My youngest and I really enjoyed our dinner from MOD. The place is always clean, simple design, friendly staff. I also appreciate they are super involved with the community and always offering fundraisers for local schools and organizations. They also have a ton of toppings to choose from, as well as alternative crust options like cauliflower and gluten free. My daughter ordered the Mad Dog which is their version of a meat lovers pizza and she devoured it. I ordered a create your own with unlimited toppings. I chose artichokes, tomatoes, spinach, red onions--which were diced and not sliced--the garlic rub, bacon, extra chicken, mozzarella, extra Gorgonzola and hot buffalo sauce and ranch on top. Kind of like a buffalo chicken pizza. It was delicious! Hurray for pizza night!

We enjoyed our pizza at MOD Pizza in Fontana a few weeks ago. My eldest daughter and I wanted to eat pizza again. There is a MOD Pizza in Rancho Cucamonga. Cool! And here we are... We got here an hour prior to closing on a Wednesday evening. Ambiance was nice. They have inside and outside seatings. They were not too busy at the time. Staff welcomed us right after our entry. The young gentleman was super nice and friendly. We ordered the same as last time... 11 inch thin crust with unlimited toppings. However, the toppings were a little different this time... Canadian bacon, bacon bits, red onions, garlic, basil, pineapple, mushroom, olives, jalapeno, roasted red peppers, roasted tomatoes, roasted corn, cucumber, artichoke, arugala, spinach, green leaf, and chickpeas. That's right... stack them up LOL. They have a drink station with various sodas and fruit drinks. We just got 2 water cups. Wait was not long at all, but then again it was just us and another table of customers. The pizza was yummy and delicious. The thin crust was crunchy. The fresh ingredients were tasty. I wished the Canadian bacon was on top so it could be crispier. I'll ask for that next time. We'll definitely be back here to get more MOD pizza when we're at the Day Creek Marketplace hitting the other restaurants LOL.

Great pizza, ordered two and they were delicious. Inside was clean and pretty quite. Most people I notice ordered to go. John made my pizza and did a fabulous job. Very professional and friendly.

The "extra cheese" that supposedly disintegrates when it goes into the oven

I asked for extra cheese. My daughter's only topping was CHEESE and when I opened the box some slices didn't have any cheese at all. I brought it to the cashier's attention and he (believe it or not) said that when it's being cooked in the oven sometimes it bubbles up causing the cheese to disappear!! Crazy!! I asked for a refund after hearing his stupid excuse.

I tried their cauliflower crust pizza for the first time (I don't eat bread so usually blaze is my go to option for when I'm craving pizza b/c they are one of the few places with cauliflower crust). I got excited when I found another place that offers it-- so I thought to give them a try. I tried to order online but it didn't accept my payment, it took my payment then cancelled/ reversed the amount on my card so I wasn't able to order online. I went in to place the order which was fine b/c there was no line. My order: BYO (Build Your Own) cauliflower Crust Pizza, red sauce, basil, mozzarella shredded cheese, pepperoni, sausage, light olives. Customer service 10/10 Cleanliness of restaurant/ food preparation area 10/10 Taste of food 5/10 Although it's cheaper than Blaze (that's who I'm comparing them to b/c I don't care for Pieology and I eat cauliflower crust so since that's a specific type of crust that's why there's a comparison) the taste was t all the way there for me. It was missing something...it wasn't as flavorful, I think it was the sauce. I'll probably go back --maybe --for the price because it was a few dollars cheaper (like $2 and some change). As far as the "pizza taste" that you may be craving when wanting Pizza but not a bread eater like me...you might not be completely satisfied...or maybe load up on more toppings.

Create your own with cauliflower crust !

