Everyone here is so nice--Ivan made my pizza perfectly! Old-school customer service with friendly smile, great eye contact, cheerful tone, what a great young man. Love the sauce here-- spices instead of sugary. You can get pizza anywhere, it's the nice folks who work here that keep me coming back. read more

I like MOD because their pizza isn't all greasy and gross like many other joints! I never have stomach issues nor feel bad and my kids love it too. The service is good and the inside is clean. I like how you can orders whatever you like and it gets prepared and cooked quickly. If you want a good pizza you need to hit this place up. read more

MOD Pizza - a pizza with onions, mushrooms, and mushrooms - Pizza Near Me - Gig Harbor, Washington

I ordered two pizzas from this place for pickup. When I arrived, I was told that due to a problem with their printed order tickets, only one of the pizzas had been made. They apologized and promised to issue a refund immediately for the missing pizza. This happened on Friday, June 5, 2026. By Monday, June 8, I still had not received the refund. I called to find out what was going on. Both employees I spoke with--one of whom appeared to be the manager--claimed they knew nothing about the refund and said they would have to contact corporate, which could take 7-10 business days to process. This is completely unacceptable. They charged me for an order they failed to fulfill, promised an immediate refund, and then acted as if they had no record of the situation. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed shift changes and internal processes. The level of customer service is below zero. I would not recommend this place. read more

Mod's no name cake is magical. I couldn't stop eating it on the first bite. It's like those old fashioned donuts from the grocery store but with a cream that blends so well with the thing it's in. And I don't even like Ho-Hos. These definitely are their better counterparts. 10/10. read more

Food is Ok. Very understaffed resulting in very long waits. Do not recommend. There were only 4 people working. The only guy making pizzas had to run the till also. read more

I'm a regular online but today I decided to eat inside because I had a free pizza voucher. It must have been expired because they told me they'd still honor it! I really appreciated that and I was already a happy customer, but now I'll be coming even more! The staff were efficient and super friendly! I have a dairy allergy and I always appreciate that they have cheese alternatives. I would recommend getting the app because they constantly send me deals. read more

I'm stoked that a MOD finally made its way to town. First, I'll edit this post after I've been here four times so I can speak to the consistency and let the "Just Opened" kinks get worked out. First time at this location today (12/22/2019) and they have some work to do on the culinary experience. Staff: very friendly but could have been better. Our pizza artist explained she was the "weak link" and the other artists helping her didn't come across as being to helpful to her. Not a good team bonding atmosphere from what we could tell. Food: inconsistent. My daughters crust was baked to perfection (she gives her foodie experience a 4 star) but mine was not fully cooked and the crust had a strange "cleaning product smell" taste to it. That's hard to describe but the thought was in my mind. Bathrooms: clean and tidy Lobby: also clean and tidy Vibe: coolio read more

The pizza is decent and the price for the amount of toppings is great. The service however is ridiculous. Literally every single time I've come here I've had an issue with my order. Pizzas made wrong, waiting almost an hour for online orders, a hair in the pizza one time and I even got food poisoning from the salad once. Then when you ask them to correct their errors the teenage staff act like you are the issue. Maybe it's just this location...I don't know but I'm losing my patience with this place. read more

I like the pizza here, but this location has some serious customer service issues. I have ordered numerous times through the app and my order has never been completed by the promised time. It's obvious they don't know how to balance online orders vs in-store orders as well. I had a pickup order set for 5:45pm tonight (sent the order at 5:17pm) and I showed up intentionally 8 minutes late because my orders have NEVER been ready on time as previously stated. When I walked into the restaurant, I asked if my order was ready for 5:45 pickup time. The girl looked at a few tickets then quickly turned around to address pizzas in the oven, but didn't say a word to me. I figured she was getting my order. Nope! No apology, no stating I'll get to it ASAP, nothing. That is a major customer service and/or training issue. I patiently waited without saying another word as walk-in customers came in and received their pizzas before me. All customers should be prioritized the same. It's just infuriating because this is not the first time this has happened. I didn't get my order until 22 minutes after the promised time tonight. None of this would be an issue if they just acknowledge their customers as they walk in and apologize if an order is not ready at the promised time. I understand places get busy and sometimes can be understaffed although it didn't appear that way tonight. It happens. I'm not looking for discounts or free pizza, just simple human empathy. Please train your employees on simple customer service techniques of which I have 20+ years of experience. It will go a long way and avoid reviews like this. Just a simple apology would have made this review a 4 star (not a 5 only because it was still late). read more

The last two times I have been, they completely skimp on toppings. My pizza had 6 slices of pepperoni - what?!?! This was not a mini pie either. They didn't put the sauce anywhere close to the edge of the pizza. They left like 2 inches of dry gluten free crust with no sauce or toppings around the entire pizza. They also have changed the gluten free crust at some point in time and what they have now is terrible. Thin, dry and tasted stale. I will not be going back for a long time. read more

We love MOD pizza. The food is great! However the service is subpar! We went in on June 7, 2023 @ 8:15 pm. We ordered our pizzas for dine in and requested a Blue Moon from the tap. The young lady asked for the person in charge for serve the beer and the other worker replied, "they are all too busy to do it." Ummm, ok. So, we had seen the person who was old enough to serve. She was popping back and forth between the front and back talking with the boy, but yet can't help a customer? Not impressed at all. read more

