40 piece wing (garlic Parmesan and barbalo)
Krystle M.

So I love their wings but they can improve in so many ways. I tried calling in to place an order because I know it takes them a long time to make your order. I called and was immediately placed on hold. I held for minutes and then called back. I got a busy signal every time I called back for over an hour. I was at work and was trying to place an order so it would be ready when I arrived and I wouldn't have to wait there. When I got there I notified them their phone wasn't working and asked did they stop picking up the phone. The togo cashier told the bartender the phone wasn't working and he stated good!! I was so astonished by his comment I said no not good for customers trying to call in orders. He later tried to clear up the comment but I was threw!! I asked the togo cashier how long for an order and she asked me to place the order and said it would only be about 20 minutes but she would confirm after placing the order. Then she told me 40 to 45 minutes thus the whole reason I wanted to place the togo order in the first place. No one tried to even help the issue. It was basically tooo bad for me. I really tried to order from somewhere else but I really wanted their Barablo wings. I hate to say this but I don't see me going back. However their wings and ranch are amazing!!! I have never had any of the other items on the menu but they are always busy and run some cool specials. They just need to do better!!! Meatball sub with waffle fries
Bruce K.

For pizza, I'm going to be at Luigi's but today I tried someplace different. Carmella's for a meatball parmesan sub with waffle fries. The fries were limp. The bread had a texture that suggested a microwave rather than a toaster. The cheese was nicely melted, the sauce was bland and the meatballs were tasty but a little rubbery. Sorry, guys. A couple of big screen TV's tuned into sports channels plus a couple of video game machines to keep the kids entertained.

Fries were hard as skipping stones! Avoid this place!
Paul D.

Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this dump. If I could give it no stars, I would! The place is filthy. Everything feels like it has a layer of old grease on it. I made the mistake of having my arm on the table for more than a few seconds and my skin started fusing to it. This pit obviously hasn't been clean since it was a bellacino's years ago. Calling what they serve pizza should be a punishable crime. I've had more appetizing pizza from a box from the grocery store. You'd think a place with Pizza in their name would actually know how to make one. All I ordered was a couple of slices and fries - all of it was completely inedible. The food was old and reheated. F'ing shameful!!! Seriously, you should be f'ing ashamed of yourselves for considering what you serve food. The food could be considered a lethal weapon if thrown at someone - or, worse yet, force feed someone this manure. Listen very, very carefully . . . Do not waste your time or money on this place, especially when there are so many better pizza options in the area. Namely, Portofino's and Luigi's!!!

The white pizza was perfect. Just the right amount of ricotta. Crust was soft and golden brown.

Very clearly the best late night pizza option in Charlotte. May just be the absolute best pizza…read moreoption period. We stopped in here for a weeknight late bite when our options were somewhat limited. Thankfully at that hour, street parking in NoDa wasn't too bad, we got a spot just off the main drag. Slices here are GIGANTIC, one is easily about 3 standard slices of pizza, or two normal NY size slices. We got a pepperoni and a cheese. The pepperoni had nice kick to them and the cheese was a high quality. You had to let the pepperoni grease drain onto your plate a bit, but that is expected. The thing that makes both slices so good is the garlic butter bath all around the crust that you can see them doing in the kitchen. Not just that, but the texture in the crust will make even non-crust lovers think again. You're basically left with big doughy garlic butter breadsticks. Definitely a 5 on taste. My only complaint, and I'm sure it is partly by design to keep people from staying long, the stools you can sit on to enjoy your pizza inside the restaurant are THE WORST I have ever placed my derrier on. Even for 15 minutes, it wasn't just uncomfortable, it was painful. It took me a couple blocks to start walking correctly again. Might as well just get rid of them and have people stand to eat. Terrible. Almost knocked a star off for it, that bad. Regardless of the world's worst stools, I would come back for more pizza and just plan on not eating it there.

