I ordered a four piece combo and a two piece fish fillet combo. I live 30 minutes away. When I got home and started eating my chicken combo, I noticed there was discoloration on the bottom of the roll. I assumed it was from the pan, but when I took a bite, it was clearly molded. It tasted like mold when I turned my lights on and looked at it. It's blue tinged not black. I called to give them a heads up to look at the other rolls, but they blew me off and told me there was no way that it could be mold and that it was from the pan. It's mold, it tastes like mold, smells like mold, looks like mold, it's mold. I ripped the bottom of the roll off after I took a bite. The chicken and mashed potatoes were good, my favorite, part is usually the role, but not this time. I'm almost 40, I know what mold taste like. read more

This Midlothian Chicken Express has the best service. Polite employees. I ordered the Fish dinner. Everything was so good, and freshly cooked. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you Chicken Express Employees! read more

Made order in drive through and they didn't even have the order when we reach window. Had re-enter it. But 5 cars who were not there when we ordered, got their food. I had to go into restaurant to complain before they got our food. Terrible customer service. 31 minutes before food was received. read more

Chicken Express - Mash potatoes with very little gravy. - Fast Food Near Me - Midlothian, Texas

ZERO STARS. This for Chicken Express, Midlothian, Tx 972- I bought my husband supper here at 6:00 today and the person at the window took my money, handed me the order and said Thank you. I said the same and went home---we live in another town. My husband had Just gotten home from dialysis and needed to rest before he could eat. Several hours later, he was ready to eat his requested meal. THERE WAS NO CHICKEN!!!! ONLY A BAG WITH SIDES. I tried to call several times-----the recording said there was no voice mail set up. There was absolutely no way to converse with them. How convenient to not have a phone or voicemail. Taylor P. read more

Ordered a 25 piece with two family sides had to pay extra for sides because they said they change the menu were you only get one side. I asked for green beans mashed potatoes and a large side of corn nuggets they filled the large green beans halfway for the large mashed potatoes halfway also. The owner needs to change the menu on the Drive-through first. before they tell people they only give one side now. because it's false advertisement. How you expect me to feed seven kids with half filled large orders. Its a treat when we get to get food outside the house. I called the manager Cristi was very nice and she fix the order. No problem so we are happy now thank you Cristi again. read more

Chicken Express - a sign for a restaurant - Fast Food Near Me - Midlothian, Texas

How hard is it to take someone's order? Especially after your sharp edged door tore a hole in my brand new shoes and it swings open too quickly. Seriously fix your door if someone was wearing sandals they would have a gash. The weather strip is bent and protruding. I shouldn't have to have your employees look at me multiple times without taking an order. I'm not impatient your service is terrible. I guarantee the owner won't even respond to this because they don't care obviously. What's even more pathetic is I know the employees will find an excuse to put the blame on me, just like they kept looking around on who was going to take initiative with the order. And the person who walked up to the register twice without taking the order needs to be either fired or retrained. Seriously, I bet the employees even believe that they deserve a higher wage. Yet they don't care about revenue. read more

The last three attempts to get food have been failures. It would seem they can't manage to entice people to work there. Two of the times they only had the drive through open and the third time, after waiting ten minutes to finally scoot up to the order mic, I'm informed that there is a 15 minute wait for chicken tenders. read more

Worst place ever! Unable for whatever reason to get an order correct. Over salted fried to dry fish! Can they not hear or read or follow simple orders? Less than one star. read more

Normally I give more stars and stellar reviews however today at this Chicken Express in Midlothian things didn't go well. My husband went inside for several bags of tea and ice! The young man who took the order was great. There was another guy helping the young ladies at the window. The cashier asked the guy to fill bags of ice. Why does his rude behind tell the cashier "That's not my job bro!" It was rude to say that to his co-worker let alone in front of the customer! He didn't want to make the ice bag(s). The cashier ended up making 2 bags and the rude person made one bag. Please don't hurt yourself (said with sarcasm)!! Exactly why is he there!?! The 1 star is not for Chicken Express itself as it is more towards the rude young man. read more

When you don't want to give them a star they decided to give me what they wanted the spicy tenders I didn't order all cold and I ordered mash potatoes all they gave me was gravy this place sucks never again and the sad part you can't even call them the number don't work!!!!! read more

Very disappointed in this establishment and the people who they have hired to work there. My innocent grandma went in because her order was incorrect, and the manager working there cussed her out and screamed at her for a good 5 minutes. She left bawling her eyes out. The next day she went back to get a refund, and the same thing happened. The cops were called and the manager wanted to charge her with criminal trespassing - for going inside to get a refund. Don't recommend eating here. The owner should be ashamed. read more

everytime i come here the employees are just flat out rude and don't seem to care...i have never come here and gotten my food right and when i say something they are even more rude... the food is good but the service needs some work...if you don't want to work here then don't work here plain and simple no need to take it out on others. read more

