Hot Tip: Buy an Entree sized salad (or larger if available) and load it up with Unlimited toppings and take it home. It's so huge what they will fit into the container and will last for about 3-4 lunches. Every single time I order something from this location, they get it wrong. Whether they leave something out of my order or just omit a topping I've ordered, it has never ever been right. Tonight, when a DoorDash driver asked about two of the 4 things I ordered, she was told that "they were in the boxes," which was a lie. I really love this Mod Pizza location. It's super convenient across from AMC movie theater. My guilty pleasure is ordering a salad and sneaking into the theater to eat during the movie. I mean do the staff really care. I don't leave a mess. The staff are super fast, even when this place gets busy during dinner rush. And who doesn't love a beer or hard seltzer with their pizza? This really is the best place to get a salad. It's reasonably priced and comes with almost any topping you could desire. And pretty much as much of that topping as you want. Many dressings to choose from; mixed in or on the side. These ginormous salads really don't get enough credit. I can usually turn one into 2 meals so you're saving money by ordering here. I've went here off n on for years, ended up stopping because the experiences kept getting worse. Tonight will be the last time. The night manager is not fit to be a Manager, I think she's mentally unstable. She was being rude to the whole line waiting for their food. I had a really frustrating experience at MOD Pizza. I placed a mobile order, and when I arrived to pick it up it was obvious my order had been made wrong. What made it worse is that the employees clearly knew it was wrong and still put it out like I wasn't going to notice. I'm working Amazon delivery routes, so my time is limited. Because of their mistake, I had to leave, come back, and wait for them to remake the item, which took even more time out of my route. When you're on a delivery schedule, every minute matters. Mistakes happen in food service -- that's understandable. But what matters is owning the mistake and fixing it immediately, not ignoring it and hoping the customer won't say anything. If you don't want to correctly make people's food or you're going to be lazy about fixing a mistake, then customer service probably isn't the right job for you. Wanted to give a shout out to the Mod Pizza at the Kent Station. They give great service, and the pizzas come out quickly and hot enough to take home and enjoy. Plenty of seating for large groups to dine in as well. Tried their dessert chocolate chip cookie pizza and it was really good. 6 large pieces enough to share with a group. This Mod locations leaves much to be desired. It is the closest to my job, so I have been in close to ten times. I have to go in knowing that I need maximum patience. There are a couple of employees that I have seen work quickly, but overall, the pizza makers are almost always SO. DANG. SLOW. I understand conversing with your customers, but they tend to STOP making the pizza to blab at me and then forget what they were doing... They seem understaffed for the lunch rush every time and that just adds to how long it takes to get your pizza. And don't get me started about the frantic guy one day that was running around HUSTLING to compensate for the slowwww, messy girl making the pizzas and SHOUTING at her AND a customer. We all have our days, but not a good look. As for the pizza quality, I know that we will need to order in-store because it is simply the only way to get a quality pizza ("can I have more than a sprinkle, please? Nope, MORE. Thank you!"). Today was the last time I will order from this location, as I decided to risk ordering delivery... The things wrong with my pizza: No alfredo sauce base with my red sauce. Hardly any mama's peppers when I asked for extra. No additional mozzarella put on top of the pizza after the rest of the toppings, as I specifically asked for in the notes. Burnt. I don't care that I ordered dairy-free cheese, there's still an expectation that pizza has a pizza-amount of cheese on it. I have avoided this place for years... mainly because I had the wrong impression of this place. I'm not too big to not admit I made a mistake. I was very surprised and happy to find how wrong I was. I had no idea you could select a pizza style, but then it basically becomes like the adventure books and it's "build your own" kind of pizza. On top of that, it's fire roasted which is enough for me already! There's something about a wood fired roasted pizza that is just all kinds of good in this world. Maybe it's the flaky crust on the outside, with some burnt crisp corners, or the charring aesthetics giving that authentic Italian feel... or maybe in the words of my friend, Special Agent Dale Cooper, it just tastes damn good (except it's not a cup of joe or cherry pie). Either way... it's very good. "What's the kicker", you might say? How about a cauliflower gluten free crust for all those either on a Keto lifestyle or requiring gluten free foods! Makes this place even better, if you ask me. My son and I are on our way to see the opening night of The Batman... which