When we asked about the delay, our server, Justice, apologized but explained that he had to make drinks for other tables, so we'd just have to wait. The restaurant was dead when we visited, yet we still sat there largely unnoticed for far too long. When a place is that empty and you're still being ignored for 90 minutes, that says a lot. The food didn't make the wait worth it. The pulled pork was fatty and unpleasant, and the barbecue sauce was bland and watery -- not what you want from a barbecue joint. To make matters worse, no additional sauces were offered even when we specifically asked. The sausage came out burnt. My son ordered lean brisket and got a plate that was essentially all fat. Another son tried to order ribs, only to be told they were out. The one bright spot was the brisket chili, which was genuinely excellent -- but one good dish can't carry an entire meal. The fries were fine, nothing more. The value doesn't add up either. A combo plate at $24 that doesn't even include brisket is honestly a little absurd for a barbecue restaurant. Bottom line: between the poorly prepared food, the missing menu items, the questionable pricing, and service that left us waiting nearly 90 minutes, we would not recommend Jim N' Nick's and won't be coming back.

The food itself was fine, but the temperature was inconsistent. Some items were nice and hot while others were noticeably cooler, which took away from the overall meal. The restaurant itself was pleasantly clean. I am absolutely appalled by the abysmal customer service experience my sister had at Mod Pizza, all thanks to the utterly disgraceful behavior of an employee named Julia. Let me be crystal clear: this review isn't just about a simple mistake or a minor inconvenience. This is about the blatant disregard for a customer's dietary needs and the sheer lack of professionalism displayed by someone who is supposed to represent the company. My sister, who happens to be vegan, simply asked Julia about the ingredients in the tomato sauce at Mod Pizza. Instead of providing a courteous response, Julia had the audacity to brush off my sister's concern, claiming there was "nothing wrong" with the sauce despite the fact that it contained cheese. This level of ignorance is not only unacceptable but downright dangerous for individuals with dietary restrictions. Moreover, rather than addressing the issue with professionalism, Julia's behavior took a nosedive into the realm of gossip and mockery. It's nothing short of appalling that she chose to discuss my sister's dietary requirements with another employee in such a manner that it was palpable to my sister herself. This breaches the basic tenets of customer service and reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. But wait, it gets even worse. When my sister reiterated her vegan status and pointed out that the plant-based meat also contained dairy, Julia's response was nothing short of appalling. Rather than apologizing or attempting to rectify the situation, Julia had the nerve to ask, "Anything else you'd like to add?" Excuse me? Last time I checked, it's the responsibility of restaurant staff to accommodate customers' dietary needs, not dismiss them with such callousness. Let's address another issue here: the timing. Yes, we were aware that it was close to closing time. No, we did not waltz in at the eleventh hour expecting to be treated like royalty. However, that does not give Julia--or anyone else--the right to neglect their duties as a customer service representative. Whether it's five minutes before closing or five hours, every customer deserves to be treated with respect and consideration. It's evident that Julia's apathetic attitude stems from a severe lack of training and empathy. Her behavior is reflected poorly not only on herself but also on Mod Pizza as a whole. If this is the kind of service they condone, then I have serious doubts about the integrity of their entire operation. In conclusion, my sister's experience at Mod Pizza, courtesy of Julia's incompetence and disregard, was nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise anyone with dietary restrictions or even an ounce of self-respect to steer clear of this establishment until they address their glaring issues with customer service. Mod Pizza, consider this my scathing review--and a plea for some much-needed improvement. read more

I also gambled $20 and ordered another pizza from them, expecting to be disappointed, but hoping for otherwise. My five-star rating shows that the otherwise for which I'd hoped became a reality. This pizza from Milano's was one of the best I'd received from a pizzeria. The crust was firm and cooked through. The toppings were flavourful. Particularly of note, the pizza came with a very acceptable amount of cheese, though I did not order extra cheese. And it arrived hot right out of the box. Milano's hit all the marks on this one. I see the King of Fire truck around all the time. They frequent vendor events and so do I. I have eaten their pizza twice. Both at events. One was about a year ago and the second was today in Fort Mill, SC. I waited 55 minutes for one 10" pizza. There was only one person in front of me when I ordered and a LOT of people waiting. Never did I ever think it would be 55 minutes for a pizza. I got a buzzer when I ordered at 5:10pm and I waited around for 15 minutes. I saw at least three people approach the window stating they waited 45 minutes or an hour for their pizza. I instantly regretted ordering. I didn't want to wait that long. They hadn't told me but I also didn't ask. I was a vendor so I couldn't leave my tent for too long so I went back to my tent with my buzzer after waiting 25 minutes. My buzzer still didn't go off at 6:00pm when the event ended! I walked back over to the truck and there were still people waiting for pizza. All other food trucks had their windows closed and people were packing up. One woman started talking loudly at the woman in the truck saying that they were waiting 45 minutes. One lady said she was told it was a 25 minute wait but was also waiting 45 minutes. The woman in the truck said they had so many tickets they were stacking them and couldn't help what came out when and couldn't do anything about it. Then she said the tickets were going out in order. That was definitely not the case as I asked the people around me when they ordered and they ordered after me and they started getting their food. I went up to the window and asked about my order. They asked me what I ordered. I told them and I also tried to show them my email confirmation. They didn't even look for my ticket. They just started making things on the fly. They said to give them a few minutes. Within 5 minutes I got my pizza. I hurried back to my tent in hopes to stuff down a piece before packing up my product because the event was over. Opened the box, pulled out a piece and completely undercooked. So I put the piece down. Packed up my things and cooked it in my own oven when I arrived home an hour and a half later. Essentially I waited an hour for a take and bake. What a waste. Two pieces of advice to KOF: Be concerned more with quality than quantity. At any point if you were running behind, you could have closed your window for 10-15 minutes to catch up so there were not so many dissatisfied customers. Second, kindly inform people of the REAL wait time before placing their order. Just put a sign up on the window. Had I known it would have been an hour wait at a festival, I would have picked a different truck. Oddly the first time I got their pizza a year ago, it was burnt. But I figured it was an off day. Two times is enough for me to say no thanks moving forward.
