The pizza is decent and the price for the amount of toppings is great. The service however is ridiculous. Literally every single time I've come here I've had an issue with my order. Pizzas made wrong, waiting almost an hour for online orders, a hair in the pizza one time and I even got food poisoning from the salad once. The last two times I have been, they completely skimp on toppings. My pizza had 6 slices of pepperoni - what?!?! This was not a mini pie either. They didn't put the sauce anywhere close to the edge of the pizza. They left like 2 inches of dry gluten free crust with no sauce or toppings around the entire pizza. They also have changed the gluten free crust at some point in time and what they have now is terrible. Thin, dry and tasted stale. I will not be going back for a long time. read more

I like the pizza here, but this location has some serious customer service issues. I have ordered numerous times through the app and my order has never been completed by the promised time. It's obvious they don't know how to balance online orders vs in-store orders as well. I had a pickup order set for 5:45pm tonight (sent the order at 5:17pm) and I showed up intentionally 8 minutes late because my orders have NEVER been ready on time as previously stated. When I walked into the restaurant, I asked if my order was ready for 5:45 pickup time. The girl looked at a few tickets then quickly turned around to address pizzas in the oven, but didn't say a word to me. I figured she was getting my order. Nope! No apology, no stating I'll get to it ASAP, nothing. That is a major customer service and/or training issue. I patiently waited without saying another word as walk-in customers came in and received their pizzas before me. All customers should be prioritized the same. It's just infuriating because this is not the first time this has happened. I didn't get my order until 22 minutes after the promised time tonight. None of this would be an issue if they just acknowledge their customers as they walk in and apologize if an order is not ready at the promised time. I understand places get busy and sometimes can be understaffed although it didn't appear that way tonight. It happens. I'm not looking for discounts or free pizza, just simple human empathy. Please train your employees on simple customer service techniques of which I have 20+ years of experience. It will go a long way and avoid reviews like this. We love MOD pizza. The food is great! However the service is subpar! We went in on June 7, 2023 @ 8:15 pm. We ordered our pizzas for dine in and requested a Blue Moon from the tap. The young lady asked for the person in charge for serve the beer and the other worker replied, "they are all too busy to do it." Ummm, ok. So, we had seen the person who was old enough to serve. My husband is from the East Coast and is very picky about his pizza. I stopped last week in Gig Harbor to get him a pizza on my way home from work, expecting that they wouldn't be able make it to his liking. I asked them if they would watch the pizza to make sure it didn't have burn marks on it, a tall order considering it's cooked in a pizza oven. I brought it home and it was perfect. He asked me to get him one again this evening on my way home from work. While I was waiting to order, I noticed they have a cauliflower crust, so thought I'd try one. They were quick, the restaurant is pristinely clean, and the staff are friendly. Another perfectly cooked pizza. And the cauliflower crust on my pizza was fantastic. I saved some for my dad because it was so good I wanted him to try it. He loved it. I like MOD pizza, but this location is not great. It is not nearly as fast as other stores. It is similar to a restaurant run by high school kids that don't really care because it is a restaurant that is run by high school kids that don't really care. Every online order goes to the front of the line even if it arrives after you. I had 5 pizzas jump in front of me after they started my order. There needs to be a separate prep line for online orders. The current layout is poorly designed. The person behind me saw what was happening and left so it is harming their business. Hopefully the bottom line gets bad enough that they make an effort to improve this store because I do like MOD in general. I would get lunch here weekly if they could clean things up. read more

Gave up pizza a year ago, tired of the same commercial tastes. We ordered MOD on a Friday eve for delivery of two customized pizzas. They were delivered within 40 minutes. The pizzas could not have been fresher, it was as if we pulled them out of our oven. The crust was by far the best I've ever had. And the pizzas were full of fresh, customized and downright unbelievable flavors!! This was a pizza I took my time eating and truly enjoyed the mixture of the various toppings. I had reg. crust, white sauce, chicken, artich hearts, feta, asiago, tomatoes, olives and roasted garlic. Sounds crazy but it was amazing!! The new girl with the orange headband was by far the best employee working at the time of my visit. We walked in and there were two people at the counter having a conversation with a male employee with a ponytail who saw there was a line and continued the conversation. Then when the other patrons walked away the ponytail employee did not acknowledge the line. Another male employee who was wearing shorts saw the line and proceeded to go on break. My two pizzas along with two others sat on the rack to go into the oven while the ponytail male proceeded to do other tasks. Instead of "skip the line and order ahead" this location fulfilled every in person order first. When I checked on my order I was repeatedly lied to- I was told three times my pizzas were in the oven and they were not. Don't bother ordering online, they don't care. If there was an option for zero stars I'd give it. Ordered pizza and bread sticks from here last night, never had it before. Let's start with the cheesy bread sticks... they apparently missed the step that says add cheese, there was only 1.5 sticks that had any sort of anything that remotely resembled cheese. They were the greasy ones so we assume it was cheese. The pizza's were thin crust, I like thin crust pizza, but the crust was more like a tortilla shell. All the sausage and cheese was distributed evenly in about a 4" circle in the middle leaving the rest of the tortilla with just sauce. Tostinos pizza are better prepped, and taste better. It was a complete let down, I've heard that Mod pizzas were good... I beg to differ, don't waste your money. Go buy a frozen pizza from the grocery store. read more

I placed an order online at 5:45 for pick up at 7:00pm. I arrived at 6:50 and went to the pick up area to wait. I watched as several people walked into the restaurant, ordered their pizzas, and then preceded to get their food and eat it. At 7:30 the other online orderers and I started inquiring where our food was, we were told "oh, we're really behind." Then they'd go check and say "its in the oven now". We wait even longer, watch even more people who ordered after us get their food. I finally asked the manager if they prioritize in store orders because obviously they don't mind being 50 minutes late for online orders. I was already 20 minutes late to get to the hospital, so I said I needed a refund and magically my pizzas were finished at 7:56pm. I have no problem if they are super busy (and yes, they were busy tonight) but you need to work on your prioritizing. I shouldn't be seeing people walking in, ordering and being served before the large crowd of online orders get their hour late pizzas. read more

I first visited MOD in Covington years ago and was so excited to hear they were adding a location in Gig Harbor! This location is within walking distance from my house so it is very convenient and easy to get to! Customer service is top notch, very clean and cheery environment and they definitely go out of their way to make regular customers feel appreciated!
