Supposed to be a Mad dog with cauliflower crust. Thrown together with almost no toppings
    Kathleen W.

Terrible experience! Ordered our two pizzas an hour and a half early. My husband arrived to pick up the pizza and they said they only had one done. So they made another one while he waited. Then they gave that pizza away! So, again they made another pizza. On top of that the first pizza that was now stone cold was not the cauliflower crust that we ordered. Not happy! On top of that the second pizza was thrown together with almost no toppings!! Geez The worst part!!! When you order online you tip in advance. So I gave a generous tip

Mod makes pizza eating so simple. We came in and the crew gave us a very cheery "Welcome!". We worked our way through the topping selection quickly. I'm so glad Mod doesn't skimp. When you ask for extra cheese, you get extra cheese. We got three pizzas. Each is a perfect size for one person. We are two of them while we were there and brought one home. All of them were cooked beautifully. The crust was crispy and the toppings were ideal eating temperatures. This was fast, easy, and delicious! Thank you Mod!!

I ordered food from this MOD Pizza location via delivery. I ordered three pizzas, all pizzas arrived as ordered. One of the pizzas had numerous toppings and requests, everything on the pizza was made exactly as requested. The pizzas were very good, and I recommend this MOD pizza location.

    The slow service was terrible.

Worst service ever!!! This place was empty and me and my family waiting for the guy to make our pizza. Instead he made to go orders in front of us. We waited line more than a half hour to eat. Will never come back here or recommend it to anyone.

Quality is very inconsistent. Not worth the money. Out of the dozen times I've ordered here over the past 2 years, the quality ranges drastically. I've probably have had 2 decent quality pizzas. The pizza is either extremely burnt or under cooked. Sometimes there is an adequate amount of toppings, other times there's barely any. For example, I just order a simple pepperoni ande cheese pizza. For $18 you'd expect more than 2 pepperoni's on each slice of pizza... not 2 max. Some pieces only have one pepperoni.

This place has been opened for a while. When I knew a MOD pizza was coming to ridgefield, I got so excited. We came around 4:30pm and this time, the place was not busy which was good for us. I really like their cauliflower pizza crust. I need to try their gluten friendly dough next time. We each built our own pizzas. Now the had a plant based sausage which I thought was pretty good. There are endless combinations and they satisfy almost any dietary restriction which is pretty cool.

Fast pizza and good times at Ridgefield's Mod Pizza was a satisfying quick lunch. It's not the best pizza, but it was loaded with unlimited toppings and baked quicker that it'll take me to draft this review. Besides, all I need are some tasty slices, a cool buzz, and I'm fine. A Mega Pizza is the "thick" version of Mod Pizza. I'm glad because "mega" solved the "soggy-in-the-middle" problem I'd experienced at other Mod Pizza locations. Basically, A "mega" is just double the regular crust which made it twice as chewy without any of the sogginess. My wife went with a class "thin" mod and it turned out great, too. So, clearly this Mod Pizza location has honed their Pizza bakin' skills. Four stars for the pizzas and sticking to the motto, "I shall serve no pies before their time." We sat on the shaded patio with a couple trips inside for free diet soda refills. The pizza was super filling, so, I ended up taking a chocolate No Name Cake (aka Ding Dong) home for dessert. It was ok (3 stars), but not an item I'll get again. This Mod Pizza is like fast times at Ridgemont except it's fast pizza in Ridgefield.

The Dominic- ingredients thrown on. Took back, asked if it's supposed to look like this. Replied "This is it."

Not really happy. Brought one of the pizzas back, because the ingredients were pretty much just thrown on. I asked the gentleman handling take out, if this how the pizza is supposed to look. He replied, "This is how the pizza is supposed to look" Pretty much worst tasting pizza I've had. I mean one of the slices, I was consuming mostly dough and the other was basil. He offered to replace or rebuild the pizza, but I was pretty shocked by his response of "this is how it's supposed be." Thanks but no thanks. Frozen pizza tasted better than this thing. Digiorno's Bianca for example.

I have loved Mod Pizza for a long time. The workers are always so friendly!! The past few times and at this location specifically, I have had things missing on pizzas and details not considered. It's very frustrating. Today I just got a regular ole pepperoni and black olive pizza with some salt and pepper, and the olives were missing. The last time I had this happen, I had two pizzas. One had two items missing. It's just unfortunate. I feel like if I had many items on my pizza and one thing was missed, that still would be unfortunate but its a lot to follow. But I only got and only ever get 2 items on my pizza. It just goes back to making sure every detail is considered when making food for customers!:(

