I've been to both Bend locations numerous times because I love the toppings that are offered. That is the only reason I am not giving it a one star. Never have I seen a slower prep line. It's almost as though it's a requirement to move as slow as humanly possible. Also, I have yet to have someone be friendly. Getting them to interact with you is nearly impossible. First time to MOD pizza. Excellent crust, and all the toppings are free. How can you beat that? I made my own wood fired pizza oven at home and this is exactly the crust condistency I strive for when I'm at home. This made to order pizza with fast delivery is a good business model...I think they will do well. We did have a small wait in the order line, but that was ok as it gave me time to think about my topping selection. I ordered a pizza tonight and had it delivered. In the first couple of bites there were long blonde hairs in it....gross! I called back, spoke to the manager and asked if he could have a replacement delivered. He was aloof and didn't seem to care that customers were getting hairy pizzas. He told me to deal with Doordash. I didn't even order through them; it was Postmates. Postmates app is not user friendly and I couldn't even get through to them. Come on y'all! It appears this location has only been open a few months, and the newness has not worn off. Very busy and a long line to order. Quite loud. Cute, urban loft style, with exposed rafters, industrial lighting, sealed concrete floor. Ordering was a snap, much like a deli for pizza.... pick a size, and follow your pie along while they add the toppings of your choice. Unlimited (or so they say) for one base price. I felt they were a little stingy with the sauce and cheese, but they were very cheerfully willing to add more on request. Price seemed reasonable. Best part, even though we had a long wait to order, our pizza was probably ready in under 6 minutes. The finished pizza was very tasty, you could tell it was fresh sauce, and quality ingredients. I like that you can have any item on a pizza that you like but I don't like how stingy they are with the cheese. For me the cheese is the main ingredient and from what I've experienced so far the cheese doesn't even cover the red sauce. If you ask for more then the PM adds about 2 strings more of cheese - just not adequate. So I'm done with MOD. There are so many other choices no reason to stick around a sub-par establishment. read more

OK, first I'll say the pizza is delicious and I love all toppings choices. The staff is always super nice too. But, dear owner or manager. Your store is dirty. There's dust everywhere including a thick layer on top of your drink machine. The glass counter tops where you serve food are ALWAYS greasy and gross- looking. The nooks and crannies need to be cleaned. And the last time I was there, the staff t-shirts and aprons were filthy too. Because of the lack of cleanliness, I usually steer clear unless my kids really twist my arm. read more

Every stop at Mod has been fun. Great pizza, varieties, sizes and best of all its all the same price no matter the amount of toppings! Although the reason for the 3 star review lies on the fact of this one employee not being very inviting and skimming us of our sauce and cheese. Barely applying any sauce to the pizza where you could see the entire bottom and barely any sauce. Regarding the cheese, a little handful was thrown on, barely covering any of the pizza and leaving many spots entirely bare of cheese. I continued to ask for more cheese where maybe a 16th of what was already on was thrown on. The chicken we asked for was practically non existent and when asking for more cheese at the end, he proceeded to sprinkle some on for us. The pizza turned out great finishing it off with "red sauce dollops" having to add more sauce and then finally the amazing barbecue sauce. It was a great pizza in total due to its amazing ingredients and crust but the employee skimmed us and offered a not so inviting environment while appearing a little too high. read more

Worst pizza I've ever had. I ordered their Mad Dog pizza; the sauce was really sweet and the slices were so thin they were soggy.

The food was pretty good, but there wasn't the amount of sauce that I wanted (though that might have been my fault.) They play the music a bit too loud and with the addition of people it's impossible to hear. That's the only downside, though. read more

We had high hopes for MOD Pizza. We've been to a few of these assembly line style pizza places in California and Colorado, and I like being able to see how clean a place is and what people are doing with my food. Except when they live up to my worst fears right in front of my eyes. The guy that took our order was also the guy that started making our pizza. We was wearing a flour covered t shirt that looked dirty (and it was his shirt, not a uniform) and he was a bit disheveled. He told us he had not had more than four hours sleep in the last few days. He told us about a test he had to take at school. I am not opposed to chit chat with service people, as long as it doesn't impact the service. But this did. He was scatter brained and in the middle of ringing up our order, reached into his back pocket with his gloved hand, pulled out his phone, and responded to a text, shoved it back into his pocket and then proceeded to touch our food. Then he wiped his nose/face with his arm. I felt like telling him to stop and start over with clean hands and fresh gloves and I should have. He forgot one of the toppings on my pizza (didn't realize it was not there until we got home with them) and the food was not so appetizing after watching it being made. I ate a slice and put the rest into the garbage. Please provide your employees with fresh full body aprons daily and teach them about safe food handling practices. Gloves don't help if he wears them while handling money, credit cards, his personal cell phone and his face and then handles food. You should have a designated cashier who takes the orders and does not handle food if they are handling money. read more

