I have been to this location multiple times and always leave having a great experience! The pizza is always fresh and the Calexico pizza is where it's at! We are here three times in the first week they were open. The food is great and reasonably priced. One of our pizzas got messed up. They made a new one quickly and upgraded us to a bigger size! Pizza is a favorite for my twin boys and this is perfect for them! Drinks (iced tea and lemonade) and milkshakes were great too. read more

No thanks. Been there in the past and the pizza was nice and crispy. This was half cooked and parts were raw dough. Limp, wet, unappetizing. Only ate the crispy outer crust. And it wasn't just my pizza. Every pie we ordered was the same. Pizza joints are everywhere. I will go elsewhere. read more

My family had our first experience at MOD tonight. We were all very satisfied and impressed. Cute modern environment with friendly staff. We ordered three of the large pizzas.... Plain cheese, sausage and pepperoni and tomato basil... which seem tiny, like a medium size at a regular pizza shop, but were filling and yummy! The crust is thin and crispy, just perfection! Ordered 2 milkshakes as well, Cookies and cream and salted toffee....which were also delicious. The five of us will definitely be going back. read more

This is a new place that just opened across from where I live, and I had been waiting for this to open and when it finally did, I had to try it. I walked in and all the employees greeted us nicely, and a man told us about the menu. You can build your own or you can pick from one of their classic pizzas, and modify it. The Build Your Own was great because you can get what you want, and they don't charge extra for more toppings! They have a bunch of milkshakes, and drinks. And the quality of the pizza was great. I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't have the same experience as the other reviewers. I had placed an order online, thinking that it would be easier. I ordered a pizza and a milkshake. When placing an order online it gives you a time estimate for when it will be ready, mine said 25 minutes, ok fair enough. When I get to MOD there is maybe 8 other people in the place, all who had gotten their food. I think to myself "sweet! Mine is done or near done" WRONG. After having the 4 guys behind the counter stare at me (actually 3 guys, one was too busy with his phone) until I told them I had placed an order online, they preceded to stare at each other and told me they didn't know what I was talking about. Finally, they find my slip and precede to make the pizza. Once the pizza was ready (way longer than the 25 minutes btw) they give me the box without the milkshake. I ask for the milkshake and again I get the stare from behind the counter. Thankfully a guy who kind of had a clue came out from the back. Another couple minutes and my order was finally complete. The pizza itself was just OK. This place is only getting 3 stars because it's conveniently located and that guy made a dang good milkshake. read more

I loved the pizza and the concept! All fresh ingredients. You can literally customize your own pizza and it's ready in minutes! I prefer the thin crust...more flavor with the toppings and less carbs. There are teens working here but I love that the owner employs the kids in the area! It's getting harder for kids under 18 to find jobs and I can appreciate any teenager that wants to work, so kudos to MOD pizza for hiring them! The location is accessible, the décor was very cool. Everyone around me seemed pleased as well. My daughter loved making her root beer float! We'll be going back. read more

It was our first time at MOD and it will probably not be the last. All of the pizzas we had (The Dominic was a favorite) were phenomenal, as were the inhouse made lemonades and teas. My five year old daughter loved her milkshake. The food was made in a timely fashion with quality ingriedients and the crust was fantastic. We'll definitely be back. read more

Awful. I went in around 11 on a Monday morning, tubs of food were all over the counters and a young woman had headphones in, and was rushing around cursing, not sure as to what was going on. I simply ask "are you guys open?" And she replied "sure I guess, what would you like?" She took my order and checked me out at the register but never removed the headphones. She held a nice smile and composure.. But what blew my mind aside from that she was holding a conversation on her phone through headphones the entire time I stood there, was that after handling my money, she cooked, cut and boxed my pizzas without washing her hands. This restaurant is crazy good. I just found out about it from some friends when I came home from college. The pizza is delicious. The staff is helpful, and on top of everything the service was just as fast as promised. My pizza was cooked in just a few minutes, and despite the short cook time I was thrilled with the results. The thin crispy crust was cooked to perfection. The MOD size "Dillon James" pizza I ordered looked like a work of art, and tasted even better. I couldn't be more happy with my MOD experience, and will surely be back to the Brandywine location and others in the near future. read more

