I'm not usually a donut fan, but Mochinut completely changed my mind. These donuts are unlike any I've ever had--light, chewy, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness and icing. They're not overly sweet at all, which makes them even more enjoyable. My absolute favorite is the cookies and cream, and I'll admit I usually leave with 6 or even 12 at a time... all cookies and cream! If you think you're not a donut person, I highly recommend trying Mochinut. It's easily a 5-star experience and now my go-to spot for donuts. Stumbled upon this shop when I was dropping my car off for an oil change. It was really cute, with the service being quick and efficient. I tried a taro donut and the funnel cake. They were both SO yummy, I loved the chewy texture of the mochi donut. I also ordered an ube drink with mochi and a coffee drink. They were both really good, however they don't offer a different type of milk besides whole milk, which is a bit disappointing. I give it 4 stars for the donuts and 3 for the beverages due to the lack of options. Definitely worth a try and I'm curious to try their rice hot dogs in the future! read more

The donuts are consistent across mochinut locations and so i definitely had a huge belly laugh when i read the first person to review this location not because they've never had mochi donuts but because they think this is a small business. Close to 150 locations across the country doesn't sound like they are hurting for people's money especially at 9 dollars for 3 donuts. Personally id rather shop at a local mom and pop shop who don't have 149+ locations out here. Great examples are the local donut(Scottsdale) and mochi Roly in mesa. We came in today for a freebie donut we got off of instagram and tried the ube coated donut. It was cloyingly sweet. We also got the ube boba drink. It was so terrible that neither my son and i wanted to get past 2-3 sips each. The boba was over cooked and the ube drink was just off. My son who mind you LOVES homemade ube halaya so for him not to like it speaks volumes. He was so mad that the boba was bad that we had to go across the street to one of our staples. Pink panda boba at the gas station. Wasn't complaining there one bit. I drank mine too fast as usual. Can't say we will be back. It's fine but there are better options. Nice place. We stumbled across this place while driving by. You can choose from different types of pre packaged ramen and then cook it. The boba was delicious and we had the donuts too. I love how they use rice flour and it has a bit of a "sticky" texture to it. Would come back again especially since they are always offering different flavors of the donuts. read more

Had tried other locations before wasn't the biggest fan, but the donuts here are fluffier and chewier than other Mochinut locations I've been to or anywhere else selling mochi donuts in general. Maybe I came in on a slow day, but the mochinuts were not as fresh as the one from 99 Ranch food market. The drinks were pretty sweet, but I enjoy the sealed can-topper packaging. The service was okay...the cashier was a standoffish middle-aged Korean woman who appeared very judgmental in the way she looked at customers up and down before greeting them curtly when they entered. We came for the self serving ramen bar but in the past have tried the mocinuts and loved it. The ramen bar is a newer concept and it's cool but wish the toppings were more like a self serve bar and you pay flat rate for them. We went on their grand opening day. We had never tried a mochi donut before so we have nothing to compare it to. It was good. I was expecting the funnel cake to be my favorite and it was my least favorite of the 3. (Churro was #1). I rated it 3 stars because, yikes, $3.00 a piece seems like a lot compared to the other fad desserts / donuts nearby. They also serve boba tea and will be offering corn dogs in the future. It's a cute tiny place. They don't have that many options for the doughnuts. This place did not have the corn dogs when I went, which was the reason why I dove that far. I wanted to try it so I did, taste is good place is a bit pricy to me so I leave that to the ones that really love it and can afford it. I visited today for the first time and was really excited to have a mochinut so close to home. I often visit the location in Ranch 99 market and they are fantastic so I assumed this location would offer the same great experience. But I was wrong. I walked in and I greeted the woman behind the counter but didn't get so much as a smile or a hi back. My friend had already ordered for me and was making her food by the stations. I greeted my friend and was admiring the products on the wall, while still being stared at. I was reading the soup instructions and looking at the sides while this woman's eyes did not leave me for 2 seconds. Just staring not smiling or even saying anything which was uncomfortable. They also don't keep napkins anywhere their customers can access them so after getting sugar all over myself I asked her for napkins and she still didn't say a peep. Not a smile nothing, still. At that point we just quickly ate our food and left. It was an awkward experience and I'll stick to the Ranch 99 location in the future. The donuts were pretty dense and just tasted like they had been sitting out all day, not the usual texture or quality I'm used to. We visited in the afternoon on a Monday so I get the demand may just not be that high for this time of the day. The food was overall just fine and if the customer service was better, we would have had a pleasant experience as we always do. But instead it was uncomfortable and felt like we just didn't belong there. The sparkling strawberry was amazing as always though, so I'll give them that. I hope they provide her, or all of their employees, some hospitality training. It's okay to be somewhat personable especially if you want customers to return. We were very happy to see a boba shop opening at this location, but sad it's a chain. We went late on Saturday and all the rice doughnuts trays were full, but shop was empty. They felt and tasted like they were day old rather than fresh. Not too sweet, and ok flavor wise. The boba came in can type package and also felt sad and over processed. More like the boba you grab at the supermarket than you expect at a specialist store. Surprised to see they have been open for a month, as they were still unpacking boxes, with art in the floor and staff member called someone to check how to make our drink. We will give them a month or two to find their feet and try again.
