placed a order from here through came back with a receipt on the bag with red letters "Hoe" called the placed and the manager who was in the back was very rude about this situation didn't seem like he cared and said I was in the wrong when It came from his store called back after two mins and he was gone so I guess a ghost wrote it.

Shrimp, fries, and hush puppies

Food was good, the service was great. The place was to dang hot to enjoy eating my food. Had to box it up and take it home.

I was not going to post but over the years the portions here have gotten smaller and smaller. I ordered a chili cheese burger and this is the chili I got. I'm done ordering from Showmars!!

Seafood platter

I always love going to Showmars! Staff were super sweet and very helpful. Food was delish! Gyro was so flavorful and tender. The seafood platter was delicious and fried perfectly. Restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating options. Look forward to returning!

Chicken skewers

I went for lunch and it was busy, but they had great service! I tried the chicken skewers meal, and everything was very tasty. This was a huge serving and I ended up having leftovers because there was so much. Next time I may try to get the mini entree instead, but I liked the combo of the salad, pita, chicken, and fries.

Pepper Jam Pita Burger with onions added. Absolutely delicious!

The most friendly staff ever! Helpful with menu selections, side choices. etc. I asked about the special return of the Pepper Jam Pita Burger. It came highly recommended. I added onions. It was out of this world great! My appreciation to the great staff! No name on the receipt? Very clean restaurant!

Fish sandwich

Came here for their 40th year anniversary special of the 40 cent fish sandwich. Haven't eaten at showmars in over 15 years. Was pleasantly surprised at how good their fish sandwich is. There were 4 to 5 pieces of lightly breaded flounder in this sandwich. Coated with the right amount of tartar sauce. The bread to fish ratio was great, I never felt like there wasn't enough fish like some of the other fish sandwiches I've eaten. Will try their spicy fish sandwich next time.

Bad nasty lettuce

The food was bad I ordered a all American pita and they gave me bad nasty lettuce also the food was cold and the service was terrible the guy I front had a attitude and gave me the drinks all dripping on the side I couldn't even hold them and no one came up to see if we needed anything else like other showmars NEVER COMING TO THIS SHOWMARS AGAIN

Erin M.

This place never disappoints. I love the gyros, the calabash shrimp, hushpuppies, and the French fries of course! They are reasonably priced and have daily specials. I always ask before ordering what the daily special are, which is the entree and then it comes with a side. The staff is always friendly, kind, professional, and patient. You also can call in and order for take out!

This time, I ended up at The Wine Shop just down the way and it turned out to be a great second option, the kind of place that feels immediately comfortable even when you're showing up solo with time to fill. It was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon, but I found a seat at the bar where I was warmly greeted and with a big glass of water set down before I even had to ask. I ordered a glass of the Malbec with an Argentina label and paired it with the pimento cheese that arrives bubbling in a skillet alongside a huge pile of pita wedges that could easily feed two people if you were so inclined. The wine was absolutely excellent, the cheese was hot and spicy in all the right ways, and before I knew it, my phone buzzed with the text that Mrs. K. was ready to be picked up. We'll be back to Ulta soon enough and when that happens, I'll be right here at The Wine Shop, settling in and waiting it out with no complaints at all. It was moscotto and looked like it had been shaken because it continually overflowed the bottle, so much so she put it in the ice box to contain it. There was wine on the table, floor, and (of course) the ice box. All she said was "That never happens." No apology, no offer to replace the bottle (we lost at least a glass and a half of wine), and no discount. I decided not to ask for manager purely because we were with friends and I didn't want this to become the "focus." On top of this, however, service was generally bad. We didn't order food, but it took about 10 minutes for our friends to have their order taken, another 20 for food to come out, another 10 for one person's food to arrive (she had a pizza that should've cooked the quickest), an extended period for the offer of the check and grabbing our cards. The only positive is the food seems good (based off of our friends), but that's it. I personally would never reccomend this establishment due to the lack of courtesy and attentiveness.

OneSixty Kitchen and Cocktails delivers an unexpectedly upscale experience in a modest strip mall…read moresetting, proving that good taste does not need a trendy zip code. Tucked into a retail plaza on Shopton Road, flanked by a dental office and a Goodwill, OneSixty feels like it has been airlifted in from a more polished part of town. The interior is sleek and inviting, with a lounge-like ambiance that sets the tone for elevated dining without the pretense. Mrs. K. and I arrived early, around 6pm, and were greeted with warm, attentive service that never felt rushed or performative. Her shrimp skewers were beautifully grilled and generously portioned, and she graciously let me sample one--delicious, with a subtle char and well-balanced seasoning. My Buffalo wings were meaty, spicy without being overwhelming, and served piping hot, which is exactly how wings should be. What stood out even more was the bartender's easygoing approach to crafting a non-alcoholic cocktail. No raised eyebrows, no shortcuts--just a genuinely pleasant drink that felt as considered as any mixologist's signature. It is a small gesture, but one that speaks volumes about the restaurant's inclusive hospitality. And speaking of small gestures, do not miss the whimsical signage on the restrooms. It is a playful touch that adds personality to a place already brimming with charm. OneSixty might be geographically distant from Charlotte's nightlife hubs like South End or NoDa, but it is carving out its own identity in Steele Creek with style and substance. Whether you are a local looking for a refined night out or a visitor curious about one of Charlotte's quieter corners, this spot is worth the detour. What I found interesting was the additional charge for substituting gin for repo in my drink when neither were top tier premium alcohol. Anywho, the salmon bites flavor was cool but the amount you get is minimal and the size of the bites are miniature. I came, I saw, I won't be back.