The name alone made us curious, and once we realized they served pizza, we were in. Inside, the space opens up to a medium-sized dining room with a few bar-top seats and a main counter where you order, grab a number, and seat yourself. We asked the staff for a pizza recommendation and were pointed straight to the sausage and peppers pie, made with Italian sausage and Mama Lil's peppers. Sold. We ordered a large, plus a Caesar salad, a glass of house white wine, and an IPA. They also serve liquor, which is a nice bonus. The menu leans Italian with pizzas, pastas, salads, and a meatball sandwich that immediately caught my eye, especially after seeing the table next to us order it. It looked very good. The Caesar salad came out first. The dressing was delicious, the croutons were solid, but my one critique is the presentation. It was served as whole romaine leaves, so you have to cut it yourself if you want a normal bite. Not a dealbreaker, just not my favorite style. Flavor-wise though, it was a good Caesar. Then the pizza arrived and--visually--wow. Gorgeous crust, great color, and toppings that looked perfectly balanced. But when we tried to lift a slice, reality hit. The center crust was rolled super thin and got weighed down by the toppings, making it too soft to hold up. You basically have to slide it onto your plate and eat it with a fork until you get closer to the crust. Once you hit that halfway point, though, it's fantastic. The crust edge was perfect. Flavor-wise, the pizza really delivered. The sausage was rich and savory, the Mama Lil's peppers added a great tangy heat, and there were dollops of what tasted like ricotta that tied everything together beautifully. We also added mushrooms and hot honey. You wouldn't know there was a structural issue just by looking at it. That said, I don't think I'd order the pizza again without trying something else first. I'm very curious about the meatball sandwich or a pasta dish to see how those stack up. I also learned Bunnies has a sister restaurant, Little Conejo, which I've been to a few times but haven't always loved. This spot feels like it has a lot of potential, and I'd definitely come back. I just want to be honest about the execution right now, because the flavors are there.

If I could eat here everyday I would. The food is absolutely AMAZING!!!! Everything is so fresh and…read morethe quality is top tier and it shows. A staple every time I come here is the wedge salad. I could eat the whole thing. Then sun dried tomatoes are just so flavorful. It's the best. Today, I got the Gabagool pizza with the hot honey. Seriously, WOW. Even my husband said that it was THE BEST pizza he has ever had in his life. I know it's a bold claim, but it was truly that good. We also got the rigatoni, which my kids completely smashed. They absolutely loved it. ***Of all the pasta dishes, this is by far hands down the best one. The fettuccine Alfredo pasta was a bit too heavy and fell a little short of flavor. We've also had the carbonara, same thing. If the pancetta was a little more crispy and little less butter it would be good. All the staff is really nice and friendly. *Only thing I am not a fan of is the seating. People sitting on the big table won't allow you to sit in the middle or they give a major side eye. So you couldn't even sit there without feeling unwelcomed. The outdoor seating doesn't have heaters. The taller bar tables with the bar stools aren't safe for younger kids. 1 person was taking up the corner table which could fit a family of 5. It can get frustrating, and often times I don't go here because of the seating situation. With that being said I still absolutely recommend eating here. It is worth the drive from Portland or even Kalama. It is a 100% must go to. They only serve pizza after 3:00pm.

However I recently decided to try them for a cheat day. Called ahead on the drive to have a medium pepperoni. Interesting they have a drive thru window behind the building. Service was easy and friendly enough. Pizza smelled great. Pretty standard size. Visually no complaints. I've seen others complain about burnt crust (that's literally what a real pizza oven does lol). Anyway, it tasted good. Kind of an average experience. Not truly lacking, not phenomenal. Despite being regular gluten I didn't feel bloated/sick eating it. I would definitely consider ordering again. My issue is the price though. Most pizza spots have specials. You literally have dominos across the street selling 2 large pizzas for like $10-15. A medium pepperoni was almost $30. That seems like what a large or XL should be for a pepperoni or combo pizza. I like that it was semi convenient that they have a drive through and you can pick it up after running errands and such. But for $30 I'd rather have a pizza delivered. MODS pizza down the road would be pizza and salad combo for the same price. Idk. If they considered a weekday special or something it might make us order more often. For now I'm glad I tried it to know what is offered to support local spots. But definitely not my go-to due to cost and lacking cauli options.

We chose a table on the patio behind (partly to keep an eye on the bikes). As we sat waiting for menus, I glanced down and around and noticed how dirty it was. The ground near our table had several dirty napkins and other debris that hadn't been cleaned up. Our table was dirty as well. There was a blob of dried ketchup right in front of me. I asked our server if that could be cleaned up and she brought a couple wet napkins and tried to get it off and finally said, "There" and walked away. Well, it was still there. So I took a couple napkins myself and used water from my glass and after a little work it came off. The tables aren't solid so there is lots of dried goo between the slats as well. It just gave me the impression that cleanliness isn't a high priority at this establishment. One can only hope they keep the kitchen cleaner. Nevertheless we decided to give the food a try. My mom always taught me that "when in doubt order a burger. They can't mess that up", so I did, with "beer batter fries". The fries were great and I can recommend them. The burger was also pretty good. I got the cheeseburger (it has a clever name which I've forgotten). My husband was disappointed with his cilantro rice bowl, however. It was bland with not enough beans. The sauce tasted like mayo and sriracha sauce mixed together but it didn't have enough oomph to add much flavor to the dish. When our server came by and asked about the food my husband wasn't even finished answering her and she said she was sorry and walked away. Maybe you have to have enough alcohol under your belt to enjoy the food? We're out of luck because we don't drink. Sorry, Playmakers, we don't want to go back.
