My son loves this place! It's always nice when everyone can get exactly what they want. Pizza is usually one of those things where someone has to sacrifice, but these individual pizzas let's us all do away with that. They have tables blocked off and have some safety measures in place for COVID (wearing mask, fresh cups for refills, markers on the floor to help remind people to stay back) Normally these chains only get a 4 star review unless the service is outstanding, but my son won't go for anything less than a 5 for his favorite pizza place. Service definitely needs a whole lot of improvement! We got there around 7:30pm so there was plenty of time before closing, but the Sunday night crew (July 27) was ready to go home. We ordered a Dillon, a Dominic and a Lucy Sunshine to go, but when the pizzas were ready, they cannot find the Lucy Sunshine and for about 5 minutes of the crew trying to magically look at the pizzas on the counter to turn one into Lucy Sunshine, the head cook finally offered a do-over. It is customary to pile up the pizzas with the trays on top of each other once they are made to the oven? Also, why don't you require your workers with long hairs to wear a hair net specifically when that worker makes the pizzas! read more

I've never ate at this chain pizza place before. I've seen it around when we come and visit Texas and this time we decided to try it. I read the reviews before coming and a lot of people compliment the pizza but complain about the cleanliness of the place. And the reviews were right. The pizza was delicious but the place where you dine and eat looked a mess. While we were there I was surprised to see how no one from behind the bar area came out to the floor to clean tables. There was a time when they had zero customers and all the employees were just standing back there chatting. When they could have used that opportunity to clean their dining area. Went on a busy Saturday night with extended family. The line was long, but moved steadily. Any delays were due to customers being indecisive because of all the choices. I really enjoyed this place, and like the concept. It's similar to subway or chipotle, but with pizza. They have pizzas you can order from the menu, that you can also customize as they make it, or you can just make a completely custom pizza to your liking. It's a small personal size pizza, so no sharing here. I got the Dominic, but got pepperoni instead of sausage. The white sauce was really good, and overall the taste of the pizza was great. They were pretty slammed since it was lunch, so it did take a while for my pizza to get out to me. The staff was friendly, but I did feel like they weren't fully trained and they were underprepared for the lunch rush. I went in with 3 friends and I was the last to order. When it was my turn to order I had to wait a while as the staff turned over/switched spots, and they had to restock the line completely. During lunch you should be restocking as you need things to avoid having to stop completely as your whole line is down. The staff also felt like they maybe weren't fully trained. I told the staff which pizza I wanted, but had to remind each person working on my pizza what came on it. Everyone was very friendly, just felt like they needed to be a little bit more prepared. We also ordered cinnamon strips which were very tasty. We picked the cinnamon glaze for one and the chocolate for our 2nd one. The cinnamon strips are already very sweet, so I didn't like the cinnamon glaze with them, cause it added way too much sweetness. The chocolate I felt paired better since it was more bitter and helped cut through the sweetness. Overall I enjoyed the food, but would maybe go during a slower time! read more

This place used to be the epitome of Mod standards. Unfortunately now they're rude, unfriendly and nonchalant this is disappointing due to the fun atmosphere it was built on. It rocked the first few months it was here. Now it's fallen into the same haphazard failure that all franchises do after they get that one bite of glory. What a shame. Run your business. Visited this MOD Pizza Saturday night 05/11... worst experience ever! 4 employees ALL seemed to be moving in slow motion. No urgency in spite of the long line. We waited 50 minutes just to order and there were probably 3 families/groups/couples in front of us. The employees literally moved at a snail's pace, change gloves constantly. Going back into the back and back out. Only one person was making pizza at any given time. When we did get a chance to order there was no apology for the wait time or appreciation for sticking around etc. One guy left the store right after we ordered with a long line of customers still waiting. The store was dirty, noone to clean up the tables and while the pizza was just ok and it fed out hungry kids after Ren Faire, it was in no way worth the $100+ we paid and the 1 hour 15 minute wait. They seriously need to take FAST off of their sign. This was my second time to try MOD Pizza (1st time in Roanoke, which was an awful experience as well) and I will NEVER set foot in a MOD pizza again. PIE5 is the only way to go. read more

We've been here twice, once on a busy Friday night and the other on a slow Sunday afternoon. Both times the food was great, but the service was maddening. By the time we paid, both times, I elected to change my drink choice from soda to beer (thank goodness they have beer and wine btw). Pros - food and drink are excellent. Ingredients seem fresh and there's nothing like pizza fresh out of the oven. We love the sense of community and appreciating people for who they are. No stuck up attitudes here. Cons - this place is not anywhere near "superfast" as it is advertised. The wait to actually order is very slow moving. Once you get in the pizza building phase it's not too bad, but I think the 35 minute wait we had to endure to even order on that busy Friday night should count. And it just seems so unnecessary - there was a lot of confusion behind the line and repeating of orders. Both times, the first person we began our order with (the "greeter" if you will) was incredibly confusing. Which is ridiculous given the amount of time one has to decide on their order in that god-forsaken line. On our Sunday visit in particular, I almost snapped at the person. She and her neighbor actually got into a spat about who messed up the pizza for the customer before us. Meanwhile I'm standing there with my family being ignored. Once they started building our pizzas, they confused them as well and I had to become my own expediter. The only reason I would ever come back is that my very young kids are oblivious to how torturous the situation is for the adults. read more