This place was outstanding and the service was so kind and attentive! Don't get me started on the food and drinks.. I highly recommend the alcoholic Arnold Palmer-- it was the best drink I ever had. The cherry lemon drink was really good too. We got the Buffalo Chicken dip starter and it was just like my mom used to make. We also got chicken wings, which came in a huge variety of sauces and dry rubs. The waitress recommended the Buffalo chips as our side (they're a secret item you can get off menu!!) and it was my favorite thing we got. PLEASE add to the menu because they were a home run. They're potatoes but they're cut the same way they do pickle chips (like a wavy cut so they get super crispy) and then deep fried. Boy howdy, they were THE BEST potatoes I have ever eaten. The place was cute and clean and it's supposedly connected to an indoor golf place that I wish we would've popped in and looked at. We are huge fans and we will be back asap!

When I got there just about 6p, the place was packed and it was LOUD! There was no way we were having a conversation there. We asked for a table on the patio and were quickly switched to much nicer accommodations at a 4 top, open air but covered patio with multiple wide screen HDTV's and one dedicated to MTV music. Our server was a young man named Ean who took good care of us. He knew the menu well and gave us a great overview of the specials. I had the Mahi tacos on flour tortilla with tasty mango sauce. Michelle had the grilled chicken salad and Sherri had the chicken wrap. We all agreed the food was good but there was a problem with a cocktail that Sherri ordered and she had to send it back TWICE. There was NO carbonation in the soda so she ended up with an Old Fashion. This place is VERY busy and extremely popular, especially on a Saturday evening. During the middle of the week I decided to try a newer restaurant I hadn't been too for my birthday…read moredinner! I had been hearing good things about Firebirds in Fort Mill and as this was my special birthday meal I felt this might be the place to go. We arrived a little after 4 on a Wednesday evening. You can see from my pictures that the decor was very warm and cozy. There were tables, booths and combo bench/tables. Also there was a large bar you could sit at and enjoy the atmosphere. Our waitress was super friendly and was very attentive to our table. She answered our questions we had like about the Ranch Rings. Turns out it's just a side of ranch you can did the rings in. She also offered us some bread for the table which we never turn down. It was warm and the whipped butter was soft and easy to spread! The Rings were amazing! Very crispy and fully cooked. You didn't get that onion pulling out of the coating that I hate. And there was so many of them that three of us split this very easily! For my dinner I was going all in with the Surf N Turf. A 9oz bacon wrapped filet with a half pound lobster tail! I also got the seasoned steak fries for my side. Again the waitress was great asking what extras I needed with my meal, i.e. ketchup, melted butter, steak sauce etc. For the most part my meal was excellent. The fries were crisp on the outside but had a good fluffy potato on the inside. The lobster was presented outside the tail and was easy to remove and then slice up to be dipped in the butter. The bacon around the filet was fully cooked and not rubbery at all! But it looked like they had cut into the filet to check the temp. I did as for it to me Medium and it was probably a touch over but there was some pink inside so it was ok. Overall it was good but I didn't have that eyes rolling back in your head OMG YUM moment. My parents both decided to try their three course meal. You get a starter, an entree and a dessert for a reasonable price. Both my parents chose the mixed greens salad for their starter. They both enjoyed it and was surprised by the size of it expecting to get smaller portions with this three course meal deal. Again they were surprised when their entrée's arrived. A full rack of ribs and a large grilled sirloin steak was presented to them. Dad very much enjoyed his parmesan mashed potatoes before attacking the ribs. Mom asked for her steak to be medium well but it looked well done instead but it was fine for her. Unfortunately her mashed potatoes arrived cold. Our waitress was on it and brought a side of piping hot mashed potatoes for her very quickly. For dessert mom got the bread pudding which came with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream and side of caramel sauce. Dad got the creme Brulee petite cheesecakes. I swiped the ice cream from mom as she didn't want it and poured some of what tasted like house made caramel sauce over it. It was delicious! By the time we were leaving over 90 minutes later the restaurant was getting quite full. The food and service was all very good. It's not the type of place I'm gonna come to every week but for those special nights out when you want a cozy place to relax and have a good meal, this is the spot!
