Exactly what youd expect from a college student run food joint. You have to ask to have them to spread the ingredients out otherwise they just throw clumps of food in random spots on your pizza. Also you cant rely on them to have your order ready when it's scheduled, i set a pick up time for 6pm, showed up to a busy store at 6:05 asked about my order and they told me they hadnt made it yet.. so my lunch break is now wasted and i have to get my money back because i dont have time to wait around. It's a make to order pizza place. You can choose from a number of their classic selections, or make it your own. I chose the gluten free crust (yay!) and then you walk down the line and can add whatever sauces/toppings/herbs you want. FOR ONE PRICE. I did a half red sauce with pepperoni and a half pesto with chicken and then lots of vegs. Once it comes out of the oven, you can choose to finish it with a number of sauces. I normally really love MOD!! The employees at this location are really nice and helpful and the pizza is usually really good, but the last few times I've gone they've burnt my crust :( The crust is my favorite part of the pizza too, so it's pretty disappointing when I order take-out, get home, and then open it to find the crust so burnt it's completely black. If you're going to do take-out, I recommend checking your pizza before you leave. Or, better yet, maybe find a different pizza place. read more

My family and I love this place. The staff has always been super friendly and cheerful. It's in a great, popular location - which can kinda suck for parking on the weekends, but it's a good problem to be "too busy." The food is awesome, a bit pricey, but they say they use quality ingredients and if you really load up a pizza or salad, it's worth the price. I like getting a large salad and TONS of toppings. Best salad in Chico, if you ask me. The pizzas are thin crust, so if that's not your style, maybe go for a salad or find somewhere else. I don't get the point of the biggest pizza. It's not any wider, it's just two crusts. Such a weird concept and totally not my thing, but I guess others love it. The medium sized pizzas are still small for big eaters like me, but that's where the ginormous salad comes in to play. The shakes are thick and delicious. They have a great selection of different drinks including non-caffeinated drinks, which is great for pregnant moms and kids. Every time we've been there the customers and staff seem really nice. Mod has been a good place to eat at but I recently had a bad experience with a worker. I had ordered my food online and got there to the pick up line and asked for my food by name and so did my friend. The worker takes our names and instantly ignores us. We waited there in front of him for five more minutes no response. We then sat down for another 20 minutes where I get the urge to ask for my food again because a bunch of orders are getting dished out. He then proceeds to pull my order from behind him and says nothing. I asked if it had been ready and he said yes. I honestly felt completely disregarded by the worker the first time i approached which is why I feel like he didn't check for my order to begin with, it was ready the whole time. As a somewhat picky eater, I like the concept of this place, everything is customizable. Pick a salad or pizza, pick your size, then add as many or few toppings you want for a single price. I ordered a 6" mini pizza and then added 3 meats, two cheeses, and a few veggie toppings. It was exactly what I wanted so what's not to love. Their crust is thin, which I like and allows them to get the food out quickly. They offer gluten free crust and dairy free cheese. No thick crust options that I saw. Yes, you can make your own pizza, choose topping me but I like to choose off the board and the one I always liked to order is no longer up on the board. They say they have dairy free options and will work around allergies, but couldn't even make sure that a pizza did not have cheese on it (due to a bad allergy). The girl flat out refused. With a free mod pizza business card i retried the restaurant and was very content. I ordered the Ella a delicious combination without red sauce and added fresh arugula at the end. The lemon squeeze really perked up the flavor and the sir racha squeeze gave it a lil fire. , my husbands mad Dog was also good with a switch up from mild to spicy sausage.
