The staff is incredibly rude and impatient. Many of the guys working on the line have very long hair that was not tied back and seemed very unclean, every single employee had a bad attitude and were not happy with making customizations to the pizzas, and the girl working at the very end cutting the pizzas and boxing them up threw a fit when I asked her to add pesto sauce to my pizza. Off the chain. First time for me and definitely not the last. The concept is fantastic, similar to chipotle or salata, in which you choose the toppings. The fact that you can get unlimited toppings for one price is awesome. In and out of the oven quickly and tasted so good. I normally don't eat the crust but I devoured the whole thing. Just made our first trip over to MOD. As many others have commented, in simple terms MOD is sort of a Chipotle for pizza -- go through the line, tell 'em what you want on your pizza, pay, wait a few minutes, and your pizza is ready. All the ingredients seemed to be of good quality, and there are lots of choices, with no limits on number of ingredients. MOD uses a relatively thin, cracker-type crust (some concession has to be made for speed). I still found it to be superior to most crusts found in this area, and well-cooked in their oven. We also tried the gluten-free crust, and it was one of the best I've had. Service was good and friendly. Small but local beer selection (think Karbach), good looking salads (didn't try one this trip, but later), shakes (probably good, but I'm unlikely to ever order one). Nice, casual but hipster-esque vibe. Prices are quite reasonable, and MOD is a great option for a family/group where everyone can get their own choice. We'll be back... read more

My family just moved to Cypress-Spring area and wanted to try good pizza. Saw yelp and went to MOD. This place is like subway. You can select your ingredients and size and they will toss it in a brick oven. Pizza connoisseur will tell you that this is a wrong way of making pizza. Preparing a mature/good tasting pizza requires lot of trials and errors as to which ingredient at what temperature retains certain moisture and taste, when to stop oven, wait for a cool down and then serve. I didn't see any sense of culinary knowledge within the concept of this place. My pizza had some charred portion and some vegetables had lot of moisture- that is what happens when there is no thought process by the chef. I noticed that previous reviews do not show much depth of taste but just rambling- come on Houston! The staff was not very friendly either. My pizza arrived cold and after 1 hour of order. I like the concept of "build-your-own" anything so I was impressed with Mod for this reason, although the lady making my pizza was kinda rude. I called ahead of time to ask if there were vegan-friendly options and was informed that they had vegan opts. When I got there, I asked my assembler which sauce was vegan and she looked at me like ???? and said "yeah I don't know what that means" with an attitude. She was really nice to my friend but rude to me as if I were asking for too much, the look on her face made it seem like making my little personal pizza was so difficult. The guys behind her, who I probably spoke with over the phone, told me to get the pesto sauce because the "red sauce" as he called it had cheese in it. The pizza didn't take very long in the oven, and for 2 pizzas was only $12.50. My pizza was good with a couple squirts of Sriracha but my friend said they burnt the hell out of his, probably because he got a bigger size. Since I've gone vegan I'd been craving pizza and I was super excited and happy to try Mod out because they had vegan options. I was later informed on an Instagram post that their pesto sauce is not vegan, which I should've known and double checked because pesto sauce is usually made with cheese (duh Josie get it together!) but it's upsetting that they told me it was vegan when it's not. I went to Mod pizza for the first time. The location I went to is in Town Lake in Cypress. I took my whole family to eat there. The staff was very rude didn't look at us when we ordered our food and seemed like they were getting agitated when we were ordering! The pizza was delicious by far the best pizza I've had sadly the staff needs some education class on how to greet there customer! I waited to see how they would treat the couple behind us after I paid, and to my surprise they got treated the same. I will have to say I will look for another location to eat Mod pizza cause this one here SUCKS! read more

Fast, highly customizable thin-crust pizza at a great price ($7.47 for the 11"). My favorite part about this place is that they have garlic (white) sauce for pizza, woohoo! They only have one preset option that uses it (Dominic) but that's fine, just build it however you want and still pay the same flat rate. I've been coming to this location since it opened, and it's always been good, and everyone has always been friendly, but last night was the best thanks to a bodhisattva named Cece who happened to be working when I came in. Not only did she make the most aesthetically beautiful (and delicious) pizza and salad I've ever seen constructed at MOD, she is the only person to ever inform me --- when I ordered a cheese-free, veggies-only pizza -- that MOD has dairy in their red sauce. I ordered it anyway, but it's great to know. No one else ever bothered to ask or inform. She also offered to warm up the chicken my wife ordered for her salad, which no one else had ever offered to do, and which my wife said made her salad so much better. The menu has great variety for toppings and drinks. However, they lack the crust variety. I went to order my pizza and honestly, some of the employees seem like they just want to get their shift over and are not exactly inviting. But it may have been just a rough day. The pizza was almost delicious. The toppings were great, but the thin, half-burnt crust was a total game changer. It was quite disappointing in that aspect. Love this place. I get all the meats (except anchovies) and it's an absolutely loaded pizza of deliciousness. A pretty great price too. Under $8 for a fully customized medium size pizza is good in my books. I eat a lot and it fills me up nicely. Good thin crispy crust and perfectly cooked. This MOD on Louetta is the only one I've been too but it always makes my pizza just right. I have always enjoyed MOD pizza but now they are on my do not order from list and hit up the local mom and pop restaurants going forward. I ordered from MOD pizza Champion Forest & 99 with my cell phone. As soon as I hit submit I noticed there were 2 11" pizza's on there and I only wanted one. Called the number listed for them right away and was put on hold for 8 minutes. When I finally got to speak with a person they said sorry to late we already made your order, my response well if you had't put me hold for 8 mins. Bottom line I got stuck with 2 11" pizza when I normal only order 1 6" and order cokes to hit the $15.00 limit for delivery (this was before I knew I had 2 pizzas). Total bill $41.25 ordered the more expensive cokes in plastic containers got the cheapest cokes in the glass container's. Received test about the service with MOD rated it bad, but wait get another text and the rating was for Door Dash not MOD Pizza.
