Being a resident of Lakeland Hills, I do my best to support the local businesses in the immediate area. My last visit at this Mod Pizza was approximately 1 year ago. Because of the poor tasting pizza / service, I swore I would not return to this specific location. Yesterday, my wife wanted pizza so we decided to give Mod Pizza another try. The initial employee greeted us and took our order. The pizza topping preparer took my order and continuously referred to me as "MAN". How rude!!! I'm in my sixties and this young kid did not have the home training or respect to refer to me as "SIR", "Mr", or "NOTHING" at all. I wanted to correct him but my wife nudged me. I've visited MOD pizza two times now. Both times I've had some issues. The most recent visit I had the following issues: ordered a pitcher of beer, received a pint. Ordered a milkshake, they forgot to make it, and lastly asked for mushrooms on my pizza and they forgot. We frequent this establishment quite often and generally have a good experience. Unfortunately, there seems to be a newerish blonde girl working the fire area that has a major attitude. She continued to roll her eyes when a group of us walked in, mumbling under her breath and shouting "WE CLOSE IN A HALF HOUR". No problem, we're happy to get our food to go? It's sad because the rest of the team was hustling and happy to serve but her poor attitude and customer service really showed over all the rest. Celebrated a friends' birthday here today. The back room was reserved (brrrrr cold when the doors are closed) 1st time in, really liked that you could add all the toppings you wanted for one price. Pizza service wasn't "super fast", but they were busy, so its not like they can cook pizza faster lol. I loved my pizza, so did my youngest (2) i really enjoyed the different drink options. I love mod pizza- I get a huge family salad with as much as I want and so much to choose to top with. It costs me $14! Restaurants charge that much for a Nasty small salad and u can't make ur own... Pizzas are also wonderful! This mod pizza supports public schools- on sundays in September they give 20% of all sales saying they are coming for the school- they give it to the school. That's nice! I don't know why I keep coming back. The food is actually good, but the service is just horrible. Ordered pizza at 5:37 pm. Their sign says superfast, but I would describe it as super inconsistent, and super slow. Order was supposed to be done at 5:57. I'm still here waiting for my food and it's 6:15pm. Wow!!! That is absolutely slow service and the communication on when the pizza would be ready is very off. This maybe my last time. Sad, because I have been a MOD fan for a long time, but the level of service is poor. This guy cooking the pizza seems to be the manager without care. Working slow and wearing a mask that is not a mask (it's a gaiter) and him and his staff have their nose all fully exposed!! Careless, wreck-less, and poor service. Sad that this is what MOD has come to in Lakeland!:( well i got two of my pizza's and am still waiting on one. It's now 6:21pm. Ordered online for pickup because *COVID*. Pepperoni, extra pineapple, jalapeños... apparently extra pineapple means nine pieces in total... My pizza was burnt, the cheese was over cooked... Usually love this place, however... very sad about my pineapple pizza... i guess this is what I deserve for liking pineapple on my pizza. I used to be a huge MOD pizza fan. My last experience at this MOD really made me question if I'd come back. 1) Online Orders- Online orders are great and convenient for customers, so I understand why they're done. However, 6 online order pizzas had to be made before they started ours, leaving us in line for an extra 15 minutes. Places like cafe rio now have a separate area to make online orders, MOD may benefit from doing something like this. 2) To compensate for us waiting for all the online orders to be made, the worker at the front assisted us in checking off what we wanted in the first station. However, the guys making the pizzas quickly rushed us past the area and missed many items we had asked for.... When we correct them on that, we got a lot of attitude back. 3)They didn't change their gloves between touching the meat and the veggies. For most, this isn't a huge deal. However, my mom and I are both vegetarian. When my mom went to eat her pizza, there were 2-3 chunks of sausage on the pizza... 4) They were out of several toppings and one of their two beers. Overall, it was a lackluster experience. Maybe it was just an off night, but if I do go back I'll probably just do the online order. read more

Not many choices on toppings but made order quickly and had nice employees. When I get pizza, I can't see paying for an expensive pizza and I feel like their prices don't reflect what you get. However, they were the only place that had a reasonable ready time for our pizzas that night, and all the employees were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. read more

Everybody in the family gets their own satisfying, 11" pizza for about $8 each (less for the smaller size, natch). The pizzas are soooo good. Ask for extra sauce though, as the standard amount is pretty light (extra will be like average anywhere else). Order ONLINE. So easy, and you can skip the line and pick it up in 30 minutes. Even if you want to eat it there, order ahead, I mean why not? We've been here quite a few times already and the pizzas are consistent... no unwanted surprises. The people working there are always friendly (for real, not forced), and always helpful and accommodating. Lots of good drink choices, too (beers, shakes, floats, ice teas, etc), instead of just the standard soda fountain. I haven't tried the salads yet, but I've seen them and they do look good, and I don't think you could go wrong ordering one. They make them up fresh too, on demand, like the pizzas. This is a refreshing - and long overdo - addition to the area, so give them your business! Edit: changing to just two stars. The last three times we ordered here, the pizzas were dry. Even though we ask for extra sauce, they keep making them the same...dry. Every pizza joint should be very worried about Mod Pizza. Creating your own pizza is super fun and not a rip-off like pretty much every other pizza place. What keeps us going back though is how delicious the pizzas are; the crust is perfectly chewy with the right amount of crisp, the toppings are yummy, and the cheeses are quite good. To top it off, these pizzas are priced to sell and their online ordering is a breeze, no app needed. P.S. I've only done take out so I can't comment on ambiance or service. read more

I like this place so far. They make just about everything in house. The decor is cute. They've got this street art style Auburn painted in room. There's a little outside area to eat too when it gets warmer out. The place is very new so lines are a little on the long side. I came in once first thing in the morning and it wasn't busy. It probably took about 10-15 min to order, have the pizza cook and be out the door. If you aren't familiar with MOD it's basically Subway for Pizza, you pick your crust, your sauce, cheese then toppings. They bake it in a fire oven while you wait. They have the regular stuff for pizza plus fun options to jazz things up like in-house roasted broccoli and corn. They also sell salads, shakes and floats. Coke products for beverages plus fresh brewed iced tea and two types of lemonade. There is also beer/wine. It's worth checking out. I'd recommend coming when they first open either if you're a first timer and or especially if you aren't prepared to be patient. read more

Does mod pizza know the meaning of extra cheese. When I ask for extra cheese it doesn't mean a sprinkle of 4 shreds on top and then give me attitude when I ask for more. Your slogan is unlimited toppings so stick by it. This location is also lacking in customer service, wrong online orders, missed toppings and even if they are not busy you need to wait at the counter to pay or order your pizza when one of the employees finally decides to help you. Need a consistent person at the counter to ring you up, there's 5 people back there give me a break . What happened to the mod pizza I know of at other locations ?????
