I loved the concept of this place! The red sauce was not my favorite, but the white sauce was delicious! You can get a mini pizza for around $5 with as many toppings as you want! The food would get 5 stars, but they lost a star for customer service. As soon as I walked in, the lady behind the counter was not friendly. I had never been here before and she did not seem willing to waste her time answering questions. The first thing she says to me is "red sauce and cheese?" I did not know what I wanted at that point, so I asked her if I could look first. She said "okay, but you need to pick a sauce." Yes, I know. She seemed to be in a hurry and there was nobody even behind me. Rude! They guy at the register was more patient and friendly. Normally I would rave about my experience at mod pizza but this experience was far from good. The moment we walked in we were greeted but when it came to ordering our three pizzas we were rushed and ignored. When I asked for some more cheese because the cheese he put on didn't even cover half my pizza he rolled his eyes and asked me what type of cheese and I responded with whatever it came with he sighed and threw some more cheese on. Once our pizzas had finished we asked that two of them have the pesto added and he again became annoyed. He put pesto on the wrong on and offered to remake the pizza. The entire time they were remaking the pizza they were laughing and talking about how funny it was that we were upset. After asking for our money back he was extremely rude and as we were leaving he yelled "peace" this was the manager of the store. He was covered in tattoos. With the employees and manager not wearing name tags it was hard to catch their name. I will not be coming back to mod pizza after this service. A decent place for az's growing market of fast casual pizza restaurants. I got a MOD sized pizza with pepperoni, spicy sausage, salami, chorizo, jalopenos, roasted red peppers and broccolini. The pizza itself was good but it was a bit salty for my taste. And the crust wasn't crispy throughout the pizza. I think the addition of broccolini may have caused that. All in all, a decent pizza. Would I come back to try it again? Sure, because every place deserves multiple visits. read more

My wife & I went in to try out this place this weekend, we drove by it so many times but never stopped in. We both ordered the MOD pizza for $7 and some change. the best part was that we could add on as many toppings as we wanted for no extra charge. The employees were super friendly and helpful, and did not skimp on the toppings. After we ordered & were eating our pizzas we realized the cinnamon sticks we ordered still hadn't come out. I asked the employee and he immediately apologized and gave me a free large fountain drink while we waited. The cinnamon sticks came right out and were absolutely delicious! The pizza itself was big, so big in fact that I couldn't even finish it and I consider myself a big eater. The crust was perfect and the toppings were plentiful and fresh. I fell in pizza heaven when I came here. The vegan/dairy free cheese is so tasty. I had to cut cheese out my diet and thought I would never get to eat pizza with cheese again. I like the variety that you can create here, but I feel like they are always a little skimpy on the toppings. We also had two out of three pizzas made incorrectly at the Metrocenter location. I feel like the staff is just rushing the pizzas through so it gives it too much of a "fast food" feeling. I went here twice for work. The first time I had a thin crust pizza with goat cheese artichoke and balsamic dressing on it. My coworker had a pizza salad. Mod pizza is awesome!!! You can put however many toppings you want on your pizza for the same price. Also, unlike a similar pizza place, they have more than 1 size. The mini is the perfect size for the kids. The mod size is perfect for adults. I heard there was an even bigger size but I have never seen it. There caramel pear iced tea is wonderful.
