We have ordered online at least 3 times, probably closer to 5 or 6. Every time we come when the online order page says it will be ready, they haven't even thrown the pizza in the oven yet. Which sucks because you are probably already hungry AND you already tipped them. The whole point of placing the order online was to avoid the wait in store. Not ONE time has the order been ready when we show up at the allotted time. In today's case we came at 9pm as the online page stated to be here, they hadn't even made the pizza and now 15 min later it's still not ready. When you walk in the door the friendliest people greet you and ask if you've ever been in before. We had but not at this location. Mod pizza is by far one of my favorite pizza places so I was excited that they opened this one close to my house. The pizza tasted as well as all the other locations, I love it! What can I say about Mod Pizza in Lakeland Hills, other than a whole lot!  For many years, this was our favorite local pizza place.  That is, until 2 weeks ago this past Saturday.  At that time, my wife placed an online order  for 6 pizzas as we were celebrating our granddaughter's birthday.  Huge mistake! The restaurant had few if any customers and the only thing worse than how the pizza turned out was that of the total lack of customer service and care. Had we any idea that their online pizzas were not the same as one would order directly at the restaurant, we never would have done so.   I'm not a big fan of Totinos but the $4 ones at Winco and Fred Meyer, would have been far better. The lack of customer service and actually caring about the customer. continues now, two weeks later!  My wife was not only charged once for the 6 pizzas but twice. It was a total travesty and my biggest mistake was that I did not take pictures of these disasters to share with my friends on facebook.  As for the owner of this location,  perhaps you may want to have someone else try ordering online.  And at the very least, as it's now been 2 weeks, you still have not refunded the overpayment! read more

We placed a mobile order and mistakenly ordered it to the Lakewood store ‍ so when we went to pick it up here in Lakeland, obviously they didn't have it and of course they were super busy! Going to give you a three star. I like that you create your own pizza and salads. That is great. But today choosing my salad was not quite the best experience. First of all, the person making our pizza and salad had a very long beard uncovered. That was not inviting. Secondly, I would have chosen the romaine lettuce but it was ALL brown and unappetizing. I did mention it to the man making my salad, he said it was distributed to them that way. Honestly, it was not at all anything that should been put out for human consumption. The place is always clean. The music level is loud. So if you want sit down and visit, it's not quite the place for 5hat. This was the Lakeland hills location. Tonight not so MOD good, lines are long, as expected around 6pm. But after 50 minutes waiting for our pizza they were all burned a lot. We've ordered via internet, one time was ok the last time the toppings were incorrect. This time large portions were burned and most of the pizza over-cooked and hard. Management should have (freebie certificates) on hand for when this happens and give that out instead of offering to have you wait another 10-20 mins for them to redo your pizza. (I'm a bit picky and choose my toppings so just throwing together a few basic toppings and watching it closer before it burns wasn't an option for me tonight.) While they are friendly, I have learned from tonight not to go in when they are that busy. I will go back to internet ordering, but checking the pizza to make sure it's correct. Internet orders are 25 mins and take priority over standing in line, we witnessed that multiple times tonight. Sorry for the rant but not impressed tonight - would have blown it off if they would have offered a make good on my next visit. read more

Tried this location out for the second time tonight and ordered online for pick up. The first time we ate in and they messed up my pizza by forgetting ingredients somehow so I ended up getting my pizza free. Then tonight I went in to pick up our dinner (3 pizzas) at 6:13 since that's when it said they would be ready and they weren't even in the oven. The guy(I'm assuming the manager) felt bad that I had to wait longer so he gave us the pizzas for free. I love their customer service, but they need to make sure things are ready when they say they will be. We will give them another try since they're in our neighborhood but would use another location if this happens again. read more

Pizza was great, but the line was VERY slow. I've been to other locations and I have never waited this long--including during during Seattle pride parade. We were probably the sixth party in line, and continued to be as the line went out the door. I understand they are new, but they need to work out some kinks. Wanted something easy for dinner on Friday night after a long work week. Placed and online order around 6pm. Immediate pick up was not available due to order volume so I picked the next available options, 630pm with curbside pick up. Got to the parking lot at 635 and called to let them know I was there. They said they were running a few minutes behind but my food would be out shortly. Figured no big deal, but after waiting until around 715 I called back to make sure I hadn't fallen thru the cracks and been forgotten all together. I was told we are running about 30 minutes behind but it would be right out. Finally at 730, they brought the pizza out. Drove home to find my 10 and 7 year olds had both already fallen asleep and opened my pizza to find that when you order olives, apparently 1 slice is all you get. Very disappointed with my experience. Apparently going inside would have been the better option but trying to limit exposure for myself and my community leads to poor service. Was not offered a coupon, discount or any other incentive to keep my business here. I will be taking my business across the street to The Rock or Papa Murphy's in the future. I usually go to a different mod- the other location I usually go to has great customer service and smiles and is great... this one the people working seemed grumpy they had to work. They forgot my shakes and seemed irritated that I brought it up- half of it was vanilla and the other half blueberry- they didn't bother to mix it to make it the intended blueberry- I mixed it myself. Pizza was good! Salad Lettuce was on its last leg and ready to throw out. My son only wanted pepperoni pizza and wanted extra pepperoni - they did not put extra as requested. Everything that you hear of and like about Mod Pizza (friendliness, food variety & quality, etc.) is why you continue to visit. The staff, however friendly, is very disorganized. This, coupled with the loud echoing in the building, makes for a less than great experience. They ought to develop a more efficient way of processing, delivering orders.