is mostly what is Right and Just in this crazy world where people just want for no other reason than to see it burn (which Batman movie was that from?) They did not even acknowledge me when I got there and attended to everyone else who was waiting in the pick up line but me. They did not even start on the order before I got there. The people that work here appear to not want to, with everything they do appearing to be painful for them, don't dare ask for anything extra on the pizza. Lastly their moto includes speed. Now I don't know what their interpretation of speed is, but I don't think speed exists here. I told her I was gonna order something and she stood there looking me up and down especially looking at my hair??. i walked out because I didn't even feel like eating anymore. I Just realized tonight as I'm enjoying a romaine based salad (with blue cheese, ham, sausage, chicken, cucumber bell pepper, garlic cloves, red onion, pepper, and balsamic dressing), that I've taken this restaurant for granted for almost ten years without ever reviewing any of their locations! If you really want a heavenly salad experience, order a standard Garden Salad (lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber), with blue cheese dressing. Take bites of salad and chug lager beer down through the salad as you chew and swallow. That flavor pairing captured me in college years ago and I still make that salad-drink combo at MOD Pizza. Another over-the-top salad combo is carbanzo beans, red onion, cucumber, garlic cloves, mozzarella cheese, pepper and oil'n'vinegar or Italian dressing. It goes beautifully with their baked bread and believe-or-not, a mild red wine! Sherrie and I are eating at MOD about every week currently... 5 Stars to the whole resaurant chain! Love MOD when it's fresh. However, every single time, and I mean every single time I come to this location, I have to explain (and just short of train), the employees how to make a Mod Pizza Salad. This is literally right on the menu. Every single time I ask for a Mod Pizza Salad they give me a blank stare then go ask someone what that is. I explain to them and point right to the menu that it's a salad (I don't even customize is much, pretty easy), on top of a asiago cheese crust. That's it. They make the salad with me telling them how to make it in steps, like they've never made a salad before. Then it's like they forget what asiago + dough is and start attempting to put pizza sauce on it before I have to stop them. I don't get it. The turn over at this location must be insane, because at this point, I could just go back there myself and make a common menu item in 30 seconds instead of training their employees for them. Also, don't even think about doing mobile ordering. That is a total joke. Waited 45+ Minutes for my simple salad order. They told me 5-10 minutes after the scheduled ready time and it turned into 30+ minutes. If this is a staffing or employee turn over problem - then management needs to step in, or get behind the frontline and start serving customer because at this point, you might as well just have the customers serve themselves. read more

When I worked downtown I would always see a line out the door at their One Union Square location. Downtown workers like the fast-casual concept because it got them back to work on time. The One Union Square location is the original spot and tourists probably want to check it out too. Maybe it's good that Kent Station doesn't have the same hustle and bustle energy like their One Union Square location. The urgency isn't there plus customer service really isn't their forte but at least you know that going in. Reality is they just want to get you in and out. It isn't any different from a Taco Del Mar, Subway, or Chipotle. Just choose your stuff and keep moving down the assembly line till you pay. They keep the restaurant clean and you don't have to worry about being late to a movie at AMC. Parking at Kent Station is plentiful too. Either park in the Sound Transit garage or on the surface parking lot. read more

Whenever I need a quick lunch, I know I can walk over to MOD for the perfect bite in a hurry. Online ordering on my way over makes the pick-up process seamless. They have outdoor seating and additional outdoor tables throughout the plaza. I had some time to spare, so I decided to stop in a craft my pizza topping by topping. Pictured is my masterpiece from last week with fresh basil, castelvetrano olives, marinara, mushrooms & chicken sausage with a side of the balsamic fig glaze (I prefer to dip my slices in the sauce ‍). Its almost unheard of to get a substantial lunch for under $10 these days, but MOD delivers just that. The restaurant itself was very clean with the 6ft distancing dots throughout. You can order ahead online or come in to order. The process is like going to Subway or Chipotle. Tell the staff what you want, and it's made- like an assembly line. The interior is trendy and modern. Plenty of seating with vibrant wall art and decor. There's a huge menu hung on the wall, with their special pizzas and salads. Feel free to create your own though. I've been here a few times. I suppose depending on the day, the friendliness of the staff is