So good! This was only my second time having mod but my first time ordering for myself and I was so pleasantly surprised! The staff was so friendly and there are so many options! not only was my pizza tasty, but also plantbased/vegan with no upcharges! I got an original mod crust with regular red sauce, dairy free cheese, plant-based sausage, and several veggies. So tasty and it was only about $10! Also, the marion berry lemonade mixed with iced tea is a delicious drink! For gluten free friends, the cauliflower pizza crust is 1000x better than their gluten friendly crust. I almost gave up on mod pizza after eating the cracker that was the gluten friendly crust, but after seeing a tik tok for the cauliflower I gave it a second chance. It completely changed my mind and this is an incredibly convenient and affordable GF pizza option ! I love that the vegan sausage is also gf and my pizza came out crispy, moist, and flavorful. We came here around 11:30 on a Saturday, and it was rather empty. It did fill up pretty quickly after that. It's your typical built your own pizza establishment with pre-designed pizza and customizable. There were a good 6-8 employees in the cooking center. I docked a star because I found the application of the ingredients to be really sparse and slow. I watched for probably 3 minutes as the lady slowly tried to spread the wee bit of pizza sauce on the pizzas. We got 2 pizzas, and they could have been more generous. We also paid an additional $2 for a gluten-free crust because my daughter has Celiac disease. They change their gloves to prepare the gluten-free pizza, use different utensils, and a different pan. How often do you find places that accommodate celiac? A single pizza from here fed both of us and we felt as though we overate. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. The employees are eager to help and patient with those who need time to look over the various options and offer assistance by informing you what is popular, what they have tried, and what they like. It's been awhile since been to Mod Pizza. My first was in Rialto, Ca and I fell in love and my last visit was in the Phoenix area. This evening we decided pizza was in our future and off we went. This location was very busy, mostly with young families, which was a nice surprise. The line went quickly despite the crowds. Although they have a selection of pies to choose from, you can pick your own toppings and thin or double ( thick) crust. They have different cheese toppings also once you've created your ideal pie . My other half went with meat toppings, his favorites being sausage and pepperoni. He even managed to throw in mushrooms and olives with red sauce. I decided to try the double (thick) crust since I've been craving it lately. I went with choosing my own vegetable toppings and went crazy! Yummm! It did take a while waiting for those pizzas to come out, but I was busy people watching and chatting with my guy. It was fascinating watching all the ways people could eat their pies. Boy, were our pies hot when we got them and smelled delicious. We both were happy with the size since we were counting on having some to munch on later. Will we return? You better believe it! Whenever I'm hungry and can't decide what I want to eat and my husband doesn't feel like having the "What do you want to eat?" repetitive argument that most couples have, he just...brings home the bacon! My husband and I are Frequent Flyers to MOD (Northfield) because we can make whatever our tastebuds are shouting for! With our weekly trip we can experiment by MODifying our pizza with different toppings or keep it simple with our normal yummy order. Hubby is all about BBQ Chickening & Bacon while I get down with the loaded veggies. We get our own pizzas too... and I don't even ask for a bite of his! We love that they offer gluten friendly bases, dairy free cheese, and a long list of delicious, fresh toppings, including artichokes, roasted red bell pepper, pineapple, roasted garlic, and much more! Apathetic and jaded staff that can't get orders right, cut a pizza without getting cheese everywhere, clean up their unsanitary counter, and the floor conditions were just abhorrent. No greeting, no eye contact, no service, and no manager on duty that seemed to care. Myself and about 4 other customers were ignored while we waited for online orders.