I love the concept and the pizza is good. My friend took me the first time and there was one employee preparing pizzas who was kind of rude and seemed like she was having a bad day. Took my husband a couple weeks later and the same girl was working, and once again she was sorely lacking in friendly customer services skills, snappy and borderline rude. We will come back, because it's cheap and delish, but that poor girl needs to find another line of work. read more

First time to MOD pizza and I am sure I will return. Thankfully for my waistline there isn't one super close to me or I might be in trouble. What a great idea to have a Subway style bar where you choose any toppings.... yes I said any....for a flat cost. For just over $7 you could put every meat, every cheese, everything imaginable on the pizza. They also have already crafted ideas on the menu in case you are not as adventurous. I tried several different combos on my pizza - just adding a topping to one section to try it out. I had chicken and artichokes and olives, and onions... and I can't even remember everything.....and then added Gorgonzola and buffalo drizzle at the end. It was cooked and ready for enjoying in just a couple minutes. They have beer, wine, & soda to enjoy when dining in also. Very fun for families where everyone gets exactly what they want. I guess the only downside I see is that you might really enjoy a combination that you create.... and not be able to remember the exact recipe the next time! read more

I have to say, I was super impressed by this pizza. They have about 10 different pizzas to choose from, or you can build your own. Of course I built my own. They have a 6 inch and 11 inch flatbread style pizza. And the prices on the point too.! I wish I had a picture to show but it was so good I ate all before I thought about a picture. read more

I'm in love with this place! We have a lot of pizza places in Bend but this one is special because you get to build your own pizza with any topping you'd like...wait for it...at a flat rate! The only thing you can't determine is the crust which is thin and cooks in the fire quickly and nicely. You can also build salads the same way from all the ingredients offered for pizzas (plus lettuce of course). Last night I made a red sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, chicken, bacon, mushroom, olive, tomato, artichoke, roasted garlic, and oregano 11" pizza for $7.47 (flat rate). The employees were quick and very enjoyable to chat with. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Personal hygiene/Sanitation seemed a little lacking (one guy touched his hair with gloved hands & didn't change them, one girl scratched her mid chest with gloved hands & didn't change, cross contamination of meat & veggies), a lot of what we asked for was empty (cheese, basil, onions, roasted red peppers, etc.) & they had to be retrieved & refilled, internet orders not filled were needing to be ready immediately &owe had to stand & wait while 3 extra pizzas were made, pizza wasn't cooked thoroughly to heat all toppings & crust was gooey. Pizza wasn't cut & silver place marker was left in pizza due to it not being cut. Just a lot of people standing around & not a lot getting done, it seemed. I like the concept of MOD a lot. Basically 1 size of pizza sold at 1 price. You tell them what sauce and toppings. More or less doesn't make a price difference. You can have exactly what you want. I didn't find the taste amazing, but it was good. I think we're all particularly picky when judging pizza. Not a new favorite, but I see myself eating here again at some point. Went to mod pizza on a busy Wednesday night. Place was packed and it takes a while to get through the line but the workers were all really nice. The pizza and salad was great. The only reason I can't do 5 stars is because they've got to figure out a way to keep the table areas cooler. From the outside we were expecting a quiet pizza cafe type of place for a date night. What we got was basically subway for pizza. Fun concept, being able to customize your pie any way you want it and it was done speedy quick. We also tried a salad and breadsticks. Salad was decent, also customizable. Breadsticks were nothing to write home about. Prices were low, service was good. Biggest drawback for me was it was suuuuper loud, mostly from the staff not the clientele. Shouting welcome every time the door opened, and every time a pie can out of the oven, and "THREE PIES FOR CAROL" every time an order was ready was a bit much ;) two beer options (both local enough for my liking) a blonde and an IPA.