My husband is from the East Coast and is very picky about his pizza. I stopped last week in Gig Harbor to get him a pizza on my way home from work, expecting that they wouldn't be able make it to his liking. I asked them if they would watch the pizza to make sure it didn't have burn marks on it, a tall order considering it's cooked in a pizza oven. I brought it home and it was perfect. He asked me to get him one again this evening on my way home from work. While I was waiting to order, I noticed they have a cauliflower crust, so thought I'd try one. They were quick, the restaurant is pristinely clean, and the staff are friendly. Another perfectly cooked pizza. And the cauliflower crust on my pizza was fantastic. I saved some for my dad because it was so good I wanted him to try it. He loved it. I would also mention that everyone was wearing their face masks and the restaurant was plainly marked for social distancing. The prices are also right! A new favorite. Great job! read more

Shitty service. A friend and I met for lunch here and got dirty looks when we said we wanted to sit. The vibe was generally unfriendly from the whole staff, and when I went up to get a to go box for my salad, the girl I asked rudely interrupted me and gave me a pizza box?? Wtf??? Seriously??? The salad itself was barely edible, but at least the cheese sticks were fine. read more

I won't be returning back to this mod ever again. The sad part is they do not know how to prioritize orders properly. I ordered way ahead at 8:30am to have it picked up at 5:30pm. It is now 5:45pm and my order has still not been cooked. When I went to ask about my order the lady got frustrated with me. Please steer clear of this location, as it's not a good representation of the brand. I love mod but this will cause me to reconsider my choice for pizza in the future. read more

Finally!. We loved Mod pizza in Denver, and we've been waiting for this place to open. It was not dissapointing. The pizza at Mod is fantastic. Build your own or pick from their menu, all for one flat price. The ingredients are fresh, and the crust is thin and crispy. read more

I like MOD pizza, but this location is not great. It is not nearly as fast as other stores. It is similar to a restaurant run by high school kids that don't really care because it is a restaurant that is run by high school kids that don't really care. Every online order goes to the front of the line even if it arrives after you. I had 5 pizzas jump in front of me after they started my order. There needs to be a separate prep line for online orders. The current layout is poorly designed. The person behind me saw what was happening and left so it is harming their business. Hopefully the bottom line gets bad enough that they make an effort to improve this store because I do like MOD in general. I would get lunch here weekly if they could clean things up. read more

I placed an online order at 6:07 that was promised to be ready at 6:29. I did not receive my order until 7:21. Instead of "skip the line and order ahead" this location fulfilled every in person order first. When I checked on my order I was repeatedly lied to- I was told three times my pizzas were in the oven and they were not. Don't bother ordering online, they don't care. I saw multiple online order placed after me come through and when I asked about that I was told "yah, sometimes they get mixed up." Very frustrating. read more

If there was an option for zero stars I'd give it. Ordered pizza and bread sticks from here last night, never had it before. Let's start with the cheesy bread sticks... they apparently missed the step that says add cheese, there was only 1.5 sticks that had any sort of anything that remotely resembled cheese. They were the greasy ones so we assume it was cheese. The pizza's were thin crust, I like thin crust pizza, but the crust was more like a tortilla shell. All the sausage and cheese was distributed evenly in about a 4" circle in the middle leaving the rest of the tortilla with just sauce. Tostinos pizza are better prepped, and taste better. It was a complete let down, I've heard that Mod pizzas were good... I beg to differ, don't waste your money. Go buy a frozen pizza from the grocery store. read more

Gave up pizza a year ago, tired of the same commercial tastes. We ordered MOD on a Friday eve for delivery of two customized pizzas. They were delivered within 40 minutes. The pizzas could not have been fresher, it was as if we pulled them out of our oven. The crust was by far the best I've ever had. And the pizzas were full of fresh, customized and downright unbelievable flavors!! This was a pizza I took my time eating and truly enjoyed the mixture of the various toppings. I had reg. crust, white sauce, chicken, artich hearts, feta, asiago, tomatoes, olives and roasted garlic. Sounds crazy but it was amazing!! I would like to mention, when you're ordering for delivery, please make sure your driver is tipped well. They rightly deserve it. We're MAD for MOD read more

The new girl with the orange headband was by far the best employee working at the time of my visit. We walked in and there were two people at the counter having a conversation with a male employee with a ponytail who saw there was a line and continued the conversation. Then when the other patrons walked away the ponytail employee did not acknowledge the line. Another male employee who was wearing shorts saw the line and proceeded to go on break. My two pizzas along with two others sat on the rack to go into the oven while the ponytail male proceeded to do other tasks. If it weren't for the friendly demeanor of the girl with the orange headband my husband and I would have walked out. read more

I came in today and stood there for 5 minutes, the two girls didn't even say hello or welcome, they just ignored me so I left. They were doing a big order I'm just surprised they wouldn't say "hi welcome to mod pizza" or have one girl do the big order and the other girl do mine since I only had two pizzas?? Super bizarre. I placed an order online at 5:45 for pick up at 7:00pm. I arrived at 6:50 and went to the pick up area to wait. I watched as several people walked into the restaurant, ordered their pizzas, and then preceded to get their food and eat it. At 7:30 the other online orderers and I started inquiring where our food was, we were told "oh, we're really behind." Then they'd go check and say "its in the oven now". We wait even longer, watch even more people who ordered after us get their food. I finally asked the manager if they prioritize in store orders because obviously they don't mind being 50 minutes late for online orders. I was already 20 minutes late to get to the hospital, so I said I needed a refund and magically my pizzas were finished at 7:56pm. I have no problem if they are super busy (and yes, they were busy tonight) but you need to work on your prioritizing. I shouldn't be seeing people walking in, ordering and being served before the large crowd of online orders get their hour late pizzas. read more