Chicken Express is as good as it gets, personally. Maybe I am bias because this has been a staple since my private high school catered them in for lunch back in Georgia, or maybe it is just THAT delicious!? It was quite inspiring to visit a location in Dallas, as this is the home of Chicken Express, and the official partner of the Texas Rangers! Everything is good to me but the highlight is the #1 or #2 with Mozzarella Sticks and Fries. DO NOT order dipping sauce for the chicken because the included gravy is there for that purpose. A sweet tea is the final piece to top off an excellent meal. read more

So their was this very nice guy with a justin Bieber like haircut that was very nice at the drive through that gave me everything that i wanted and i gave him a $10 tip for having a positive attitude.not to be rude but a bigger heavyset lady was trying to eat chicken while giving the nice guy my food and i was missing a chicken piece read more

Ordered a 7 piece spicy tender. The cashier said that would be a 7 minute wait or I could split the order. I decided to wait the seven minutes.... well 20 minutes later my order was finally brought out to me. 2nd try AND red flags were there during the drive thru experience. But I took a chance and still ordered my food. Now I'm up at 5AM with stomachache and diarrhea. Only thing I ate yesterday. Never again Chicken Express in Midlothian!!!! read more

Bought a 30 tender family meal with three sides and they refused to give me a single honey mustard sauce without charging for it.

Lobby is closed. You would think the drive through would be reasonable. Not so. 25 minutes to place our order and another 15 to get the food. It would have been longer but a couple of cars left before they got there food. They did not know if gravy came with chicken livers. Said he would "put one on there" he did and charged me for it. In addition to the one that came with the meal. Very slow service, staff does not know the menu and charged me for something not needed. This is a broken restaurant. read more

Big chicken express fan! No disappointment here.. The biscuits were particularly good at this location!

I am never coming back here. The girl taking my order in the drive thru was so rude and disrespectful and starting smack talking when she thought we couldn't hear. Then I ordered sweet tea and they gave me WATER! They gave me WATER and then when I ordered spicy chicken they gave me regular chicken. All in all I don't recommend coming here. read more

The food here is typical Chicken Express. My family loves the tenders with gravy, mashed potatoes, and corn nuggets. The family meals are a good value. I experienced a few issues with this location, specifically. First, they do not have specials here. We usually get a family meal, but the specials are great for when you are on your own for lunch, for example. Go to a different location if you want specials. Second, their employees aren't happy. The young lady at the register did not smile, did not greet us, and most of our interaction was not much beyond her grunting in acknowledgement of something I said. The employees in the back, clearly visible to the customers, were griping at each other. The management is definitely doing something wrong to have a store filled with unhappy employees. Lastly, this location does not take American Express. A lot of people, most of them not being AMEX customers, don't understand how this matters. I can tell you that it does, at least to me. It's unlikely my family of 6 will be back. There are plenty of other places to eat in town, and I drive past two other Chicken Express locations on my drive home from work in the evening. read more

Very disappointed with my last visit In there drive Thru ... my son loves the food but our last visit they asked us to pull forward which I understand because something we ordered was not ready but then they left us there for 20 min I finally got out and went inside to find out they forgot about us and our food and been sitting there for awhile the young man at the front told me. Oops... So of course when we got home everything was cold and soggy. Horrible customer service don't ask someone to pull forward if your not going to bring there food out ! read more

Chicken E is a North Texas staple, providing hot chicken to people for a long time. It's pretty consistent and offers a solid experience for a fast food chicken joint. Let's star with the basics: Fried chicken: The crust is solid. It's crispy but not too thick. Sometimes it's a bit oily and if you get a batch that has been sitting under the lamp for too long sometimes it can be a by dried out. Chicken Tenders: For the most part these are pretty good. Sometimes the chicken is fatty or chewy because it's overdone but this is rare. The tenders are hand battered and cooked in quality oil. I enjoy them thoroughly. Mashed Potatoes: These are kind of meh. They are sometimes really dry or really watery. I wish they were more consistently good. French Fries: Depending on your taste, you either love or hate these. They are not crinkle cut. They are the thin, battered fries. They are typically pretty oily and sometimes are super soggy and sometimes super crispy. Depends on the time of day and if you get them right after they are out of the deep fryer. Other Sides: Their other sides are hit or miss and range from green beans and macaroni to fries jalapeño poppers and sweet corn bites. The service is usually ok. It can get a bit crowded in the evening and the drive through can be a pain in the ass. Also, they don't take Discover card. All in all, Chicken E is pretty good. I'm more of a Bush's guy but in a pinch Chicken E will do. read more

Don't waste your time with this place unless your ok with extremely poor service. Multiple times I waited so long in the drive -thru people were giving up and driving off. The food is good if you don't mind waiting for it. I mean like 10 minutes for an order of catfish. 10 freaking minutes. Every time I go I hear "it will be a 10 minute wait". They don't have any prepared for the dinner rush. None. Amazing. If you want tenders it's all good, but catfish throws them off. They should just remove it from the menu. I won't be going back for catfish. Just not worth it. read more
