my pizza....messing up two orders. Anyway, again I waited. I was asked my name they couldn't seem to understand it...I told them my name again. They gave me a pizza. I didn't check it because I didn't believe they could screw it up twice when I was right there. Well I was WRONG. I came home and was shocked it had a vegetable on it I expressly said not to put on it. I watched them make my pizza and it didn't have that stuff on it. So again, they gave me the WRONG PIZZA. I called the store and told them what happened again!!!! They couldn't get my name right. They did offer to give me another pizza if I got into my car and drove back and did it all again. Again they had no idea where my pizza had gone. The confusion and rushing in the store was excessive and there seemed to be no supervision or control whatsoever. So myself and at least two other folks got the wrong pizza's last night because there is absolutely no one in charge and its a complete mess. NO organization I paid for a pizza I didn't get and threw away two pizzas that were mine. Or fit to eat. I asked to speak to a manager. Never happened not in two days. Terrible service. Love the food and the service! We mostly order on their app and pick to go. Never got an order incorrect and always inviting and nice service. We love the pizza options, thin crust, portions and the no name cake :). The price is great the service is fast. This chain is the subway of pizzas and me and my son love this place! read more

Cool place! Back when I was a wee child, this place was a Godfather's pizza with an old arcade in the back. Happy to see it back to a pizza place again, as it should be. The pizza options are delicious and the crust is just how I like it. Definitely looking forward to trying more combinations and different pizza options. When I'm in the area, it definitely will be one of my top choices for dinner! Lots of kids and families, reminds me of the good old days when the basketball team would meet for dinner at Godfathers :) Also the roll up garage doors look awesome for summer dining!! read more

Not a good place for families with small children. My family has enjoyed going to MOD in Sammamish for years. Unfortunately I do not want to go back after today. We had a problem with our daughter being difficult (4 year old). She started crying because of something she did not like with her drink. As a parent you try to handle when your child is being difficult in a public place. You try to handle their crying without just giving in with their demands. I made sure she got out of the way from the drink area and brought her to our table and was just giving her time to calm down. Just 2 minutes after she started crying, one of the staff members that was cleaning the table next to us, told us to please handle the noise "I hate to ask, but please handle the noise". This was not even 2 minutes in. At this point, the only choice I had was basically to drag my daughter out of the door. This made her tantrum worse so I could not go back in. My husband and AuPair had to end up rushing to get our food and drinks. Our lunch was basically ruined. I would expect that a place that serves so many families with kids would have a bit more tolerance for this type of situations. I guess nobody with a child that might misbehave can or should go to this place. read more

Unfortunately, at the Sammamish Mod there's always something wrong: they either have me waiting far longer than what's printed on the online estimate or there's something wrong with the order. It's also obvious that the staff simply works just enough to not get fired. Take some tips from your Issaquah Highlands colleagues, which seem to be doing a great job. read more

Always have great service and great food here, but today was especially pleasing. After a long hard day at work I came in and realized I'd place my pick up order for the wrong location. The manager offered to make the order here and call the other location to let them know what happened. So nice when your business matters! read more

This review is not about the product itself. The 2 mods, 1 strips, and 2 milkshakes were fine. Nor is it about the young employees who customized the pizzas for us. They did it with a smile. Good job guys. But, this is about the one person behind the cash, wearing a grey bandanna. He needs an attitude check. This is the second negative experience and hence warrants a review. First time, he scolded us for getting our pizzas in to go boxes and then eating at the restaurant. We didn't specify how we wanted them and so they came in boxes. We didn't complain because we expected to have leftovers. Didn't expect to be chided for that. Today, while paying, he apparently asked if it was just the pizzas and milkshakes and I said yes. I was distracted by two kids talking to me simultaneously. He ended up not ringing in the strips which we had ordered as well. He seemed to know that we ordered 2 pizzas, so should have known about the strips. After we paid, he came to us as we waited for our food to come and seemed accusatory in his tone saying we didn't pay for the strips. I had no idea it hadn't been included and immediately went over and paid the difference of 3.27. No problem paying, but don't appreciate the attitude or the tone. We love mod pizza and can easily get it at another franchise nearby. In a community where a business depends on loyal, returning locals, attitude is of utmost importance. read more

Last time I ate there it was louder than a nitro glycerin plant! If you like the sound of screaming children, Led Zeppelin blasting from the speakers, and disgruntled employees smashing plates into the dishwasher bin louder than a toy cymbal monkey, this is the place for you! Seriously though, the loudest experience I've had, except for a concert. Decibel level was insane the day I ate there. Besides the less than comfortable ambiance, the food was good.