MOD Pizza is located in a Stater Bros shopping center. There is plenty of parking and features both indoor and outdoor patio seating. This is don't chipotle style where you pick your crust, your sauce and then your toppings (this is for the create your own option or you can ask for one of their many pizzas). The create your own is definitely the way to go! I got the 11' cauliflower crust with traditional red sauce, basil and garlic as my base - I then topped it with mozzarella, grated Parmesan, spicy Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, green bell peppers and red onion . I then had him sprinkle on oregano, salt and pepper . Once it came out of the oven (about 10 minutes) I had them drizzle on some ranch as well. CHEFS KISS ! They also have salads you can build and lots of drink choices. My one complaint - no lunch specials ! I was really hoping for a small pizza + mini salad lunch combo ! But when the smallest items start at about $9, it would have been over $20 to get a pizza, salad and drink ! Hopefully they change that, the entire group I went with said the same!

Why do the pizza makers wear gloves but the person flattening the dough balls does not? Gross.

Pizza and chesse bread was not good. The only reason for the two stars because of the nice people that work there.

Ask the Community - MOD Pizza

Keto friendly? What do you order?

There's no keto friendly crust options. The cauliflower crust has the same amount of carbs as the regular. I either get a salad or just eat the toppings off my pizza.

    What about the beers?

They vary by location. They have some in bottles and one or two on tap, but those vary as well.

    How much are the pizza?

The regular 11" inch MOD pizza is $8.47

I had the BIEST PESTO and it was super flavorful. The ricotta drizzled with the spicy sauce was amazing. The broccolini was probably my favorite part. I even took leftovers home and they were still great the next day. I also tried the tiramisu and loved that it wasn't watery or overloaded with coffee flavor. It was served with strawberries and blueberries, which made it feel really fresh and balanced. I don't drink alcohol, so I ordered still water and appreciated that it came in a glass bottle instead of plastic. The servers were very kind and attentive, and the restaurant itself is open concept so you can see into the kitchen, which adds to the experience. The bathrooms also had a baby changing table, and the sinks are in a shared common area setup. Overall, 100% recommend giving this place a try...whether it's for a date night, business dinner, or just catching up with friends. Loved it.

We had high expectations for a few reasons: Decent (though inconsistent) reviews on yelp, part of…read morean up and coming area, and it's Italian. It's hard to hurt Italian food. Also, we were planning on going to Monaco's, but forgot it's Thursday...big deals on big pizza on Thursdays at Monaco's means big crowds. But it set our tastebuds into overdrive for savory Italian food. We should have guessed when we drove up and got a parking spot in front of an empty restaurant at 6 pm that it was going to be subpar, but we forged ahead anyway. We were greeting by a young man who kept referring to us, the two middle-aged women, as "you guys." Then asked if we had reservations...to an otherwise empty restaurant. The place was well decorated and light, though it was drafty and cold. And loud. Very loud for no one being there. The music, though a good playlist, was way too loud for such an echo chamber with nothing but hard surfaces to bounce off of. We weren't quite sure who our server was, but the young lady that took our order again referred to the two middle-aged women as "you guys." Ugh. Decent focaccia bread with dip arrived. It was OK, but cold. The food arrived in a decent timeframe, but the undercooked, starchy spaghetti was not quite warm enough. After asking three times for silverware, we finally got utensils, adding to the cooler temp of the food. So now that primary reason for a so-so review: The food was just OK. Not only was it not warm enough, but it was bland and lacked any presentation. Chicken Marsala had onions but no garlic, so it lacked depth. The Pomodoro was served with their standard marinara sauce, not pomodoro at all. Pomodoro should be a light and bright sauce with chunks of chrushed tomato, not bland marinara sauce that you would serve a seven year-old. The orchiete pasta were also undercooked...not quite al dente, not quite cooked. Lastly, there was some sort of photographer there. Part of the reason our food was cold is because he had to take multiple photos or our food from multiple angles. I could see the steam rising from it when it was being photographed, but the heat was dissipated by the time it arrived on our table. Without silverware. Then I noticed the photographer taking short videos while we were eating and we were part of the background. I prefer not to be photographed, especially by strangers. So this felt intrusive. Biest has potential, but it has a long way to go. Three things could help: 1. Train the staff not to refer to guests as "you guys." 2. Work on the preparation and presentation of the food. 3. Decrease the volume of the music. All it does is make people have to talk louder which adds to the cacophony. Oh, and don't make it look like you're photographing guests without their consent
