Not going to lie, one of the best salads I have had in a very long time. Had a doordash delivery, I ordered the Greek salad and had jalapenos, asiago cheese added to it. Fresh packets of parmesan cheese. Was packaged good, the ingredients were fresh and great portions of each. Very good. I ordered the entree size salad and it was almost too big to eat in one sitting. I hope everyone has managed this Oregon "Transition" into spring. I have been pretty busy and I am a few reviews behind, but I figured I would do this one while it is fresh on my mind. Long story short (for now)...the wife was exhausted and did not want to cook. After picking up kids we headed to MOD in Cedar Hills Crossing. The kids wanted "the works" (i.e. pizza, salad and a no name, but I had my orders for the boss. They both got mini-mods and I got a reg size. The my son got sauce and the meats, and my daughter got a 5 (possibly 6) cheese pizza. I got the Tristin with my usual add one. The kids polished theirs off with no complaints, but I noticed the crust was pretty underdone. Not raw...or anywhere close to raw, but usually the crust is super toasty and crisp. This time it was basically white and pretty meh. I ended up eating half the pizza and bringing the other half home to toast up in the air frier. I am not sure if the help was rushed. Every time I go to this location, it just keeps getting worse and worse. There's no leadership behind the counter. All the kids that work there don't take their job seriously. Nobody pays attention to quality. They assemble pizzas and salads with zero care. The benefits of going to chain restaurants are consistency. You go to Starbucks and get the same tasting coffee every single time. You know what you're going to get from McDonald's. Unfortunately with mod pizza, every pizza is different, they're cooked differently, there's no consistency whatsoever. Unfortunately, the consistency is the poor quality and cracker like pizza. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza with ricotta. They were out of ricotta of course. The cheese is three inches from the edge and burnt. They are ok with giving this to a paying customer. Got there at opening. The area where they prepare your pizza was not clean. It was as if they had covered it from the night before then just uncovered it but not cleaned it. Floors and tables not super clean either. I'll admit I like things super clean in a restaurant. read more

I love MOD pizza, however I get a pizza with Pesto Drizzle. Most of the times I have ordered this there is pesto drizzle on the side and top of the box. I really enjoy the pizza, but I think about how good it would taste if all the drizzle was on the pizza rather than on the box! Probably the most poorly managed restaurant I have ever been to. The facility is poorly maintained and not cleaned. There is food left over all the tables. There is no apparent leadership or management in the building. The line worker is incredibly slow, demonstrates a total lack of ability to operate in a fast paced environment. Does not set himself up for success by leaving toppings empty and constantly moving back and forth. He can only do one thing at a time and forgets what pizzas have which toppings. While we were ordering there was a homeless gentleman who was dancing around the checkout area. He was rolling spray cans around the floor and throwing spray can caps between kids, back and forth over our heads. It would've been entirely unsanitary if it fell in the food while it was flying over the line. None of the staff understand how to politely confront people and ask them to leave if they are being a disturbance. Kids are now filming and engaging with the gentleman who is not here to eat. I'm genuinely lost with this generation of workers, and these kids who think it's acceptable to entertain behavior that could impact our food. The only thing this mod location has going for it, is its consistency of ingredients and cooking process. But aside from that, this is the worst representation of cleanliness, timeliness, management, maintenance, and environment of any mod that I have ever seen. Here's what we have come to dislike about Mod: Its frontliners seem not to be taught anything about customer expectations. We are heartily sick of being told: "I have three online orders before you." Believe it or not, that's an improvement over the worst case, which is that the first contact person doesn't even say that much to the customer standing in front of them. I have been ignored for five full minutes in a few cases, and people seemed stunned that this would bother me at all. While we do get that online orders come in and need to be filled, it's less easy to be understanding about that when you're standing there basically being told that the people who ordered online are the top priority. It's still less easy to be understanding that the individuals seem to have zero recognition of how this looks and feels. Maybe they all order everything online in their own lives and consider walk-ins to be strange technophobic creatures who truly aren't important. All I know for sure is that when I step up, money in hand and knowing what I want, I have to stand there and watch them make pizzas for a bunch of people who are not standing in front of them. At the very least, they need to be educated by management on how this feels to the customer standing before them. read more

They have the typical soda machine but offer 2 different ice teas and 2 different lemonades which is perfect for me to make a custom Arnold Palmer using blackberry lemonade. The pizza itself was just ok. I didn't care for the crust as it was kind of cardboardy (new word). I even added some garlic to it and it didn't help. The only reason I'm giving this place a 2 star and not a 1 is because the me food is actually good. I have visited this location twice. Both times were online orders. I arrived a few minutes after we were notified that our orders were complete. Each time we have had to wait over thirty minutes after we were told our food was ready. The second time we waited an hour from when we were notified that it was ready. Staff is overwhelmed and busy, I get it. When I came in the last time and asked if my food was ready they said probably not, didn't check my name. We recognize that they are short staffed, we were even ok with the idea of our food being ready later than expected. Our frustration was that we were alerted that our food was done and then waited an hour in the establishment, standing by the pick up order area. If you're going to give Mod a try then I would suggest trying a different location. read more

First time in today, though I've had their pizza before. An interesting concept - a fast-food environment for pizza. To be sure, Mod Pizza is all about speed - a line you move through to order size (6 or 11") and toppings. Salads are available as well. One of the selling points is that you can add ingredients with no additional charge. It seems to me they are a tad skimpy on toppings and if you ask for additional as I did, you may have to ask more than than once to get the pizza dressed the way you want. The environment is loud and 100% self-serve. Strangely, they only cut the pies in quarters, regardless of size. I was told they take Apple Pay but it did not work. The person taking payment said "sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't". Not today. A buddy from New Jersey invited me and a few friends out for dinner and a movie. It happened to be one of his friends birthdays but he didn't join us for food. The suggestion was MOD Pizza. He's from Jersey and for him to recommend a pizza joint, well that was a surprise. I'll easily admit that I'm more of the foodie person and the bigger pizza snob. I know I am and I hate a lot of pizza. But he swore this was good stuff. First impression was a pretty interesting space. Cool tables with metal piping, very open, bright MOD related art and photos on the wall and a brick oven. That meant good char on the crust. The philosophy of the place is one price and as many toppings as you like. Three sizes of pizzas and the middle one is good enough for one person. You can create your own pizza or go with one of the many options that they've created. I chose one of theirs because it looked so good. The Calexico has mozzarella, gorgonzola, chicken, jalapenos, buffalo sauce and their own MOD red tomato sauce. My friend got a pizza with mozzarella, pepperoni, meatball and red sauce. The third guy got the Ulysses which has mozzarella, parmesan, asiago, gorgonzola, fresh basil, garlic and mushrooms. All of the pizzas looked great. Mine tasted really good. The crust was great and the gorgonzola was what made the pizza pop. I did enjoy the two sauces and you could taste both, neither overpowered. I also had a slice of the pepperoni and meatball one. After all the spiciness of my pizza, it was a little timid for me, but it was good. Just look at the photos, you'll see some good looking food. I also made a quick tip about that Marionberry Lemonade. So worth it. They also had a pear iced tea that was ok, not my thing buy my buddy really enjoyed it. I liked the place, maybe in their expansion they will put one a little closer to Portland. With all the "gourmet" pizza shops in town that seem to believe their pizzas are worth over $20 a pop, they might do well because MOD keeps it's prices low and offer up a pretty good za.