a hit or miss. For the most part, they smile, greet you, attentive to your orders and needs, and thanks you for your business. You start off by telling the creator of your pizza what kind of crust, sauce, cheese, veggies, and meats. Sauce toppers at the end when the pizza is done cooking. Pizzas will range from about $8-$13. They do offer cauliflower crust, which is amazing since I'm on a low carb diet, and I'm always craving pizza. There are red pepper shakers, cheese shakers, and Italian seasoning shakers there as well. If you can't finish your pizza while you dine in, to go boxes are available as well. Welcome to Kent Station! The first time I ever went to a MOD Pizza was the location by the University of Washington. This location is bigger, brighter, and more spacious! The menu is printed easily on the right hand side of the wall. However, don't feel limited by the menu. You can build your own pizza and put whatever topping you want. You can also choose one of their signature menu options and just add more to them if they don't have all the toppings you already want. I went with the Jasper on the regular size dough (which is 11 inches). They also have a mini size if you're looking for a smaller bite, and salads as well! To the Jasper (which is red sauce, mushroom, sausage and cheese) I added red onion, basil, and spinach. They bake it up and in no time it comes out with a thin, crisp crust. I added pesto drizzle on mine at the very end. I love the crust here because it's thin and has a nice crisp to it. The dough itself doesn't fall apart from all the toppings. All the ingredients taste fresh. My friend built his own and he added pretty much every topping on his pizza. There was a mound of toppings but by the time it baked, it all melted down beautifully. For one price, it's a steal to put as many toppings as you desire! Service was fantastic (and I hope they keep it up because I know they just opened). All the people working there were bubbly and friendly. They didn't skimp on any of the toppings and they always checked to make sure that they put enough on the pizza. Really great! We ate dinner here before attending a show at Showare Arena. The restaurant was clean and well staffed, slightly busy so the wait was a little long but understandable. The pizza was reasonably priced, as well as good. If you are looking for a quick bite, that is reasonably priced and quick, I would go here. Only reason I docked it a star is the employees seemed to be slightly unhappy. They were very kind but not smiling or joyful to be there, kinda got a bad vibe walking in. So we frequent to MOD on Kent kangley at least once or twice a week. So my daughters and I decided to check out the Kent station location because we were hungry and in a rush. The young lady who served, and prepared our pizzas was courteous enough, no complaints here. Plus they did bake my pie light baked like I asked. However, it was so gross, it was pretty much inedible, but we were in a rush, I was hungry, and I ate parts of my mini of what I could. If you see the bottom of the pizza, it had little black lines, well the bottom tasted like burnt bristle brushes. Like someone either forgot to clean the oven, or they did brush it and bristles were left behind. Needless to say it was horrible, that it put me off to ever eating at another MOD again. Every time someone ask me I say NO! My daughters agreed, that they would rather fly to SoCal and get Blaze pizza, same concept but so much better. We had Blaze first and were excited when MOD opened up around the corner from our house. So I think I need to recover before ever going back to one. Plus for some reason every time I ate at MOD pizza I would have stomach issues, and end up with diarrhea. At first I thought it was medication I took, but it only happens when I eat at MOD. Went in for lunch here today. The staff member who was initially making pizza had on a mask but the one who was in charge of putting pizza in the oven did not. I watched as my pizza was made and while all of the other staff had on masks, this girl on the oven (who was also taking payments) still had no mask. So when it was time for me to pay I asked her if she had a mask she could wear while she was handling my pizza. She said she DID have a mask but didn't want to wear it because it was too hot. Okay, I get that there's an oven in there but there's also a PANDEMIC out here. If I'm not allowed to enter the restaurant without a mask, they shouldn't be allowed to MAKE the pizza without one. I will say she finally put a mask on, but only after I asked. I'm sure had I not said anything, she wouldn't have done that. We all have to make adjustments right now. I'm sure wearing a mask is not as bad as being fatally sick or getting someone else sick. They have a door they can open if needed. read more

I came in to pick up an online order, the girl making the pizza said it's almost ready, it's being worked on right now. 10 minutes go by and I see customers who came in after me get their pizza. 20 mins go by and I go up and ask her again. She then looked over and lied again to me and said "sorry it's being prepared right now." I looked over and see the workers just standing there doing nothing.
