Best flavor and texture of Mochi donuts I've had in the twin cities. They do a great job of quality and freshness. Family-owned outlet of a chain. They also have some pre-made bubble teas and Korean cheese/corn dogs that I didn't try. The pistachio donut was my favorite of the three I tried. The lemon raspberry was nice - the glazes were sweet with a little tartness. The Nutella donut was by far the worst - tasted like bad cheap chocolate-ish icing with no hazelnut flavor at all. Watch outs: the Nutella donut is glazed with bad plain chocolate icing, and it's implied that you can only buy multi-packs of donuts. You can buy a single donut, but have to ask specifically for that.

Mochinut is really tucked back in the mall area, but I'm glad I found out it existed! I've had Korean corn dogs at other restaurants and love them. I tried the crunchy cereal corndog and it lived up to other local places and was pretty delicious. It was made fresh, which took a few minutes. They have a sauce table on the side where you can add spicy mayo, ketchup, etc. The interior is super cute and Instagram ready. I tried the raspberry funnel cake mochi donut and it was amazing. It tasted fresh and I love that it's slightly less sweet than regular donuts. The donut and corn dog totaled over $10, which is about average these days. It's a fun spot for a snack or sweet treat.

Found myself by this mochi donut spot and decided to try out a 3 pack for $10. I went with creme brulee, nutella, and strawberry yogurt. - The creme brulee donut was my favorite with its sugar crystals. It was the lightest donut of the ones I tried. - The nutella one tasted more like just chocolate. I liked it a lot, though I preferred it without the wafer. - The strawberry yogurt was light and fairly sweet. Not my favorite since I don't tend to go for super sweet donuts. The store is in a strip mall full of other businesses and tons of parking. Worth stopping by if you're in the area!

I have been waiting and waiting for this place to open and it is now open! It definitely is still working out its kinks so I do take that into account as you could tell many of the staff were still training and learning. I had never had a korean hot dog and got the classic half and half and potato half and half. The classic was absolutely AMAZING! YUM! the potato was good but the potatoes were a bit bland. They have sauces you can get on top of your dog. I ordered spicy mayo and since my order was to go, it came on the side so I was able to try it at my discretion. I also ordered the 3 mochinuts for $10. I got a plain one (I had to ask for this one specifically since they didn't have plain as a option) which was ok but didn't taste fresh. I also got a creme brulee and that was my favorite. The topping was absolutely delicious. The third one was a taro flavor and it just felt a little stale. The flavor options weren't terribly vast but you could tell they are still getting up and running so I am excited to see how they evolve. There were about 4 small tables for those who want to sit inside, but they were being used by patrons waiting for their orders and staff to fold boxes. With only being open for a short while they had consistent traffic the entire time I was there which is exciting.

Super excited for this place!! I remember when I first saw the signs go under for it!! It's a great addition to the area. I can imagine stopping over and getting a crunchy Korean hot dog with spicy Mayo, a guava chocolate mochi donut and a Thai tea on the way to the lake. It's fun having something new and unique to try. They had a variety of flavors and a cute interior with a some seating and a few chairs to wait for to go orders. I was greeted when I came in but then the staff seemed a little occupied by a customer service related phone call. I I know it can be hard to juggle everything. The hot dogs take a little bit a few minutes but they're worth it!! Can't wait to stop in again!!

If the review was based on the taste of food and drink alone, this would easily be solid 5 stars. Went at 12:45pm and donuts were fresh. Amazing texture and good flavor. The staff was was great. Here are my qualms. The place feels like they are trying to be Instagram ready, but at the expense of the practicality and cost of the dining experience. Example 1: The iced boba coffee tasted great but the container in which they serve it makes no sense to me and is a sensory destroyer. Yes it is very cute container and looks cool. However, the mouth on the aluminum lid is far too small for a boba tea straw. Every time you have to move the straw it sounds like nails on chalkboard. You have to use the straw because the ice chunks get in the way of getting to the bobas. Furthermore the aluminum is sharp and will cut your mouth on it if you're not careful. I'm left wondering if this can this can even be recycled. If not that just feels like such a waste of aluminum...not to mention, plastic. 2. The box that the donuts comes in is adorable but not sustainable. So much dye is used to make the box look cute. Again, pretty sure it can't recycle or compost it. 3 donuts = $10. Huh? I think if they cut down prices on their drink-ware and boxes, the donuts would not have to be so overpriced.