Loved the layout with seating inside and the open window out front, very inviting! Will add, best eaten fresh as when taken back to our hotel, it did lose its crispiness! A couple of bites is all ya need to prepare for their delicious pizzas. My go to is light on the Pepperoni Well Done (important) and a side of hot honey sauce and a side of plain honey. Because the hot stuff ain't no joke- I have to turn down the spice by mixing the two. Then it's like the best Sweet and Salty you can dream of then the heat kicks you in the face in the best way. To top it off don't even think about leaving before you have one of their brown butter chocolate chip cookies! They are ridiculous and a must. If no room in your belly make sure to get one to go and you can heat it up to perfection when you get home.

The reason we came in to order to-go was because we weren't happy with the Door-Dash delivery of same last time. The pizza just didn't travel well. This time with our to-go order it traveled a bit better and was fresher. We think it would be even better (4 stars) if we dined in. We also had a nice salad of mixed greens with dried cherries and the like, but it didn't come tossed. The dried cherries were in one corner, the onions in another ... you get the idea. Tossing would have made it easier to eat on-the-go. But the service people were very nice, and the store was clean and roomy with a semi-open kitchen. We'd give this place another try next time when dining in.

Review for Pizza Baby…read more After a relaxing Vinyasa yoga class and sound bath at The Coterie Wellness one evening, I found myself hungry--and conveniently, Pizza Baby had just opened in the same complex. Perfect timing. Since it was still new, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and I decided to grab a table outside. The outdoor seating was lovely--relaxed, comfortable, and a great way to unwind after a wellness session. I'm a sucker for thin-crust pizza, especially when it's hand-tossed and thoughtfully prepared, so one item immediately caught my eye: the rosemary pizza with hot honey. Sold. I added Italian sausage to the pizza and paired it with a fresh green salad (I can never resist a good Green Goddess dressing). Yes, it was a little on the pricey side, but the quality matched the cost--and I was genuinely pleased with my choices. The crust was thin and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the hot honey added just the right touch of sweetness and heat. This is definitely a place I'd return to--next time with friends--so we can share a few different pizzas and appetizers and really explore the menu. A few practical notes: * Parking is generally easy since the restaurant shares a lot with neighboring businesses in the complex * There are several nearby spots, including a wine bar and entertainment venues, which make the area feel lively * There was some early parking congestion when a nearby church held services, but the situation has since been addressed with signage and coordinated parking solutions It's nice to see businesses and community partners working together to make things run smoothly. There's also another location of Pizza Baby that I plan to visit, which speaks to how positive my first experience was. Bottom line: Great thin-crust pizza, pleasant outdoor seating, and a convenient stop after yoga or an evening out. A solid addition to Charlotte's growing food scene--and absolutely worth checking out. And if you're already in the area for a class or wellness session, it makes for the perfect post-workout reward.

It had been sitting there under the lights for too long. Because the place was busy, and we do have empathy for how hard servers work, we did not send it back or say anything. Just ate as much as we could The meatball appetizer was small and not overly flavorful--a lot for $14, just to add that in. Also, many of the appetizers are cheese-type dishes, which feels like a bit much if you're already there for pizza. Why PB puts SO much sauce on their pies, I don't know. They could save a few dollars by cutting the amount in half. Maybe their other pies are not as soggy, and the fact that margherita pies have a more watery cheese is a factor. Still, we nearly had to eat it like soup. The service was fine--could've been a little more attentive. But there are a dozen other pizzerias in Charlotte that are much better.

Their patio is so fun, the street you overlook is pretty chill so there weren't a lot of cars or noise. The area has good enough traffic for decent people watching, that's always fun. Our server was so funny and cool. I wish I could remember his name, but he was having a good convo with the person I was with about basketball and it was just really nice. It felt like I was home on my couch hanging with friends. It's such a cool chill place. I loved the pizza, olives app and the old fashioned. It was nice to actually meet the owner too, he is the person who greeted us when we walked in and he was really nice. This place just seems like a good neighborhood spot. If I lived closer I'd probably go a lot more often. Great spot!!