The quality of the pizza was awesome. We also got the cinnamon strips (great for the kids) and the garlic strips (great for the grown-ups). The meal was expensive for pizza, $40 for two medium pizzas and two mini pizzas with the two orders of strips and two fountain drinks. For all that, the portions were small. We ate every last scrap of food and my four year-old complained that she was still hungry when we left. I would consider trying the large pizza for my husband next time, but that will also increase the size of the bill. Bottom line, if we can find away to fill everyone's stomach, this is a high-end pizza experience that is family-friendly. read more

We've been there a few times, and have been satisfied to happy with the food overall. The service does leave a little to be desired though. I did an online order today and scheduled it for a specific time. I showed up 10 minutes early and went up to the counter by the register and stood there for about a minute so I could let them know I was there to pick up my order in case it was in process. There were 3 people "working" in the prep area. There were a few customers that were looking at the menu, so they weren't busy with them. One person maybe glanced my way but didn't say anything or ask if I needed help. Since I was a little early for my order, I sat down with my son for a few minutes. Then I went back up to the counter, finally got somebody's attention and gave my name. They pulled my order out from the top of the oven where it had been sitting the entire time I was there. I could have been in and out of there in 1 minute, but ended up sitting there for 10 minutes while my food got cold, defeating the concept of online ordering and having scheduled times. The food is decent, but if my experience is consistently like this, I don't think I'd go back. read more

What a great place! I love the concept of design your own no-limit toppings. The staff were great. The choice was fabulous. The personal-sized pizzas meant we all got to have our own choice and not compromise for the greater good! And to top it all the pizza tasted great. One complaint? Nice guys. Very friendly and helpful. Ingredients are ok (grilled chicken was highly processed and the pizza dough comes out of a machine in 2 sizes). That said, this is the only pizza crust that my husband has ever eaten, and the lemonade is great!! There are other authentic artisan pizza shops in the area that are more awesome. read more

Don't get me wrong Mod Pizza is great. I think the choose your own toppings is a great idea . However, it is super slow. The back of their shirts say super fast, but they are by no means fast. The last time I went, they ripped my first pizza and had to re do it. After re doing it they burnt it which was disappointing. 2 stars. read more

I'm here to tell you about my experience at MOD Pizza. I was totally disgusted by what I saw before leaving. Don't get me wrong, my pizza was delicious. Staff was very nice. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a friendly hello. As I was standing in line I noticed they continued to say hello to every customer that walked in the door so that must be mandatory in order to work there. I couldn't believe how happy the staff was. After receiving my pizza I sat down and ate the pizza there. Before leaving I figured I would use the restroom before heading on my way since I had an hour drive to Delaware. When I opened the door there was a female in there clearly dressed in a MOD shirt sniffing white powder off the sink. The girl was so high off whatever that she was leaning against the wall to stand up. She didn't even noticed I was there. I couldn't believe my eyes that. I was so upset I immediately went to the register and ask for a manger. I was told he just left to go to school and he wouldn't be back for a few. I didn't have much time so I figured I would write a review not only to warn the public but the head manger and corporate. After speaking with the guy at the register I walked back to the restroom to see if the female was out so I could use the facility. As I was walking back to the restroom I pasted the same female that was in the restroom using drugs. I asked her what was her name was. She reply "Liberty". I said Liberty I hope your day gets better. By the look on her face she was confused. But I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone unless you call in and pick up your pizza. My nephew died from a drug overdose so this is something I strongly disagree with! It's crazy you can't even go to a pizza place now a days without walking into a drug addict doing drugs in the bathroom!! This is completely unacceptable. Liberty needs help and I pray MOD takes this matter seriously! read more

I just got a pizza here. There was no line, and they took my order right away, but the pizza took 18 minutes (I timed it, with nothing else to do) to come out. It tasted pretty good, but if I wanted to go to a pizza place and stand around for almost 20 minutes, I could have gotten a real pizza. Coming from NJ where we have some of the best pizza in the country, I found this place to be vastly overrated. The concept is interesting like one of the many burger + shake places with substituting make-your-own pizzas for the burgers. In certain parts of the country where pizza is well below average, I can see how a place like MOD Pizza can absolutely thrive, but I found the pizza (the core product) to be merely average in taste. The garlic strips side was absolutely horrendous (below the quality of what you'd find at a Cici's Pizza Buffet). One thing the reviews fail to mention is that pizza plus a shake is a totally unnecessary fat & calorie bonanza. To give credit where it's deserved, the staff working at MOD Pizza was excellent in service and explaining menu options, but can't make up for the average tasting pizza being served here. The money adds up when you throw in sides and drinks to the point where you could have had a much cheaper and better meal ordering from a trusted local pizzeria. read more
