When we got in line to order, the place was pretty empty, so we expected a quick and easy interaction. My brother asked for one pizza, but the worker kept mishearing or misunderstanding -- repeating back things like "one pizza and a salad?" then "one salad and no pizza?" and even after we clarified multiple times, he finished with "one pizza and a salad? Got it." At that point, I had to firmly say, "No salad." He looked at me and repeated "One salad?" before saying he was just joking. It didn't come off as funny -- it came off as rude or sarcastic, especially when we were clearly trying to just place a simple order. Later, when we were about to leave, my brother went to get a drink refill, and the same worker looked at me and asked, "Y'all both ate the pizza?" Again, I wasn't sure if it was a joke, but it felt unnecessary and a little passive-aggressive. The food itself was fine, but the service really affected the overall experience. Celebrated with a day-date with the hubs! Been two weeks since we tied the knot :) and we were greeted with beautiful sunshine and cauliflower dough pizza with the yummiest toppings. I've only tried MOD once before in my life, and it was this same location, but when they first opened...and I recall a not so great food experience. But, more recently my hubs tried their cauliflower pizza and said it was tasty, so I decided to give them a second chance! To my delight, the cauliflower pizza was really light, crunchy and tasty. Perfectly baked in their oven with the outer layer slightly burnt and crispy, and evenly distributed toppings...I appreciated that they had chorizo as a topping. It made the overall meal a bit on the heavier side, but nonetheless delicious. Today was perfect patio weather day, so we took full advantage. I was semi disappointed with customer service and the cleanliness of the restaurant. I saw staff behind the pizza counter making line just standing around. They look relaxed and disorganized. Not at their proper stations, dirty patio tables outside, but restrooms were squeaky clean. It was after the lunch rush, so I don't know why tables weren't cleaned. Also, I ordered a bottled coke that required the cap to be taken off, but I had to get up and go back to the register area to ask for them to pop the cap off...then I also had to get up and ask a staff member to go clean the table for us. Great place for extremely customizable pizzas! For one price ($7.47 for 11"), you can choose as many toppings you want. They have 4 types of sauce, 5 types of cheese, 9 types of meat (Italian sausage can be mild or spicy), 14 types of veggies, and 3 different types of spices. Ingredients looked fresh and tasted great. You can really MOD the perfect pizza and can get the best bang for the buck. The crust came out crispy and partially charred which is a good thing. It also stilled had a slight chewy dough texture too so it's not like a cracker. On mine I chose: Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Feta, Italian Sausage, Crumbled Meatballs, Grilled Chicken, Canadian Bacon, Artichokes, Olives, Roasted Red Peppers, Red Onions, Mushrooms, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, and Chopped Basil. (That's 15 different add-on ingredients). The pizza was made quick so our lunch break wasn't too long. There may have been too much on my pizza because some ingredients didn't go well with others, so next time I'll have to change it up. Sometimes having more choices can lead to bad decisions so choose wisely! We also tried the dessert pizza which tasted just like a pillsbury toaster strudel. As far as ordering, they have a wall of recommendations for you to choose from. But imagine it like subway. All the toppings are there so you can literally build your own pizza. Or add to one of their recommendations. Which is nice. Because no one likes blue cheese. Or you shouldn't like it, it's mold. Gross. I digressed. Back to the pies. Their crusts are thin and crispy. They do have a gluten free option that I have to have, thanks genetics, but it's still very good. They offer salads but I can't say I've ever had the urge to get one at a pizza place, but they do look good. Just not for me when there is pizza. And should be noted, they sadly don't have a sod salad option. You have to buy a salad which is the same price as a pie. So yeah won't be having the salad there.