After we ordered and left the Mall, I was anticipating a delicious Noodle Corndog filled with cheese. To my surprise all that was inside was just cheese charged all that extra but for what?? After spending $70 plus 15% tip, yeah not ever happening again

Love that Uptown finally has a Mochi donut shop!! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu - the Korean corn dogs with cheese are so tasty, and they have so many different flavors of mochi donuts! I really liked the texture on these, nice and chewy. They also have an excellent lineup of boba drinks, served in aesthetically pleasing packaging. Will definitely be going back here asap!

Cute place inside. We were more intrigued by the corn dogs so we did not try the donuts but they looked good. The corn dogs were great, came with a lot of different sauce options, and not super messy (which is a bonus). It is nice that there is a parking lot which is sometimes hard to come by in Minneapolis. If you're in the lakes area and looking for some fried food, give this place a try :)

I love boba and a little alcy boba is so fun and unique (in the US at least). I also love that there is an option for food there as well, though I haven't actually tried any of it yet. Just nice to have food option! I went for the Valentine's specials that were donating part of profits to Immigrant Law Center of MN (woohoo go Tii Cup for doing what you can!). We came during trivia so there was a bit of a wait to be seated, but we got in after 30ish minutes. We just waited downstairs, which was nice because same building obviously. I got a cocktail that I cannot actually remember anymore (a good reminder to do reviews ASAP) :( I remember it was fruity (strawberry?), light, and yummy. My friend got the Golden Raspberry Beret which was more whiskey heavy. I liked it though, good amount of raspberry and cream and the popping strawberry boba were sooo good! The place itself is just too cute with its cozy lighting and plants! I can't wait until it's nice out again and we can sit on the balcony.

Stopped in for Valentine's Day special drinks at the bar, we came right when trivia was happening on a Sunday night so it took a while to get a table but we were able to wait downstairs and get some regular boba drinks. I got an Ube Twister with Coconut Snow and added Lychee popping boba, completely delicious. About 30-40 min later we got seated upstairs in the bar after being added to the waitlist by phone number. Super cute place, very cozy and low light. My drink was something with Japanese whiskey, raspberry, and popping boba. A bit heavy on the whiskey for my taste but my friend's fruity little cocktail was much better. Sadly we were seated after the kitchen closed so we didn't get to try any of the food, but will definitely be back!

Well thinking I would go to Pho Hua instead, I pulled intonthe Shuang Hur Grocer's parking lot thinking I'd grab a few things before heading north on Eat Street. Then I saw signs on the Shuang Hur building for a (new to me) Vietnamese joint in the same building. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! My Huong is an 8-top hole in the wall across the parking lot from the rear of El Nuevo Mariachi Restaurant. The place is homely, small, but brightly lit and plenty of day light through the picture windows overlooking Eat Street. It's a big contrast to Pho 79 type places that are dim and short on ambience. The clientele shows. Instead of just a bunch of Asians throwing down Pho, it's a mix like you'd see at Quang or Eat Street Crossing. I was seated right away, was greeted by a cheery Vietnamese lady, and ordered Hu Tieu Bo Khu (Beef Stew Noodle Soup.) It was a dish I haven't seen before even though I have been to so many Vietnamese places (see my other reviews and lists.) The dish came very quickly, and I was shocked that they didn't bring it with a veggie plate. Oh well. Well the best way I could describe Hu Tieu Bo Khu, its basically a pot roast over noodles. So the beefy broth like a less spicey version of Bun Bo Hue, with flavors of lemongrass and star anise, nicely garnished already with what would have been on a veggie plate. The broth was delicious, slightly sweet with the carrots, and the beef was fall apart amazingly stewed with deep flavor. There were other menu items like Curry Chicken pho and a Stewed chicken rice dish I'd have to return and try!
